"You have a point, but either way she's going to die if I do nothing." Arin said as he sighed. He slowly pulled his swords from his sheaths as he looked up. Arin's ears flicked lightly as he looked back to Mir. "I'll give you a choice instead. You can either give her to me, alive, or I might have to cause you much harm." Arin's voice had went from calm to deadly quickly. Arin took a few steps forward so that he was only a few yards from Mir. Arin was also closer to the wolves though. He was on edge now. Even the small movement now would cause him to react.

Dona felt helpless even though Arin was risking everything on a point. Tip to either side the whole thing will fall and crash to the ground. Her ears folded over not liking this whole situation. She thought for a moment thinking if there was any one thing to do. She began to think that she was only looking someplace to have some peace and how it was turning she became and innocent bystander caught in some situation she was never aware of.

"Hand her over? Why are you so intent of getting this little morsel back?" Mir appeared genuinly puzzled, then his face turned poisonous again, "Unless that's exactly what she is to you. A morsel. You hear that, little one? If I give you up, he'll drain you of all your blood. Such a cowardly thing to do. He gains your trust, and when you're not looking, he'll snatch you up," he tightened his grip on her and spoke the rest of the words into her flattened ear, "and suck all the blood from you body, leaving you a dried husk."
He kept his eyes on Arin the whole time, a laughter burning in his gaze as he toyed with the child's mind.

Kaiya stood up and pulled an arrow back in her bow before letting it fly past Mir's face and hit the head wolf on the shoulder," I'm sorry, but you were kind of in the way. You know it's much easier from a tree." She managed a slight smile and stayed put where she was. Kaiya was now sure that Dona would be fine now that there was two of them. They would always be someone to make sure she was ok.

Dona was now really confused and shook her head. "this is just a bad dream." she spoke softly "i'll wake up in my ragged bed cause none of this is real." she continued to speak to herself. He eyes tightly closed as she covered her ears. She felt as she opened them she would magicaly be back home. But it didn't work.

Arin winced slightly at Mir's comment, but he shook his head in reply. "I see you relized it. Your right, I am a vampire. The biggest diffrence between me and you though it that I dont drink blood. I can smell it on you. I'm one of a few vampires who can survive without blood. I can thank Kaiya for that." Arin was quiet as he spoke. He let out a sigh as he looked back to Kaiya for a moment before turning his attention back to Mir. Arin closed his eyes in thought for a moment as Kaiya let loose her arrow. He mearly ignored the fact she had nearly hit Dona, it was better than Arin though. He couldnt take the chance of getting close. "Dona it isnt a dream. Horrible things happen to nice poeple. Its a fact I've learned with life. My brother was a good example in his time." Arin held his blades out away from his sides as fire started to slowly dance across the left one, and lightning across the one at his right. "If you want her so bad vampire, I say we have a duel over her." Arin's voice was strangly calm. He had no intention to lose, but he wasnt sure if he could beat Mir in a fight. Regarless it wouldnt surprise Kaiya that Arin was about to fight Mir alone. Arin was sure she would relize it was the safest way to do this.

Mir had to restrain himself as Midnight yelped. He spun around to face his other opponent. "So you're the one that's killing my pets!!!" he hissed.
Then resuming his cool demeanor. "A duel? Sounds like fun. You win, and she's yours. I win, " he took her ear between his teeth and bit down, "and she'll be payback for my pets."
He dropped the girl next to Midnight, and ordered the wolves to stay still just as the swarmed around her.
"Is there anyone I'll need to send letters to when you die. You might want to write them now if you're even literate," he smirked.

The relief didnt show, but he was relieved when Mir excepted his duel. He wasnt happy to see him bite down on her ear. He had dealt with something close to that before, it hadnt been pretty. Arin had soundly beaten the person half to death that had done it. "There isnt a point in me righting a letter. I have no family besides Kaiya. They've all been dead for years. The only person I could go to would be my brothers grand son. He might care. Though you should relize this. I'll die and take you with me if its neccesary to save that girl. My name is Arin. Before I fight you, whats your name." Arin let his sides drop to his sides were the elements that circled them lessoned slightly. He shook his head lightly. His ears were low on his head. "I will not lose this fight."
((Dont feel bad, I've played jerks before to. I may not like it, but someone had to do it -.- ))

Dona opened her eyes when Mir bit down on her ear. When she was sat down she touched her ear which was lightly bleeding. She gently touched her ear cringing from the pain. a little green light emitted from her finger stopping the bleeding from her ear. she opened her eyes again feeling the pain leave her ear. The wolves where all staring her down but waited for their masters orders. she looked at Arin hopping he would pull though for her. She clenched her hand tightly half in fear and half in hope.

[[yea besides your doing a really good job. it's always always hard to find a person to play a really good bad guy. they're like in demand nowadays =)]]
Kaiya looked quietly on at the two before looking over to Dona. She then turned her head back to Mir and Arin. Kaiya kept an arrow pulled back just in case. She wouldn't interfere if she didn't have to, but if Arin got hurt too badly she'd let it go. Kaiya then murmured her breath for only Dona and maybe Arin to hear," Everything will be ok. I promise."

"I am the Lord of Wolves, Mir Ulrich," he said proudly as he brandished his rapier. His title was self created, but there was enough local legend to support his claims. At Arin's last statement he laughed, "You can try, boy!" No mere blade will cut my flesh

"I will." Was Arin's quick reply as he swung his sword up. Lighting roared in the sky before dropping to the ground around them. In his head the things he had learned about vampires went quickly. He knew right away from the way Mir looked that he wasnt normal. Arin had a feeling he was going to learn just how much quickly. Arin lunged forward as suddenly as the lightning hitting the ground. Fire danced across his blade as the secound blade stayed in a definsive position. He was unaturaly fast for a human and for a vampire, but it was only becuase he was a neko. It mixed with being part vampire helped with simple things like speed. It even helped with stamina, but Arin wasnt known to tire himself out quickly.
((Its acualy a compliment when you think about it ^^ It just means you can play good characters and bad characters. I know plently of poeple who cant play both good.))

Dodging the attack fluidly, Mir didn't even bother to strike. He had to admit that the boy's speed surprised him. The only way to deal with this was to wear him down, get him to use up all his energy in one attack.
"Is this your first time with a sword?" he mocked then prodded Arin's side with the tip of his blade, a non-lethal poke.
((thanks, I'm actually not so good with good-guy characters...I'm too tempted to be evil))

Arin noticed Mir dodge as he had thought he would. Arin 's secound blade moved to block Mir's sword even though it wasnt a leathal swing. Mir's blade managed to still cut through his shirt, but Arin was already away from Mir, a grin on his face. "Interesting that you should say that. No its not, but I cant say I've had to worry about fighting someone like this in a few years." Arin said as he spun his blades in his hands. Arin planted his feet firmly on the ground before lunging at Mir agian. Arin didnt swing though. Instead he jumped to the side as he came close to Mir. Arin swung quickly with his left blade as he brought the right in for a quick stab at Mir. Arin hadnt forgot how to use a sword, he was just trying to get used to its weight in his hands first. As soon as he had dealt with that he could acauly show Mir he knew all to well how to use his swords.
