Her face darkened as she remembered her purpose for creation. "I don't want to be the goddess of vanity," she told him. "I also don't want to marry Narcissus. I want to chose who I love. And there are small things that you mortals take for advantage... Such as being able to touch something and being able to feel the texture, not just the pressure and the heat. Or being able to taste what goes in your mouth..." Narcissa shook her head and sighed softly. "I'm incapable of doing any of that because, in basic terms, I am still a clay doll. However, if I find myself a place here, I have been promised that I will be turned mortal, to live my life as I chose."

Leon blinked a few times a tad unsure of what to say. So the girl was betrothed to the source of the word Narcissistic. He kinda felt bad for her but there wasn't anything he could do for her so he just smiled, "Well I'm sure if you're desperate enough you'll find some way to get along here that will convince them. Anything is possible here. At least from what I've seen."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I must be depressing you," Narcissa apologized. She felt bad for listing her problems to him. Tilting her head, she asked, "What about you? What's your life been like, before coming here?" The clay doll was curious as to what a normal life was for mortals.

Leon looked at the girl and smiled, "No you weren't depressing me." She wanted to know his story but he felt quite normal compared to her so he wasn't so sure if he wanted to. He thought on it for a moment and then started, "My parents are military, officers actually. I really don't know a lot about how they met but things were pretty good at home. I would get up and go to school with my sister at this private school on base. I mean things were cool and all it just wasn't the right place for me anymore. Not after I got my powers. My sister isn't old enough to be here and she hasn't exhibited any abilities so I'm the only person from my family here. There you have it. I'm pretty much a simple military brat."

"Sounds like a dream..." the want-to-be human said softly. Narcissa knew that, for all intents and purposes, she had no family. No parents, no siblings, nothing. Instead, she was adopted into the complicated extended family of Greek gods, where she didn't exactly fit either because of her breakablity compared to them. However, she sort of understood what he meant about being a military brat. "Athena is the goddess of war... Does that make me a 'military brat' too?" she asked curiously.

Leon looked up at the sky and thought on it for a second, "Well I guess you could be?" He really didn't know enough to say but he figured that it was possible, "I have to many authority issues to be in the military like they want though, unless I was in charge, then I wouldn't have a problem."

Narcissa laughed lightly as he tried to answer her question. When he mentioned authority issues, she asked curiously, "How will you deal with the teachers, then?" Being raised by gods left a girl unable to really understand not following an authority figure's orders. She was used to being bossed around, and she usually didn't have bad humor over it. Instead, she found the silver lining of the situation and enjoyed herself.

Leon smiled and looked at the girl, "The question is how will they deal with me." Leon wanted to drive the teachers insane and try to prove that they didn't control him like they thought they did. His grade yes that they controlled but he wouldn't let that get to him.

"Are they all much older than you all?" she asked curiously. She couldn't exactly use her own age as a reference. Hephaestus has modeled her to be seventeen, but she had only been walking around for four years or so. It left her using other people's ages for reference rather than her own. As she spoke, she absently began playing with one of the curls that had pulled free of her braid.

Leon was a bit confused by that question. He reminded himself though that she apparently didn't know a lot about life in their world or how things worked for that matter, "Well they have to be older by at least five or six years but there are so many races there is no telling how old that they might be."

"That's right, there are different races here, and some age differently," she recalled out loud once he reminded her. Being surrounded by deities who were worshiped by humans made her forget the other races at times. The clay doll was curious about these other races and what their abilities were. However, she didn't think her new friend would know... Oh! She blinked and laughed lightly. "I just realized, I don't even know your name," she told him with a bright smile.

Leon had completely forgotten to introduce himself, he felt kind of absent minded once she reminded him. She didn't seem to mind though, actually she seemed rather amused. "Oh my name is Leon. I don't believe you've told me yours either. That is if you would like to be called something besides clay girl." He smiled lightly with a bit of a laugh in his voice as he joked with her.

Narcissa laughed, not insulted at all by his nickname for her. There were worse things, after all. "My name is Narcissa," she told him, "Though, I also answer to Nara." It was surprising to her how easy it was to talk with him. She would have thought it to be difficult for mortals to accept her.

Leon was a tad surprised by the reaction. He didn't really like her real name, it just made him think of vanity and self centered egotism, but Nara was nice. It kinda felt like it came off of the tongue just right. Narcissa kinda sounded like some strange illness or some ill attempt at naming a child while drugged out after birth. "Well then I'll just call you Nara. Try to keep things down to as few syllables as possible."

Naricissa shrugged helplessly. "I didn't really get a say in how I look or what my name was," she reminded him. "Narcissus is only capable of loving himself. I had to look like a more feminine version of him, and have a similar name. The only part of me that isn't like him is my personality, which no can explain why I came out so different from their intent." The clay doll had been baffling the gods since she came to life. For all intents and purposes, they had been expecting her to be a vain, self-centered person like her betrothed was. Instead, a sweet, normal, if a little lonely, young girl had been formed.
