PEOPLE PEOPLE, Relax! You've got to remember that we just heard Lee's voice for only the last five minutes of the show! He hardly done anything youthful at all. You can't judge him yet. The youth might not be sucked out. He may be cooler later (when he kicks Sasuke's emo a**). Once we see more Episodes with him then we should actually think about it.
But I think his voice is Okay, not stupid, not perfect, just okay. It doesn't bug me at all, but i expected him to have more like a high pitched voice, not too much. Just to make him sound a bit more.... ya know, spiritual.

Wow, maybe I'm crazy but I really like Gai's voiceactor.
Granted, he does take many little liberties with the script.
"Hey Lee!!! What's shakin'?!" (And lack of...YOUTH IS EXPLOSION!)
It works well for an english Gai, but wouldn't work so hot for...the actual Gai.
Well, we will see if he screws stuff up eventually with his artistic liscence.

Gai's voice actor has a sexy voice.
But I don't think it's quite Gai.
It seems to me that he's a little too....flamboyant. Gai's supposed to be brimming with energy and life and be a little flamboyant.
But that "Heeeeeeeeeeeey, Lee!" shot rainbows at me, I swear.
I almost died laughing at the interplay between Gai and Lee though. And I screamed at the television when Gai said that Lee was going through a phase instead of the springtime of youth. Not to mention Gai's...hip and modern language. Well, people don't talk like that too much anymore, so I guess that makes him kinda old fashioned....in a recent sense.
But he's supposed to be the foil of Kakashi's aloof coolness.
So I guess it works.

There voices don't bother me at all. But i couldn't breath when Gai popped up. I was in a death laugh. My mom was shocked and said "THIS IS GAY!" XD;;;

Kiwi feels like she should say something...
I've seen Lee's subbed voice, so I'll admit the dub sounds pretty different. Like you've said, it's not bad, it just isn't as /youthful/. And all his formal stuff sounds like when my sister impersonates a robot.
I've never heard the Japaese Gai (sadly), but I think I like his English voice. You know, I'm doing that whole 'seeing the world with unclouded eyes' thing. It's funny and Elvis-y and even though it's not really /Gai/, it's good. Like if...Iruka turned older and more youthful and tried to be Gai. Fun, but still not Gai. You know?
And that is Kiwi's pointless rant-type thing.

The actor playing the English voice if Gai is apparently the same guy who voiced the Tick. That takes me back...
*ahem* While I think Gai's English voice itself isn't all that bad, I don't like the script and the way in which the actor seems to have been directed. The voice could've worked, but there was a distinct lack of the exuberance that makes Gai Gai. At least in my opinion anyway. He doesn't sound...flamboyant and youthful. He sounds like a cheesy hack comic.

ZOMG! I think Gai and Lee hava the best American dubbed voices EVER, and I am npt ashamed to admit it! I love them to death, I was excpecting geeky and got the best ever! *obsess obsess* I forever luff the American them...even though I would've anyway...

Lee's voice is smexy. Gai's is OK. I forgot what Tenten's voice sounds like. Neji 's is pretty good. Ino's is ok. Shika's is smexy. Chouji's is weird. Kiba's sounds good. Hinata's is too meak.
Shino's voice: WHAT THE HELL!!!! He sounds like a friggin JOCK!!!!! T__T KABUTO'S sounded better!!! gonk
I'm depressed now.

Actually it was Kiba and Chouji's voices that depressed me the most. Before seeing the episode, someone told me that Kabuto's voice sounded like the horrible voice we use for our "nerdy Kabuto" joke, but I actually thought his voice sounded fine. It'll be added to the list of "Dubbed Naruto Character Voices That I Can Tolerate" list.

Okay! So, I really, really like Gai's voice! I can't exactly explain why, but when I heard it, it just filled me with a strange joyus feeling, and I couldn't stop laughing for like five minutes. Oh, Gai, how I love you!! heart I just hope it stays that, uh... magical, but sometimes voice actors change how they play a character... Which I actually hope is the case for Lee's.
Lee's voice isn't bad, it's just that his speech patterns remind me heavily of a guy who would play D&D all day. Rock Lee the dungeon master! Oh God! D:
Okay, I suppose the way he speaks is meant to show how polite he is or something, and I know he has strange speech patterns in the Japanese version, too, it's just that... Well, I don't know... It just sounds weird and kinda bad to me.
But I'll give it time! Maybe it'll get better, or maybe I'll just grow to like it more!
