Mordock smiles from his position across the battlefield. Xi was on his way and things would soon get quite interesting very soon. "Here he comes My Lord, straight into your absolute embrace." He grins grimly as he takes a few steps forward. The rest of the ranks of undead around him take a few backward away from him, giving the death knight room for the on coming battle.

Dropping his sprint Xi slowls and comes to a stop a few yards from the enemy forces. He takes a deep breath and shouts across the distance "You would dare show your rotting face near me Mordock!? I thought we'd settled things a long time ago, and now you're here calling me out once more. Your king is quite the fool after all isn't he?"

With a smirk Mordock responds "No, not a fool, simply persistant. Determined. My Master would have never made it to the throne he has now if he gave up after every set back." He draws his runeblades and thrusts his right hand forward. Chaotic black energy arcs from his palm to Xi, with the hand at the end of the arc grabbing the target and quickly drawing him in towards Mordock's oncoming bloodthirsty runeblade.

Xi only has a moment to react, drawing his legs up a little towards his chest, his body turns to solid iron, thus making his form drop just below the oncoming attack from the change in his weight. Releasing his iron body he rises with a swift uppercut aiming straight for mordocks chin.

Mordock takes a step back and barely catches the fist with his chin. He wasn't expecting Xi to avoid his swing, but he focused and all the runes on his right blade go dark and the ground immediately at Mordocks feet is overtaken with corruption and it spreads out quickly to a 15ft radius eating away at life force caught in it's reach.

Xi decides he's had enough and uses his temporal distortion, ignoring the Death and Decay on the ground. He takes a step forward and lands a solid roundhouse kick in Mordocks stomach, then kicks off with the foot still on the ground quickly bringing the other down and drives another solid kick into Mordocks spine. His posture only has time to slightly change before the second blow. He puts his hands to either side of him and several crystaline orbs come to both hands. In an instance he lets them fly into the ranks of the undead. "Two...." Pivoting, he wraps his arm around Mordock's midsection. "One..." Xi's temporal distortion fades right as he jumps, him and Mordock both fly a good distance from the momentum of Xi's second kick and Xi hits the ground running as the crystal orbs go off like bombs sending shrapnel everywhere, horribly mangling and crippling the front ranks.
With Mordock unconscious, Xi runs hard towards the coast. He knew of a few coastal caves that would serve him well enough to get himself collected. As he goes he recalls a large handful of the shards from the orbs into one of his pouches, he was going to need them when Mordock wakes up...

Was that a premotion?
Even if it was, I've had others where Zejx dies, but he's still here. He's still with me. So this one won't become true either. Will it?
It won't. I won't let it. He's going to live. Wether he wants to or not...
>>She looks off to the side but can't see him. Crawling out from her sleeping bag she crawls over to where Zejx is keeping watch. She sees his outline moments before her hand touches his leg. He'd fallen asleep against the tree.
Still uneasy, Tyera curls up next to him, draping the blanket over the two of them she decides to finish the watch<<

It was kinda funny, all he ever wanted was to grow up with his childhood friends and have a normal life. Now, he was the only one left in this world. Okay, maybe not so funny. Sad would probably be a better word for it. Either way, it wasn't the way he ever thought it would turn out. It was a long adventure that turned a normal blue haired boy to one of the last legendary guardians of the angelic line.
However, it also ended with his own power turned against him. Now he was dying. At least when he used his strength. Now he is forced to only use it in an emergencies, but how long will he be able to last. It was only a matter of time before there were too many emergencies. One day, he would...
Zejx slowly opened his eyes. Even though everything was a blur, he could tell it was just before daybreak. It took another moment before he realized that Tyera was next to him. He gave a small smile before having a deep yawn. "Looks like I fell asleep. Sorry."

He returned the smile and looked up toward the sky. The sun was just coming up over the horizon. He took in the sight, but for a moment he wondered how many more he would see. Zejx quickly shook that thought out of his head. He didn't need to be thinking like that. At least not right now.
"Yeah, I guess I needed a bit of rest. Just be sure to wake me up next time I'm sleeping on my shift okay?"

He could tell that she was worried about something other then the food, but he also knew how she tries to keep things like that from him to not worry him. Just like he used to do... okay and maybe tries to still do too. Guess it really can be annoying when you wish to help someone.
"Don't worry. I think we are near a town. And you know..." He looked to the ground. "We could both get a full nights rest if you would just let me put up a barrier. I highly doubt small spells like that would cause any harm."

I'm not taking any chances. Especially when there might not be anyone after us. We've traveled pretty far and haven't run into anything. No one's tried to hurt us or follow us or anything.

He tensed up a bit at first when she put her hand on his leg, but forced himself to relax. He was still getting used to stuff like that. After a small sigh, he looked up toward the sky again.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. If there is someone out there powerful enough to have created us fallen guardians, it would be useless."
