I was at Pow's house and she showed me Gaia. She told me to join or she'd hurt me. Knowing how insane Pow is, I joined once I got home. She also told me to go to Gaia University Dorms [at that time, it was ALWAYS on the first page], and I am STILL a part of that thread today. n_n

I'm a forum junkie. Someone in GCC (Gamecombos.com) gave me a link to a forums where "your avatar is a chibi and you can dress them up". I though it was stupid at first but then I saw some of the outfits you could make and decided to join up. Of course, I was lucky enough to have signed up right when it first started. biggrin

My friend Mist Angel 19 showed me the site and almost practically signed me up... so i showed Aquafire, and JuJuBe..etc
although its strange, my VERY best friend joined and go off of gaia in a heart beat. she didn't care. and she STILL won't go back to it. but her younger sister does.... sweatdrop

Mmm...One of my friends was always doing forum stuffs, so she told me about a bunch of them. Most of them bored me, but then she showed me this one and I was immediatly addicted. I mean, I used to just come home from school and RP until 12:30 at night...it was bad o.O I still love Gaia, although I feel it's gone down a bit. The people aren't quite as fun anymore...Not like us who have been here since the start ^.~
Oh, Selphie Timmet (or something along those lines) showed me it, then I got all my friends addicted too ^.^ Although, they don't play very much anymore crying

blaugh Anyway! I found Gaia cause I remember looking at someone's art work (its been a long long time I don't remember) and they mentioned Gaia was starting and stuff. Then I forgot about it. Then Divi (my best friend) told me about it again and I signed up cause we love the roll playing.
Then I got addicted cause I was involved with so much stuff and had so much friends ... that I miss. crying Guardian and bubblegum and Wreck and ..... Waaaaaaaa!!! *goes looking for old friends to glomp now*
Edit: PS!!! reading Kura X's post reminded me. I also stayed and got addicted because of how cute the avatars were and getting gold. The Chatterbox was the best place back then!!! So much fun.

Patton I don't remember the GaiaChat, though I've heard of it. Did I ever participate? surprised OMG! I remember the day Gaia was down for a few days because of updating or something. I don't remember. And I was so addicted that the no gaia was driving me crazy. And some people were in the Gaia Chat room when it went down. So everything was down except the chat. So Mr. Ma was in there with a ton of other people. And they called it the "Bomb Shelter" And everyone who wasn't in it supposedly was exposed to radiation from the "bomb." (gaia going down) Anyway. Mr. Ma found a way to get V Knight and I in the chat room. And we come in like zombies!!!! And starting eating people!!! It was SO FUNNY!!!! And the cowlady was there! And a bunch of other people. Awww. talking about zombies ..... ZombieTonyBlair!!! He was cool! 3nodding

I found the link to Gaia posted in the BAAU forum by..Locke I think...maybe lanzer..((too many L names!!)) and I waited 2 weeks before curiosity took hold and I entered the land that was to claim my life and give me my corsage that n00bs ask me for 4 days later when I popped my head into the Gaian Ball.
I then joined the University, met Boom in the Dorms(where I still go) and eventually got into Envision Realms where I met my family. -grins-
I also dragged about 75% of my friends onto Gaia...but most of them stopped in about a month or so. Cept Jano and Raitoningu. But Rai doesn't gaia that often.
so. yes. by the way...((BUY THE BAAU COMIC!! Goes on sale at Fanime and AX! (maybe other locations!)

jadonblade i found it on l0ckes website, as ive been a big fan of his art for ages. ^_^ and i was going through a very boring patch at university, so i set up camp in the library (didnt have a pc at uni then) whooaaa...I missed this post.. You were my teacher in that class...in GU...XD!! ahh. nostalgia.

I joined because AidanMoon kicked me until I did, and because I'd been pointed in this direction several times before. sweatdrop I STAYED because I got hooked on the MK thread, which is now closing down. crying crying gonk
