Adam screeched in pain and acid spittle flew from his maw onto the hood of the jeep.
His leg was regenerating, but it would take time. He used his tail to help him scuttle across to the back end of the jeep, poising himself there and staying still and silent. He was cloaked, and hated himself for not remembering to acclimate his body heat to stay hidden, which he did now. He would lay low for the moment and wait for his leg to heal.
He had to wonder though why the sniper hadn't gone for one of his hearts or his head...he shook off the feeling when he remembered he wanted to pump this marksman full of neurotoxins.

The Sniper watched the heat go away after Adam was shot. But he watched the hood of the jeep as it steamed and disingrated. The jeep swerving violently as men screamed. The Snipers eye's focused on that jeep. Adam was hidden but not for long he watched as the acid smoke swirled around a solid invisible form. He smirks.
"Tag" He fires another round into Adam "Your it Adam"

Em was having a slightly difficult time keeping the vehicle on the road. The passenger sided front tire was completely gone, they were riding on just the rim which threw a spray of sparks into the air. Through the cracked front windshield she could see the bridge. The bridge meant they weren't that far away from Aekea.

(( Forgive the slow posting but lots of us are doing finals and are out of town. During the summer months I do expect a lag. But remember that the Holiday dances will still continue!))

The jeeps kept pace, the one Adam was on swerving back and forth as obviously someone important had been poisoned.
The Snipers bullet rips threw the smoke swirling it into beautiful patterns and struck the 'Nid on the shoulder, ripping threw it and out the other side
The secound jeep drives up to the side of Jerons care, the driver snarling at Em he turns the car sharply and slams its side into Jerons car in an attempted to drive it off the road.

Em glared back at the other driver wishing she had some sort of projectile at this moment in time. Looking back through the front windshield she saw that they were lined up with the rail of the bridge.
"HOLD ON!" she yelled turning the steering wheel, making a sharp turn away from the other vehicle. The sharp turn and lack of tires sent their own car into a spin, but at least it was free and away from the other one ((sending them into the river perhaps ^_^?)) . Free of the other vehicle, she reached back grabbing the package and placed it on the floor at her feet. It took a moment to get orientated again and Em slammed down on the gas, kicking up dust and jumping back onto the road making a straight run to the bridge.

Adam snapped after the second bullet hit. Something about being someone's target from so far away set something off inside the bug's head.
He was being hunted...he wouldn't accept that.
No more acting human.
Adam shot his tail through the back of the car and wrapped it tightly around the neck of one of the passengers before leaping from the speeding car off the side of the road, and devouring the screaming man as quickly as inhumanly possible. Like a piranha he stripped the man clean quickly and his body was already using the energy to speed up his regeneration from the wounds. Whoever was shooting somehow could still target him...though he didn't know how. Adam rolled in the dirt and through a bush to attempt and mask any scent or tracers on him before cloaking and running as fast as he could on all fours in the direction of the shots.
If he could take out the sniper the others would be fine...hopefully.
"We will see who's hunted this day." He hissed.

The Jeep on the side of Jerons car echoed in a chorus of screams as the car tilted and jumped of the road into the water with a huge splash a loud noise.

Carter smiles when he watches the man get pulled from the car. He watched as Adam feasted picking up his gun he takes his time packing it up. Leaving the bag there he lights a smoke and takes a deep breath, tilting his head up a long scar was visible. He turns and disappears into the Tree's. His tail curling around his leg.

Adam's original programming was in full effect, his only goal currently to find and kill the sniper. He ate varying animals he managed to run across along the way to keep his metabolism in its heightened state, and his senses were magnified.
He knew the area and its smells, they were familiar too him. Something was out of place, a smell that was both familiar but out of place here.
And then he smelled tobacco. Smoke. A cigarette.
"Meat." He hissed, he leapt into the trees and quickly made his way through the dark canopy, he knew he was getting close and eventually slowed down his pace to avoid notice.

Adam hit the small area finding the bag that held the gun, and the trail of smoke leading into the woods, as he follows it the smell gets stronger and he sees the heat from the cigarette. Then on close inspection he finds that it is not in the mouth of a man but set gently in the fork of a tree, and a soft click sound from behind and a beeper.
"Tag Adam" The twang of a bow, and the feeling of it hitting a soft spot between his armor plates of chitinous armor. And the beeps quicken and with another click it explodes sending Adam threw the tree ahead. Splinters flying up threw the air.
Carter jumps down from his tree still holding the bow, the quiver around his hips. He smiles softly and natural smoke streams out of his mouth, eyes glowing in the dim lights. He pulls up another arrow it ticks gently, the small explosive device at the end, and a wicked looking barbed head.
"Here have another kiddo. On the house" He aim's into the smoke and fires.

The explosive arrow went off behind Adam as he was already leaping through the air towards his assailant, screeching his fury and acidic blood trailing behind him.
He hit the dirt and made a lightning fast pounce forward, throwing his body into this man with his full force behind it, blood hopefully burning him even as the wounds healed.

Carter looked surprised when the Nid jumped from the flames and hit him. He drops the bow, the acid burning into his nice jacket and his flesh. But the pain was nothing he couldn't work threw. His claws grow and he grabs Adam lifting him up and over by the bugs own momentum and tosses his backwards off the Daemon.
Carter rolls and gets to his feet quickly turning and pulling out a gun a lazor sight on it and fires after Adam, the ground and tree's exploding form the bullets as the Assassin shoots at his moving target.

Adam became not more than a blur moving through the trees, his chameleon scales straining to keep up but making him appear little more than an outline. He leapt from tree to tree and waited for his opening, taking it and leaping upon his foe.
The bug pinned Carter to the ground and uncloaked, Alien Eyes staring into his and his fanged maw dripped with digestive juices.
"DG commands this mission completed. Our friends should be completing it as we speak. Now we just need to deal with you."
