LokiLB i have now read some of mythical detective and of ragnarok. i still like loki from mythology the best, though.
and what i have read of mytholgy--not that much, mind you--it sounded more like loki killed baldur for amusement and out of spite. he was treated very badly by the aesir, so what did you expect him to do?
another reason i love loki, i used him to make a huck finn paper for english interesting Interesting, Huck Finn and Loki...I want to know! Please tell! 3nodding

another reason i love loki, i used him to make a huck finn paper for english interesting He killed Baldur for the fun of it. Then again, he might have been just playing around, and not expected the arrow to really kill Baldur. And he was jealous of Baldur. Err... He wasn't terribly good to the Aesir, either... sweatdrop Of course, many things that the Aesir have (Mjollnir, for one), came about because of Loki.

i could post the paper online, if you wanted. but i was basically calling huck finn a trickster figure and using three mythological tricksters, mainly loki, for comparison reasons

That's interesting. I don't think I would do a good job doing something like that, but that'd be worth a shot on my next essay. blaugh

Im not sure why I like the real Loki. In movies and cartoons, whenever there's Loki, he usually has family issues. In some of the myths and legends ive read, he cruel but a bit of wimp, always begging and stuff.

Some authors don't like loki, it seems to me, and always make him seem weak and pathetic. Others books seem to portray him more as a professional prankster and really good at bargaining his way out of stuff.

Again... What is it about Loki that makes me melt and go awwww at every corny line in the episode?? xd
Yeah, I'm re-watching. Gods. So... good. *sighs and dissolves into a puddle*
I'm obsessed. *shakes her head* And have been since I first saw this anime. @_@~ Normally I forget animes in a week or so... Or till the next anime pops up. But this one...
It's destined to remain in my favorite classics forever, I think. And I'm glad. 3nodding whee
I want to huggle every single character in the show, now. Including Mayura and Freya. heart

Rock on chocolate dipped! I'm right with ya! heart
@bacon- I am talking about true mythology books. But it's all how you interpretate loki that makes some of the differences in the books.

Ahhh...... So CUTE. xd
I was watching the episode when Freyr was trying to save the Mystery Research Club, and when Loki hopped onto Gullinbrusti's back, and the dear pig obeyed him so willingly and instantly... It popped into my mind that I just BET Gullinbrusti wishes - sometimes, at least - that he has a master that is more... intelligent, than Freyr. xd
EDIT : Ack! I forgot to put the spoiler in white! crying
