IdunaOfAesir IdunaOfAesir Hello, duckies. In terms of getting more promotion for the guild, I was wondering if trading links with other guilds and threads on Gaia might be an idea? I did a quick check of the forums in the guild and noticed there's currently no thread for links to any associates. I know quite a few people who do a lot of link-trading and seem to benefit a lot from it. Jacky! If you're interested in this, and if the guild thinks it's a good idea to pursue, I'd talk to Aries about it. I know she's not in the guild, but she loves trading links and would be glad to help out, I'm sure. You know her energy level... A thought to add on to this... We could even turn this into a contest, similar to the Banner Bumping contest that already took place. This time, however, it would be how many link-trades instead of how many bumps. I think it might be a little trickier, though. And we'd have to keep track of who has already been approached about a link trade. Thanks Iduna! Those are all wonderful ideas. I really like the idea of a contest, too. I think Jaimy's account has almost enough gold to do that, if not, I'll donate some. Last time Wolfy did some avvie art for the winner, do you think you might be willing to do a pic for the 1st place winner this time? (Feel free to say no, I know you're busy!) I'll get in touch with Aries and report back here! If anyone has any other ideas or concerns to add to what Iduna proposed, please post 'em. 3nodding

Iduna, great idea about the trading links. : ) Kudos to Jacky for considering to make it a contest!
And of course I'd offer my skills for a prize, I'd donate some gold to Jaimy as well but I'm at a measly 2k now. xD;; Why must the most appealing things be so expensive?
Sorry it's taking so long Ronny, I'm currently finishing up some art that was requested.... 8 months ago? DDDx *pathetic procrastinator* I'll get started on yours as soon as I finish.

Another new contest idea... This is taken directly from the "Friends of English Magic Guild" that Aeliara (my alter ego) is a crew member of. Take a look and see if you think it would be good. Also, what does everyone think of a Contest subforum? Quote: SPONSOR-A-MEMBER CONTEST Ok, so, a lot of members in the FOEM make one or none posts and are never seen again. Also, because it's the summertime, no one is posting. To solve this problem, I'm starting this contest. I also, sort of, have another Idea... Some other guilds I've looked at have "members of th month" I think that would be fun... but I'm not exactly sure how that would work... sweatdrop

Maybe another way to raise awareness to Jacky fans, would be to make avatar arena entries for the main characters (i.e. jacky, jaimy, Higgins,etc.) or in the artwork arean (pictures of Jacky's scrimshaw, etc.) or in the house arena (jacky's cabin, a tavern where she performed, etc.) that way we could interest people in it, and amybe raise money 2?

Both of those sound like awesome ideas! I love it! Is the housing arena still free to entre? If we want to do the avvie thing, maybe we can turn it into a contest or something and whoever comes up with the best ones can be funded from Jaimy's account or something. Does someone want to be in charge of this?
Member of the month! Hurrah, I love it! Does anyone want to be in charge of keeping track of the member list and update the number of posts every month?
