Hehe my books have taken over my room. I have a wall and a bookshelf full and I also have random piles of books around my room, a box full under my bed and half my underwear draw is taken up by my books. Sometimes I think about throwing some away but I can't seem to make myself actually do it

When my family moved from Italy to here [Ohio], we had to sell a bunch of our books... :[ A ton of them were sold, but I still have little cracks in my heart from it... crying
It's hard to let go of books.

I've been to two wakes in the past month. That's more than in the previous ten years. It's made me revisit reflections on mortality, and the value of life.

Reading the past topics of the weekly questions.. and I guess it's kinda related to one of them, but not directly, so I didn't feel I should really try to squeeze it into the question leaving everyone all "wtf, where'd she pull that from?" So I'm posting it here, in the seldom used chat thread! Most appropriate place, I think. I'm feeling too shy to make my own topic.. (and I'm super tired, so I'm rambling, to my idea!)
Can you communicate with your pets?
I figure many people talk with their pets and other animals.. but I mean, having it returned, the communication..
For me, I'm really connected to my cat. Somehow it's become like we're sometimes one of the same mind. There aren't actually words communicated, but more thoughts and concepts. I honestly think I'm sounding crazy, but it's truly how I feel.. am I alone?

This is the first Halloween where I actually bought a costume instead of throwing stuff I already own together. I got a Ren gown that I'll also be able to wear to Ren Faires. I'll be drinking with friends before we go trick-or-treating.
