Ascella looked blankly at the teacher....She couldn't say anything, for fear of getting her mouth covered in goop. She dug around the puddle of goop, finding the wand she had dropped. She wiped off her mouth as much as she could, taking a deep gasp of breath. She didn't mind cleaning it up, or her gum being gone. She did mind being covered in goop in front of kale.
She said something, at a low volume rather fast in French. She wiped off her wand with her robe. She removed her robe, seeing her sort of clean skirt and uniform top. She threw the cloak on the table, not caring if it got in the goo.
She held her wand at the correct spot.
"Liquidius Evenasco."
She said, as all of her potion vanished, including what on her coat and in the cauldron. That spell was the only thing that came to mind for herself. She was now clean, though she ran her fingers through her hair to make sure.

Kale was now stirring the potion in easy, constant circles. He waited impatiently as the liquid began to foam slightly. The froth came thicker and more as he pushed the spoon to a faster pace. Just as the enitre cauldron was overwhelmed with the tooth-paste looking substance, Kale heard a rush of activity behind him.

Swinging his body lithely, Kale watched as a gunk covered Cella. He scruntched his nose in disgust.

'Poor Cella,' he thought and drew out his wand to clean off the ugliness that now coated her. But he didn't have the chance. Before his wand swished through the air, the mess had evaporated. Kale smiled charmingly at the nicely cleaned slytherin before turning to look for the professor. His cauldron was ready to be Guinness-ized.

The moment his wandering eyes caught Kani, Kale sighed. Bracing himself, he headed towards her.

"Listen Kanita," Kale began, "How about you come watch my potion with me? It's about to go through the very phase that you missed witnessing." Then he abruptly turned on his heel.

Orchidia came in, a bit late, she was aware, but she arrived, followed by her brother. She went to a station as he went in another direction. She studied the instructions, silently. This was the lesson for a first year? Well she'd try it. She begins to pull out her things, and sets it on a table.

After setting up her scales, cauldron, and flasks, she gets out her knife and then studies the ingredients list. She pulls out her peppermint, she had that... Spiders eyes, check... Water of course she kept flasks of distilled tap water with her at all times. Never know what it'll be good for, clean like that. Tasty too. She sets those ingredients down, then ponders the rest. She'd need to get the ginger, the acromantula blood, and the cungranexactator out of the ingredients closet. She made a slight face at that last, she'd hated when her dad played with it.

She goes to the closet, and gets out the ingredients, then re-reads the instructions, so she'd know where to start. Right. She pours the water into her cauldron, and sets it to boil.

Darius, meanwhile, moves towards Kale and murmurs "Is there room for another over here? Got distracted in a discussion with the midget." He jerks his head at his sister, and waits.

Lady Concetta came and added the Guinness to Lorako's potion as well. More and more students were finishing up, this was good.

Next was Kale, her house quidditch captain was once again proving himself to be a social butterfly. Popularity at least was a quality that could carry him somewhere. She came and pored the beer into his potion for him.

Kale flashed Cella a smirk as she efficiently finished her assignment and left. He wished that he could do the same, for their dim commonroom seemed increasingly welcoming. Especially towards his forming headache. For no matter how much Kale enjoyed potion brewing, the fumes always got to him.

With an almost defeated sounding sigh, Kale brushed a strand of hair off his eyelashes and turned his attention towards Darius.

"Of course there's room for you mate. I'm almost done here," Kale arched one of his eyebrows as the corner of his lip twitched in an almost smile, "Way to show up." He couldn't help but add sarcastically.

Then he caught sight of his professor adding one of the last ingrediences into his mixture and, keeping his manners in mind, showed his gratitude."Thank you Lady Concetta. "

With in the split moments it took Kale to turn back to his potion, the appearance changed to a golden sheen of transparency. With quick hands, he removed the cauldron from it's source of heat and shifted to face Lady Concetta again. As it cooled, Kale took the spare moments to converse with the potion's professor.

He hesitated a bit, for the question held more importance to him than he let on, "Did you always know you were going to become a Professor, Lady Concetta?"

As the last words slipped out, Kale turned his attention to Kani, who was heading their way. He put up a pretense of being distracted but keep his attention mostly on Lady C. And partially on his potion's temperature..

Orchidia chopped her peppermint into strips as the water boils, then grates her ginger into the two piles, making sure they're as equal as she can manage. She then begins to add her peppermint, sniffing the air as she concentrates. When the smell gets strong, she scoops a pile of ginger into it, grinning. Observing the potion for a color change, she chops up her cungranexactator, making sure they're the right size.

Darius arches a brow at Kale. "Sisters. What can I say." Is all he said, before getting to work on setting up the ingredients. Putting his water in the cauldron, he starts it boiling as he gathers the ingredients, and prepares them, with the practiced ease of some one who'd been taking the class long enough to get an idea of how long water takes to boil. He then begins adding ingredients, grinning.

Orchidia adds the spider eyes, but, in a hurry, adds a little too many and doesn't notice. The eyes fizz and pop, and a third of her liquid splashes out. "Oh NO!" She wails, unsure what to do, now that it was messed up.

Darius sighs and adds his peppermint, then his ginger, before goes over to his sister, helping her clean up, then says "First try often is a mess... ask the teacher for advice." He then gets back in time to add his Spider's eyes. He steps back, letting it fizz and release the gases, before grinning, adding his cungranexactator. He does it slowly and carefully, then, when it's ready, he casts a stirring charm on his potion. He sits back, to relax until it was time for the next step.

Orchidia sighs and thanks her brother, then raises her hand to get the teacher's attention.
