Lorkhan let out a displeased snort & was shot a beastly glare from the little vixie. The tiny creature fluttered up onto Matta's shoulder, so that he could better watch his mistress in her current state. Setara winced as she was held, trying hard to keep her vision steady & her mind in the waking world. She was still very limp, many of her muscles were unable to register due to shock. If ever the nomad looked pathetic, it was now.
Lorkhan followed, keeping to one side of Matta so that the young man could lean on him if need be.
"You shouldn't be carrying me..." Setara managed to mumble through her hazy state.
"You're legs-" Setara was cut off from saying what she had intended by a violent coughing fit, blood showing at the side of her mouth.

"Nevermind my leg. Let's get you back to my shop." But as soon as he turned to go back to his shop with his injured friend, the Local Guard was blocking his way.

"Excuse me sirs, she needs medical attention..." Matta started.

"We need to know what started this fight. Regardless of who started it, you and this... nomad were involved." There was obvious disdain in his voice when he pointed out Setara. "Come with us without any resistance please."

And without really waiting for an answer, one of the guards, snatched up the little vixie that hovered around Setara's face and snapped him shut into a cage he'd found among the shambles of the street. A couple other guards had grabbed Lorkhan by the reins, though were smarter than the nomad guards and stayed away from the hoofs.

"But she's seriously injured!" to which he got a rather unconcerned look back. He forgot that not everyone cared for the loss of a life, especially a nomads. He thought to resist, but he already felt weak and a little dizzy. His leg was bleeding more than it should have been. He only had to assume it was not bleeding at a dangerous level as he could not look down at it without putting Setara down. The guards prodded them along, leading them toward Ryalla castle.

Lorkhan did not struggle, for he knew that it would mean worse things for his mistress if he did. The lumbering equidyne went quietly, casting worried glances back at his mistress every so often when the guards' grip on his reins loosened. The olive pelted vixie was making an agry humming sound, one that Setara knew well from the wild vixies at the hunt. Though his humming had an edge to it, a rather sinister edge that suggested were he big enough, the vixie would tear his captors to bits.
Setara was barely able to register what was going on & struggled hard against the shock of being hit so hard on her face. She managed to overcome much of her dizzyness & winced again, looking about her. She felt dread settle in her stomach.
Matta......I...think I can walk now..." Setara mumbled quietly, looking down at the floor below, but hiding her face in Matta's shirt when the movement below her, however slow, forced her dizzyness to resurface. Setara uttered a quiet curse, aimed at herself.

"Please don't struggle..." he whispered softly to her. It was bad enough that he wasn't able to treat her properly but he was more worried that her injuries might worsen with strain.

He reluctantly followed the guards to the Castle. The stopped first to shove Lorkhan into one of the stables, hanging the vixie cage up on a hook in the same stall. The shut the stable's door, making sure it was secured, then continued on their way. But instead f entering into the main part of castle, the guards lead them through a heavy wooden door that went down a several spiraling stair cases. When they'd finally reached the bottom, Matta let his eyes adjust to the dim torch light. the walls floor and everything was a cold stone. The floor was covered with a bit of hay to soften it. This was a long narrow corridor with several heavy wooden doors. Each wooden door had a small grated window toward the top of it. They walked past several of these until the guards finally stopped and opened on, gesturing for Matta to enter with Setara.

"You're imprisoning us for getting attacked?" He stared at the guards who didn't answer but shoved him from behind through the door. Matta stumbled in, barely holding onto Setara. The heavy wooden door slammed shut behind them and the sound of an iron key twisting the lock shut sounded with a clang.

"Your case will be reviewed in the morning when Gustav and the Princesses return." One of the guards said, and then their heavy footstep lead away and back up the stairs until there was silence.

Matta looked around the cell. It was a small rectangular room made entirely of stone and wood. The only light they received was from the dim torch light that came from the small window in the door. there was a wooden bench which lined one of the walls and a small hole dug in the floor for was matta could only assume was for nature's business. The floor was covered in clean hay in a much thicker quantity than what was on the floor in the hall. Surprizingly, the prison was well upkept. No smells, no mold.

"Well, we're here..." He lay Setara down on the bench gently. Then toppled back onto his rump on the floor. His own dizziness over came him for a moment and he let out a great sigh.

Setara was unable to get angry in her current state but rolled onto one side & tried to force herself into a seated poisition, managing only to lean on her elbow. The young nomad winced & looked down at Matta, guilt choking out every thing else. Setara floped down again onto her side, finding that her arm ached uncontrolably & allowed her dim green eyes to adjust to the meagre light. She blinked a few times before wincing. She raised a hand to clean the blood from the side of her mouth & managed to stifle a cry when she realised that she was trying to use her broken arm.
"This is my fault Matta....if the city guards had not seen me, you wouldn't be involved." She muttered almost inaudibly. She thought at once or lorkhan & the vixie & sat bolt upright, uttering a cry that again, she managed to stifle mostly. She sat up against the wall & looked down at Matta. She felt awful for him despite herself.

"Its not your fault, Setara. Its the that they can't see past what organization a person belongs to" He put his head in his hand, trying to still the dizziness that was trying to overtake him.

"Besides, if I had never attacked your tribesmen this never would have happened. I'm concerned many other things beside being stuck in a stone prison for the night. I'm worried for you..." He looked up at her pleadingly. She didn't even consider the danger she would be in when the sun set.

"...and your family." He finished off, looking down at his leg. The blood was glistening in the dim light. It was bleeding worse than he thought, but at least it was not a fatal wound by any means. He pulled off the half cloak he'd been wearing that day, and tore a strip from it. He tied off the wounds in a way that should at least slow the bleeding. Sufficiently pleased that his own wounds wouldn't bother him any further he moved next to the bench and knelt beside it.

"Do you remember where you got hit?" His eyes were adjusting, but this was no light to try and heal someone by.

Setara looked at him, her eyes half glazed over with partial shock & confusion.
"I dont know exactly.....but I can hazard a guess." The nomad winced & looked upwards at the cieling.
"It''s getting dark...." She whispered. Setara knew that matta was going to change, despite how much of a dolt she often thought she was. She looked about, realising that there was nowhere to hide & breathed out a sigh. She decided not to think about it. If Matta turned, he turned & there would be no way out of it. Instead, she thought of her family & how at least, she had been able to do what Nomi had asked of her & been a good girl for her mother all these years. She knew her father was not proud of her & never would be, but it mattered not to her any longer. Setara watched Matta.

"I know night is coming..." He put his arms on the bench then laid his head on his arms looking at Setara. He didn't know what he was going to do. He normally would have guess that he'd try to attack her once he changed. But he kept thinking of how he started to react just the night before. He stared into her red hair for a moment then satback up.

"Since night is coming, I need to act fast. Please do your best to point me toward injuries. I can't see well enough to do it myself." And now he waited for her guidance.

Setara sat up, the pain caused by her injuries evident in her face. She put her feet down onto the cold stone floor & started to point out her various injuries. One gash on the left side of her head, another on her leg where an unused weapon had caught her & a small but deep wound on her left side that was surrounded by heavy bruising. The only clean injury out of them all. Overall Setara was not harmed overly, but winded & shocked from strateigicly placed blows.
"I think thats all....." Setara said, her tone urgent, but weak given her current state.
"Other than that I cannot be sure...I cant feel pain all that well yet..." She added, as she thought it would be of use. The nomad waited for Matta to administer what care he could afore darkness set in.

Matta looked over the various wounds with a bit of despair. He couldn't even properly clean the wounds without water. The best he could do was treat them as he had is own. Hopefully that would stop them from bleeding and prevent any else from getting in them. He tore strips out of the remainder of the cloak, working slowly to wrap up her wounds. He started with the first on on her leg. The dim light made it slow work. He wanted to make sure to treat the wounds the best he could, even though he was extremely limited.

"Please let me know if you do feel pain from any other areas... or if any of my treatment starts to make them hurt more." He started on theone on her waist using a little of the cloth to try and wipe away some of the blood that was beginning to cake there. The bruising worried him...

Setara winced & nodded. She hurt all over, but the main epicentres of pain had been bound & were beggining to throb as the bleeding was restrained.
"I think everything that is of convcern has been dealt with." She took in a sharp breath as the makeshift bandage pressed up against the bruising on her side. It was bearable & there was nothing she could do about it now regardless of how much pain she felt. She glanced down at Matta's legs & noted that he had already bandaged himself.
"I'll be alright so long as I stay still & dont move...." Setara mumbled, half to herself & half to Matta as she teetered on the edge of semi consciouness.

((ugh. apparently this window was just sitting upen all day. Thought I hit 'send'))

He watched her reactions with concern. There was not a single doubt in his mind that she needed real medical attention, and the sooner the better. But according to the guard they wouldn't even be seen until morning. Meanwhile there were a few things pressing on him. First, the immediate danger to Setara. Secondly, her family's well-being. He was sure they were being questioned - if not worse - by now. But... Would Setara even have a home to go back to?

Setara watched Matta carefully, trying at least to make an assumption as to what he was thinking about given his expression. Setara at that moment in time was more concerned that her family were being harmed in her place & wanted desperately, more than anything in fact, to go home to the tribe & commit herself to any punishment that they could muster. Awful implications entered her mind & lingered, forcing guilt to mount in her chest. She closed her eyes & winced as the wound on her side twinged painfully for no apparent reason, hoping that dawn would come swiftly & that perhaps she would be alive to see it. If her family was dead....what then? She pushed the thought away & shuddered at the whole concept, making herself feel ill. Setara knew better than to let herself get into such a state & calmed to the best of her ability.

((thats alright ^^ I needed to ponder a decent response))

Time seemed to be standing still. At least that's how Matta always felt without being able to watch the sky to tell the time of day. He knew by now night was drawing close. He could almost picture the sky starting to fade to crimson.

"I'm sure your family is alright." He said in an attempt to comfort her. She looked to be in pain, but the mental anguish shown more than just a physical discomfort. He began to rub the back of his neck as it had become a nervous habit of his, except this time he felt the blood from the earlier blow matted into his hair. He wished they'd at least given them water. He wondered if they even planned to feed them at all.

Setara looked at Matta & managed a smile, though it was clearly weak & affected by her earlier blow to the head. She nodded & let her head rest against the wall behind her, trying to put misearble thoughts out of mind. Setara reasoned that Matta could read her well enough to twig on what she was worrying over & decided to make herself a little less obvious to avoid unecessary discomfort. Her matters were something that she need not inflict on him at such a time.
"I can hope so Matta...." She began, trying to sound as cheerful as possible
"My family have been nothing but loyal to the tribe...ultimately it would make no sense for them to be punished..." Setara reasoned aloud, though questioning King Malak's inability to take that sort of thing into consideration.
