I barged right in to this guild without invitation. Oh, the shame. I would never have been able to get away with such behaviour in Jane Austen's time...
Erm, anyway. My name is Camilla, although most people pronounce my name as Camille. Go figure. Despite Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights being two of my all-time favourite books (the former especially), I would pick Austen over the Brontes any day. My favourite Austen novel is Sense and Sensibility (although Pride and Prejudice would have to be a close second) and my least favourite is Persuasion (but I am sure it will grow on me).
And the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice is superb. If I ever need something to do for 6 hours, I put it on, grab a block of chocolate and relax.
I'm also vice-captain of the official Muse guild, and a member of the Radiohead guild.
And I am looking forward to participating in the discussions on this guild.

I'm here because I just love the TWO Austen novels I've read already (considering my recent attention span, this is a total accomplishment) I used to be able to read so much but I think college has made me numb to reading novels and the like, though reading Jane's work really makes me happy. I've only read Mansfield Park and Pride and Prejudice though I should be working on the rest very soon.
Mr. Darcy has made me have higher expectation in men and really not judge someone without getting the whole story. Ahhhh.... I even joined this group on Xanga for people who obsess about Austen Men hahaha whee

Welcome, Fira! If you like Mansfield Park, it's a safe bet you'd like the rest of her books! Pride and Prejudice is one of the best though!
