today i watched edward scissorhands and i must say that the film disappointed me a bit..
at least after watching panic room yesterday i was expecting more of this tim burton film..
but altogether.. i missed some.. action.. out.. and somehow i had the feeling of already knowing what was going to happen..
plus i have a bit of a problem with that background story of edward. and missing out some information about how he is dealing with his life.
and lol, what does the guy actually do when he has to go to the bathroom? no one ever told that.. even though he was eating and drinking.. but i didnt have the impression that he would have been capable of getting out of that suit..

oh well but i think it is a nice tale and nice for children to watch but nothing for me... razz

Edward Scissorhands is one of my fave movies ever. Perhaps it's just b/c I love fairy tales, even sad.

Indeed. I can't say that I've seen the movie recently (as in within a 5 year radius sweatdrop ) but I remember it being a sort of strange and mystical movie. But that's probably me being a kid. I guess I just have to watch it again to understand baberlababs. I've yet to have watched a movie by Tim Burton that's disappointed me. Except The Corpse Bride. But I think that's because everyone expected it to be another The Nightmare Before Christmas.

As a movie on its own, without any background expectations, The Corpse Bride really was a good movie. But i'm not sure if this discussion fits in THIS genre. Heheh.

doesnt really matter...i think it has a bit of fantasy in it..
but animation might be better since it is stop motion...
i suggest we continue the discussion there...i would like to respond to it aswell xp
