Rubai Sora PandaSgt_7th_Division cartoonXlover xp Nothing is capable of bashing me Rubai Sora. ^^ My ego is too big. xD I'm shocked what my post started though. I thought that was just a good basic on how females gain favorite characters. They find the character cute, they appear frequently and they become a fave that will eventually end up in a steamy slash fic. rofl Well when it comes down to it, it all depends on the person, if they like cute characters then yes they will choose them, but if they have like a certain trait, or are just plain cool, then they will choose them, even if they kinda look wierd, like Kenpachi from Bleach, hes a giant, scarred, muscular, cyclops with crazy hair, and yet hes one popular character. biggrin *nods* Right.
Back to my Yu-Gi-Oh example... I heard a rummor long time ago that Kaiba was actually supose to be a one time villan at one point. Makes sense since they only brought up Duel Monsters only when Kaiba was invovled in the first seven volumes. This is way back when both Kaiba brothers wanted to kill little Yuugi and his friends. But, due to his popularity, he and his brother became part of the cast. Of course, this is just a rummor. Nya....lol thats kinda funny, if kaiba was meant to be one of those pushover bad guys

I mean, just look at season zero, manga version. Not even Bakura played Duel Monsters there, but a table top RPG. Nya....

Nya....i hurt to watch that piece of crap burning_eyes xp *laughs* It was kinda worth it since I think they do show Yami Bakura's chest when he shows off the Ring. It has been awhile since I've actually read it... (Confession time! I've only seen one full episode of Season Zero, and that was the one where they had one of my favorite villians, Hirutani. Had to watch it since it was about Jonouchi's gang days.)
You know, even when Shadii was introduced, there was nothing said about Duel Monsters. Then again, he was almost as much of a homocidal maniac as Yami was.... And that's saying something. Nya....

The Kaiba brothers are out to kill Yuugi-tachi, Jonouchi was in a gang, Anzu was really obsessed with Yami that she put herself at risk (why couldn't her gondala blow up?), and anyone dealing with Egypt was a deranged homicidal maniac (meaning Shadii, Yami, and Yami Bakura). I think Yami really did kill a guy... It was chapter 4, Jailbreak. The guy went up in flames because he hit Anzu or something like that.... Nya~

Plus it comes in handy when people say the series is just about a children's card game that not many little kids tend to be the best at.
Even Duel Monsters is watered down here in America. No more guns, knives, daggers, or any other things that could cause harm and/or death. Also, Harpy Lady was editied in the anime, but everywere else is the same as it was in Japan. Same goes for that female hero Judai has. The cards were altered from what it looked like in Japan. The list goes on. Nya....

I'm usually a fan of the more short lived under appreciated characters.
