Kale was now near enough to the arguing pair so that he could clearly make out every word of their banter. Though he did love a good fight, he would not have anyone from his own house getting out of hand. He pondered patiently about how to proceed with this, stalling for time before he stepped in, so that he might get to glimps a bit more of the scene. ' Val and Romilda' The names jumped to his attention as he matched it with their faces.

"Nothing too fancy really, we just went out to London a couple of times to visit some of family friends." She threw away her used napkin after cleaning off what she could, balling it up and tossing it with one arm into the bin.
"Lauretta's been good, though she has been nagging me a bit to brush up on my potions though."

Autumn fiddled with her bow absentmindedly as she walked down the crowded aisle of festivities. Her and Sebastian attended festivals whenever they come their way, more so when they were small children then recent. They had spent late nights together, wearing masks, playing tricks on festival goers, winning games out of stock. With all these memories filling her head, it gave Autumn a sharp p***k in her chest to be attending a festival for the first time without him.
All of these thoughs and more completely vanished from her mind as she heard a loud crash at one of the nearby vendor stands. She made her way over to the area of the crash out of sheer curiosity, and fortuntely it led her Kairi, Zola, and someone else she didn't know quite well. She ran over to the table anyway and dropped into the vacant seat.
"Hey guys!" She screamed, pushing down her frilly red skirt as she sat.

All of a sudden, another friend dropped down onto the bench.
With a blast of red poof and a loud and friendly yell, Autumn made her presence noticed.
"Hey! Whats up! Glad you're here!," Kairi beamed.

"Oh, I wish we could visit my Grandmum. But, Papa says she's too ill." Lorelei frowned as she threw her napkin away. "I wish I could see her, though." She sighed depressingly, but after a moment she was back to smiling.
"Papa has been nagging me as well. But not on just potions. Says I should be studying my Astronomy and Arithmancy -_-" She shook her head and shrugged. "He just doesn't understand that I DON'T get it."

Autumn smiled from ear to ear at the warm welcome recieved by her classmate. She couldn't be perfectly sure how exactly Kairi felt about her at the moment, considering she never showed up at the Leaky Cauldron or owled her any message stating so. She figured the best approach was to just plain out apologise.
"Zola! How've you been? I haven't seen you since term ended," she started. "How's your summer been going?" Autumn and Zola were friends, but not entirely close. Their shared house and year brought them together more than anything else.
Autumn turned to Kairi and foced a nervous smile. "Sorry for not showing up the other day at the Leaky Cauldron. It's just, Chris, who I work with, called in with a nasty case of Dragon Pox, so I had to cover him. I tried to owl you, but I realized I never got your adress and Dahlia is just terrible with finding people she doesn't know. I hope you can understand."

"Haha, numbers aren't exactly on our side."
Alcyone was about to say something to cheer her friend up, knowing how much she cherished her family. But she decided to just smile in response and go along with changing the subject.
"well at least we get to change them by this year. I'm definitely going for Care of Magical Creature as my option. Hagrid even said he'd bring the Hipogriffs back again; and the nifflers after winter break too."

Kairi smiled as she heard the nervous apology being given to her.
"Its alright. Not many of the others showed up either. Normally that sort of thing would really annoying me... but some other people from school came along and kept me company," Kairi added quickly at the nervous look on Autumn was giving her.
Kairi put a reassuring smile on her pale face and put her hand into her bag.
"Here," Kairi pulled out a chocolate frog she won at one of the game booths.
She handed it to Autumn and then stood up.
"I'll be back in a second, I'm really thirsty."
Kairi looked around then suddenly started walking towards a small blue booth selling water, her long red hair trailing behind her.

As Kairi came back with a bottle of water, a bottle with a colorful wrapper bearing the words Pixie Water: The Best You Can Conjure Up!, she sat down.
"Here," Kairi had quickly scribbled down her address on a scrap piece of paper in her small hand writing.
She handed it to Autumn.

Kani danced in twirling, graceful circles as she let the festival music flow through her. She was beaming with energy and delight. The multicolored lights flickered in the sky and reflected in her mocca eyes.
She waved goodbye to the boys she just meet. Not knowing any of their names didn't bother her in the slightest. She was waiting in line for the dragoncoaster and bumped into the prank pulling group. Before she knew it, she was joining them on the rides and games. But now that she spotted afew friends from across the pickled poprocks and edible bubbles stand, Kani didn't know how she could have been side tracked. She did, after all, started off in search of a familiar face.
Still light on her feet, she promenaded over to the outlandishly decorated bench. There, sitting on right infront of her was lovely Autumn. Another girl sat on her otherside, and yet another stood facing away from her. From behind Kani thought...'Riri?' but couldn't quite be sure.
Instead she snuck up behind Autumn and covered her eyes.
"Guess who?!" came her airy voice in a sing song manner.

Autumn beamed at Kairi for the news of her approval. She opened up the cardboard case of the chocolate frog and devoured it before it could hop away. "Thank you, Kai!" She leaned over and squeezed her friend, then hurred back to take a look at what card she had obtained.
"Hm...let's see who I've got here.." she thought audibly. "Oi! It's Harry Pot--" Autumn voice was cut short by the sudden darkness that clouded her vision. Her ears became flooded with the familiar voice of her best friend. "Kani!" She squealed. Not even bothering to turn around and look, Autumn leaned backwards to stare face to face with her companion, hair dangling towards the ground.

"Autumn! Ding ding ding, you win!" Kani's face light with delight at her friends flawless recognition of herself. She giggled at her friend's upturned face and swooped the card out of her hands.
"Let's see what you have here...OH MY! It's Harry naked! This one is a rare." She tried to keep her facial expression serious but couldn't manage. Busting out laughing till tears clouded her vision, Kani handed back the card. A fully clothed Harry Potter card.

Autumn jumped as Kani swiped her new frog card. At her recognition of the card, Autumn blushed. "K-Kani, you liar!" she stammered, flustered. "Gimme it!" As her friend handed her the card, and she immediately stuffed it into her bag. Gaining back her self control, she scooted over to make room.
"So, how long have you been here?" Autumn inquired. She was surpised that they hadn't bumped into eachother earlier. For whatever unknown reason, the two seemed to attract like magnets.

Smiling at Autumn's cute blush, she decided to cease with her friendly gibing.
"Heh, it's the funniest thing! When I got here I ran into some guys. They were fun..in an entertaining immature way, but I was estatic when I spotted you." She slipped into the small space the bench provided her and, though squished in tight, was quite comfortable. It was always wierd how Kani almost sensed when her dear friend was near, but the sixth sense was welcomed.
"And how about yourself? Tell me you tried the cotton candy! the flavors are explosive."

A look of curiosity spread over Autumn's face. "Met some guys, eh? I trust you behaved yourself?" She wasn't serious, of course. Autumn always liked to tease Kani when it came to boys. Then again, she liked to tease her about everything. She casually flowed along with the subject.
"Kani, you found the cotton candy? I've been looking all over for it! ...explosive? I hope you don't mean that literally." She laughed and gave her a little nudge on the shoulder. "Care to go get some?" Autumn turned to her other two classmates, who seemed to be watching patiently as the two girls chatted. "We'll only be a few minutes. Wait for us here." Autumn stood up and extended her hand to Kani.
