(We're still sharing a computer. 3nodding )
Senna held to Seth as he attempted to stand up. She could sense how frustrated he might be from when Siff took him into the tent. Senna knew how much that cat meant to him and also how frustrated he seemed even when she first joined around William Siff.
"True, he could have a cold... and Siff, you can't go out in the rain?"
Siff smirked and tapped Bobby's shoulder, standing up.
"Come acrobat, let us sit by Senna and your good friend Seth. Seems he is itching to come sit by us anyway."
By command, Bobby stood up, eager to step away from the ringmaster. He hurried for Senna and took a seat on the other side of her from Seth without speaking a word to either of them. He kept his head turned towards a vacant corner of the tent.
Senna wrapped her other arm around Bobby after he sat down next to her keeping both the kids closer to her.
Siff walked over and sat across from the three of them. He put his hands together and merely watched as if observing how they reacted to his presence and nothing more.
"Huck, After it rains I wish you to move your tent to a different ground, rather than by the Gypsy's caravan."
"You seem rather bossy, you didn't help hitch up the tent or tell him otherwise before hand...."
Senna stated in defense of Huck's decision of where to place his tent, just before the ensuing rain storm.
By this point Bobby's attention was on Senna, and he stared at her with a rather gawking expression. Siff was not going to like the way she spoke.

Huck looked at Siff defiantly. "An' I wish for YOU to kiss my a**, but we can't always get what we want, can we?" Huck growled.
It was starting to get rather clear that despite being unaware of Siff's curse, he sure as s**t didn't like the sonofabitch at all. It was also clear that the only way Siff was going to get Huck to move was to relocate this tent himself. Despite being one to do anything for his friends, he was NOT going to let some big-shot Ringmaster use HIM for a doormat.

Maybe Bobby had looked at Senna with concern, but the expression he gave Huck was one of absolute horror. He shrunk closer to Senna, as if he were trying to be as small as possible.

"Well... That is a rather odd wish American, but as for me. I always get what I want. Not that any of you would know hard work when you saw it, to get to where I am."
Siff smirked and took off his hat setting it down to his side. He was well aware that his presense was upsetting Bobby, how he shrunk in fear. Made siff only want to stay longer but by the way the rest acted, they seemed to have no respect for the man who owned the deed to their souls. Who controlled their fate. He contemplated letting them know about their fates, but decided it best to leave them in the dark. The more they rack up on the disobedience before they know the worse their pain can be for later. He wanted to really cause some damage now, more than he ever had in the last 150 years. Especially seeing he had nearly every creature now known to man in his carnival, latest he'd gotten was a true Angel.
"Um, I never saw you really work... except pulling your magic tricks Will."
Senna remarked holding to Bobby and Seth. Seth was rather quiet and she was sorta worried by the way Bobby was shrinking in almost fear of Siff. Almost as if he knew more than any of them about the man who's only purpose in this tent right now seemed to be to intimidate everyone.
As Senna spoke, Bobby tugged at her arm a bit in an attempt to get her to stop. He shook his head a bit as he did so in a silent "no, don't say that-"

Siff may have thought he owned Huck's Soul, but the young hillbilly's spirit was not only intact, but still in spades. He had realized why they were so worried. Seemed like this guy was the resident bully, which made Huck angrier. He was about to go for his knife, but instead in a blur grabbed Will by the coat and pulled him up 'til they were eye to eye.
"You need to leave these kids alone. NOW. Now you gonna leave or am I gonna have to send ya by air mail?" he asked, staring Siff down, his eyes shooting metaphorical daggers into Siff's very being. "I already died near three times in my life, boy. You don't ********' scare me a goddamn bit." he growled. His southern drawl seemed to accentuate the rage the Kentucky native had against the man.

Bobby whimpered and hid his face by turning towards Senna. "Oh God Oh God..."
"And I suppose most of you wouldn't recognize real magic if you saw it either. That's fine, if true magic doesn't scare you then that's your problem isn't it?"
Siff simply stared coldly at Huck unfazed by being picked up and held at eye level to the American Knife thrower. He snapped his fingers and suddenly appeared by the door, the rain still continued except where he stood the doors open.
"I'll see you later Knife Thrower and Scarlet Angel."
With that he disappeared into the darkness of the storm.
"Real Magic? That's impossible... Sure there are tricks, but nothing is ever real magic."
Senna looked down to Bobby, was he afraid of the "Real Magic" Siff seemed to have? She thought to herself if that was what it was. Will was really good at keeping his tricks, but he was going to run out at some time right? There's just some things that you can't fake or pull an illusion over.

"Hmph! Damn coward has t' vanish t' hide th' fact he's a yeller-bellied b*****d." Huck growled as he sucked on a toothpick. Of course, the way he was standing, the scar 'round his neck was in plain view of the others. It looked like a rope-burn around his neck. The look in his eyes screamed "So help me God if I see him again . . . !"

"Huck, he is intimidating these kids with his illusions... what are we going- Huck, you're scars? You have scars-"
She could only assume they were from practicing his knife throwing... but assuming never got anyone places so she is glad she asked, rather than assume. And hopefully, now that she thought about it, he wouldn't be offended that she asked. Hopefully he wouldn't think her too nosy or rude. "Stupid, should have asked him if he minded telling me about them... stupid Senna-" She thought. She gently rubbed Bobby's shoulder to comfort him.

"Damn bully like him oughta get taken down a peg." Huck growled but was surprised that Senna found out he had a rope mark. His memory flung him back to when that scar was just something about to spell his doom. He smirked a little bit.
"I ain't 'ffended, Senna. I just had some hard luck . . . almost wound up on th' wrong end of a rope. Actually . . . I did." he said, the look of a veteran talking about a war past. How he was on the verge of starving to death and was caught in the middle of a feud between two families up in Tennessee. How they found him having to take a chicken just to SURVIVE another day and left him to die hanging from a tree. If the limb didn't break and caused him to fall, he would have been a dead man.
He sat there thinking, using his Bowie knife and a fork from an MRE kit he had to kinda poke at the commodity meat he had in the can. In truth he hated the stuff, but between that and raw venison meat, it was the next best thing.

Seth said nothing as this ordeal continued. He stared lifelessly at the floor listening to every word. He was a bit surprised that Huck stood up Siff without getting hurt but how long would that last? He was probably the next in line be injured or die a horrible fate. He got so lost in thought that he was falling back into unconsciousness. He was still weak and sitting there in soaking wet clothes didn't help at all. Within minutes he was out cold.

Senna didn't think that people still were being hung. Or maybe it was just an American thing to still do that. She wasn't sure but she looked at Huck.
"You were hung? What ever for, if you don't mind me asking."
She still kept her arms around the boys trying to keep them warm despite the fact they were still both soaking wet from chasing that kitten outside. Senna almost started feeling a motherly instinct to protect them while she was there, the more and more that she spent time with the kids.
Bobby kept his face hidden, and occassionally let his developing cold be known with sniffles and light sneezes. As Senna and Huck talked, he slowly turned to see for himself with what they were speaking.

Huck paused in thought. "Can barely remember t' save my life. One day I was walkin' in th' woods, mindin' my own. Tried to get some lunch and ran right int' a pair of feudin' families. I can barely remember how I got int' that situation t' begin with." he said. Of course, his body language showed he was a little less than comfortable talking about getting hung. Especially around the kids.

"So they assumed you were one of the family members and they hung you? That's, that's just plain horrible. I didn't think such things still happened.... things like hanging. Must be an American thing right?"
Senna looked almost upset that she'd asked, sorry for what had happened to him. But then she shook it off thinking, "He's still here, he's there with them, so it means that he survived." At least there was that thought.
"Is there anyone who's come to this carnival without a saddening past? Or without having faced such tragedies?"

"I wouldn't say it's ALL of an American thang, just was in th' bad place at th' wrong time, y'know?" he asked with a smile. After all, he managed to survive the world he was in for so long. Yet he somehow didn't seem very defeated about things at all.
"Life ain't a tragedy, Senna. After all, when th' branch broke I managed t' get away safely. That an' . . ." he paused, chuckling a little bit. "Makes a great story."

"I didn't mean it like that..."
Senna could just about face palm when she put it in those contexts. She looked up to Huck after glancing away for a moment.
"I guess it does, although I'm not sure my life story makes that good of a /story/ to listen to."
