I laughed taken slightly off guard by Shane's reaction, I had never seen that side of him, but stopped short when the pain abruptly returned. Quickly, I took another sip from the vial to numb the pain and as soon as it touched my lips I felt better. Maybe blood was the antidote to the pain...who knows. "And I would never do that to you Alex, you should know that."

"Just lock me up in a dog cage. It's for your own good." I sighed. I really didn't want to tell them. I really didn't want to hurt them. My name meant leader,even though I wasn't a leader, I had to act like one. "Just. Do. It." I demanded.

"Goddamnit Alex! I'll do it if you give me a reason!" Shane said, turning to face her again, "Untill then, your just going to have to deal with being free to roam!" Although he managed to keep his face calm, his voice was warning that he wasn't exactly in a bargaining mood. He turned away again, "Sorry." he mumbled, his voice was a lot calmer now.

All of sudden things clicked in my head, "It's a vampire thing, she's going to go wild. Almost as if rabid, but worse." I looked into her eyes, "You can't keep that kind of stuff from me, if anything, I'm the one to help you."

Shane didn't look at Alex and mumbled, just loud enough for the two vampires to hear, "You could've just said that."

I rolled my eyes. I didn't feel like saying it, so I thought it hoping Shane would hear it. Tomorrow is the day I turned into a vampire. I have a horrible demon side of me that has made people that I thought where my friends leave me. I hurt or kill people... anyone or anything that I see. I can't break through metal bars. I opened my phone, acting casual. The only people that where on my list where: May, My old best friend, Jackie. I smiled. She texted me.
Jackie Says: Hey! I wanted to wish u luck tomorrow. Oh, and Africa's great!
Alex says: Oh, thanks.I'm glad u like Africa.
Jackie Says: Oh, I didn't mean 2 bring u down!
Alex says: It's fine, I'm just trying 2 convince this guy 2 lock me in a cage so I don't hurt anyone. Id want anythin to happen.
Jackie Says: Is he cute? Do U lke him?
Alex says: As a friend, I think he's fine.
I put my phone away. I didn't want to be to rude.

"Thankfully." Shane mumbled in responce to May's cheerful comment. He looked at Savy, seemingly calming down even more at the sight of someone he felt comfortable with. Not that he wasn't comforable with Alex and May, it was just that he wanted to calm down before he looked at them. This was a sad sideffect of having an evil mother. You can get mad so very easily. Though Shane was usually very good at keeping himself impassive or calm. "How close are we to your house?"

"WEll, it sums it all intoone ball of wax don't cha think?! but we're not going to leave you because of that, we all have our bad sides. Heck, I just heard Shane cuss and now you want us to protect yo from yourself. It's understandable" I countered, but not getting too worked up. Can't to do that. We were reaching the outskirts of town, maybe "just a few more stops"..
