Niah whimpered. She tried to open her eyes and cried, "Great! Now I'm blind because of you!" she felt the air moving extremely fast and she was so scared. It was even worse not knowing when she would hit. At anytime she could go SPLAT and have no idea her death was only mometns aways. "I hate you all!" she screamed. "I will haunt you. I don't know how...but I will!"

Suddenly the air seemed to stagnate, and her descent slowed, but in a very gentle manner as if the sky had caught her on a cloud. Then her eyesight came back, and she was drifting downward on her back, eyes pointed to the endless blue. Barely a hundred feet up anymore, the ground quickly approached but without threat or fear of harm accompanying it. On either side of her, some feet out, both Idalla and Calcryx floated at equal pace with her, eyes closed and entirely relaxed the whole way down.

Nailah suddenly felt light as a feather. She floated slowly down heading towards the ground. But strangely the fear was gone. She was calm and collected the terror of only mometns ago had faded. She refused to say anything but simply floated slowly towards the ground. She finally touched the ground and felt the blades of grass in her hands as she landed on her back. Immediately she sprang up on her knees and blinked rapidly. She felt very lightheaded and then she fell forward her body going limp and her mind reentering the blackness that had always claimed her before.

"We may have pushed her to hard."Idalla said, scratching her head and looking over the sprawled body of Nailah with a small sense of guilt. "She passed out.
"Nonsense, she handled it bravely. During the slowdown she stopped screaming. Maybe next time she wont be so afraid." "She stopped screaming because she passed out you idiot!" Idalla shouted, acompanying a slap to the back of his snowy hair. "OWW! No she didnt! Look at how she landed. She got up after we touched down, THEN she passed out." "Hmmm... cant argue with that but still. Anyhow, we cant just leave her here." "Agreed, lets get her up and down to her room." "What? you just want to help so you can snoop about a young girl's room." "Oh please, youre the one we cant trust in anyone's bedroom."
Over the short senseless bickering, they both carried her inside and left her on her comfortable matress, Calcryx dragging Idalla out of the room forcibly as she tried to snoop into Niah's possesions.

Sitting on the edge of the hotspring, Nelphean relaxed and felt the warmth of the spring. His gear was neatly pilled nearby, and his bandages were tightened.

A cold sweat and a desperate gasp for air were Idalla's renewed signs of life as she sat upright in her bed, eyes wide in fright. The familiar taste that still vaguely remained in her mouth nearly made her vomit, covering her mouth and hunching over in disgust. Stirring from her bed slowly, she hugged the journal on her night stand to her and reached for a set of clothes from the randomly strewn pile. Fully clothed, she stepped out of her room after clearing the sight of fear and exhaustion from herself, off to cause mischeif as always.

Niah screamed and sat up in bed. She looked around and realized she was in Alex's room. "I'm alive." she said to herself. Rasui was curled up in a ball at her feet and Alex was sleeping soundly beside her. She reached over and brushed the hair out of his eyes then climbed out of bed and went to take a shower. The warm water cascaded down over her easing her tense muscles and finally making her feel just right. She sighed with pleasure and rubbed the scented oils into her skin after drying off. Then she walked over to the closet she shared with Alex and opened it. Biting her lip she looked at hte only other outfit she had right now...the black dress. It had a lower neckline than she normally wore but there really wasn't any alternative. She pulled the dress out adn slipped the soft silk over her head and pulled up the straps. Then she brushed her hair in some semblance of neatness and opened the door. Her stomach was growling so she made her way to the kitchen.

Nelphean re-adonred his attire, and slowly re-equiped himself. Twenty daggers, two dirks, a throwing knife, three rapiers and a scabbord, his quiver and his crossbow, his bag of tricks and his spell pouch.
"I really need to find a new hat." His last one, a wide-brimed black hat with and over sized plume was eated by a behir. He felt hungry, so he started to wonder his way to the kitchen. Monolith followed him, sharing his eyes with the master.

Stumbling out of the kitchen, Calcryx finished an apple, a poor choice by his standards but he felt like eating something less than perfect. So distracted while chewing up the remnants of its core, he nearly smashed face first into Nailah but stopped and did a small hop-backstep to put a proper distance between them so as to avoid further risk of collision. "Morning Nialah. Sleep well?"

Niah raised an eyebrow at him. "Did I sleep well? No I was haunted by nightmares of falling from hundreds of feet in the air." She stopped. "Oh wait. They weren't nightmares. It really happened." She shook her head. "I shouldn't even talk to you...I'm still upset about last night." She saw Nelphean and smiled at him. "Good morning Nelphean. How are you this wonderful day?"

Laughing, Nelphean walked towards the voice of Nailah, his eyes wrapped by white cloth, and his hands as well. "Good morning, Monolith tells me that the sky is wonderfully blue today." He smiled, sensing the tension in the unappropreatly dressed Nailah's form.
"My nose is twitching, is someone shy today?"

"Bah, it wasnt ALL bad and you know it. Im never.... well rarely... wrong about these things." He said, pulling another apple from within his sleeve and taking a rather large bite out of it. "Oh hello elf." Not always polite, but still meaning well, Calcryx glanced between the both of them and smiled as he ate. "Yes, anymore searing flesh and horrible pains to speak of? Maybe some prophetic visions?" Sizing up Nelphean's current garments, he inhaled through his teeth and shook his head a bit. "Hurt your eyes?"

"Well I have to admit the being thrown about like I'm some kind of toy was not fun but the end wasn't bad. I just wish you had done it sooner. It was very peaceful to drift slowly to the ground though. Unfortunately my system was in too much shock and I couldn't handle it very well. Everything was too fast. I swear I almost had a heart attack up there at one point." She looked at Nelphean and said "The sky is a beautiful blue and the sun is shining. Now I'm starving so I'm going to get something to eat. I see you've already been Calcryx. Care to join me Nelphean and Monolith?" Niah was glad Calcryx had asked the question. She wanted to but wasn't sure if she should or not. She looked at Nelphean and waited for his answer.

His head turned towards the sage, "The sword that some water nymph gave me causes my spirit to burn. And I dont' think my dreams are prophetic so-much as memories of my homeland..." He paused.
"Burning mansions, great demi-liches, pit-fiends seeking return to the material plane, vampires reserecting at my touch, phyers and ghouls, ghosts and goblyns... Pretty much just the daily life of an adventuring bard... Well, along with all those horrid witch hunts and elf hunts, and the headless rider on the twisting road... And the chain guards.. .the war elephants..." Nelphean stops rambling.
"There is a god because I escaped that horrid place."
"Food sounds very good right now, but I have this small problem where I can't open my eyes... Monolith doesn't eat."

"No no, Im quite full. Things'd be a bit different in my natural form, but this saves on food bills. Nel, to be honest, I havent seen so much fun as you just described in centuries. Things are always to slow in this world, but im not so stupid as to go fiddling with planar boundries. If anyone needs me, Im going to be in the courtyard, trying to figure out how to hook up a portal." Waving farewell beind him, Calcryx paced off down the hall, swallowing the rest of his second apple whole.
