Eclipse chuckled slightly at Enoch's action , but decided to go the way of the feathered snake. The spoon didn't look promising, drinking did. He raised the bowl from the table but blew on his first...he didn't want to end up like Enoch. He sipped it carefully, still new to the whole drinking of it thing. He had to admit, food was already making him feel better. "not bad Niah..."

"Hm, the door matters not, the invisible symbol is what is important." After finishing the last of her soup, she licked the last of the thick broth from her spoon then dropped it into the bowl. She watched as Enoch burned his throat and smothered laughter, now only waiting for Eclipse to let some slip and spill on him. "Niah, it sounds like I should be surprised you did not somehow burn the soup, and did it take very long to master spoons?"

"Well..." Niah hesitated and blushed. "I've never been very domestic. I can't...cook. At all. I've burned eggs. Yes. Eggs." She looked down at her soup once again. "I can reheat things. And I can apparentely make pretty good chicken noodle soup but anything else and you're seriously pushing your luck. I was always a failure at those domestic things. Should have seen me in Egypt. Oh it was horrible..." she trailed off and looked around at the others.

"Oh, yes. A woman back in Egypt who was not domestic? That would be fun. Not many people in this manor can cook, or boast of it anyway." The cat woman stood and put her dishes in the sink, then turned and leaned on the counter watching the boys in the quiet. Longingly staring at her empty glass, she picked that up and went back to the bar of never ending booze. "Does anyone else want some spirit of a different kind while I am over here?"

Enoch was doing everything in his power not to cry out in pain, but that was one very hot soup. "Ayyy, Chihuhua." he screamed as he rose quickly from his chair. He could not help but smile, he was proud that this was going to be his last memerioes of life, spendind a carefree moment amongst friends. "I am thankful for all the things that you have done. for me and my masters." he said with a powerful bow. "If I may be so bold I must now take my leave, I will not be here in the morning, i must go on a journay to go back and find my master." he said as he made his way slowly out of the kitchen, "Look for a present from me on the table, considered my dying present." he said as he dissapeared into Elias's old room. "I thank you in the name of my master, for he shall never return here alive." he sighed.

((I have to go, ladies I need to report to work at five in the morning. I will finish this tommorow, I hope to see you there and as always it was an honor and a pleasure))

"Hey any cooked food is better than eating rats and the like. Believe me, Aurahkah and I both know the taste and loathe it. Rather eat sand..." Finishing off his soup he stood and placed his bowl in the sink and put his spoon away since it went unused. "You know I do feel a lot better." Fluffing his wings slightly he turned to face them all. "Despite the fun...I need to recoup my engery...food will help but I should also stay still. The moment it peaks again...I'm back up. Gotta get this down." He started to stride from the kitchen then stopped and looked back to Bastet. "You are not to tell Aurahkah about me being like this. She is not to know at all." He looked at both Bastet and Niah, a serious expression gracing his features. Then he simply turned away and walked from them all.

((...burned out!.... crying ))

Niah looked at Bastet. "I would love some wine." She watched Enoch stand and walk towards the door. "I wish you luck in your endeavours Enoch. Hopefully all will come out right in the end. Then she looked at Bastet. "Were you domestic in Egypt? I know most of the women were and I always felt like a failure because of it."

She tilted her head as she watch them both go. One saying he will never return alive and the other swearing her to secrecy. She poured herself something and then swirled it around, just staring at it. Small pupiled cat eyes closed with the mumbled phrase, "May the pheonix guide your journey both too and from, for there must be a return." Feeling more deeply moved by things than usual, she looked at Nailah, "Hehe, no. I was only required to be when Rashidi and I went into hiding for a small amount of time, and then I was horrible at it. Too fumbly with the old cat tendencies. I can also sympathize with how hard it is walking on two legs, but that does not mean I will make it easier." Grinning at this, she then got the puzzled look on her face, "And why am I not allowed to tell Aura?"

Niah shook her head at Bastet's comment about walking on two legs. She closed her eyes for a moment and sent a few thoughts about Enoch and his journey into the deepest parts of her soul. She really hoped he came out alright. And as Bastet had said the journey would be a return as well. It was inevitable really. She looked at Bastet and saw her confusion. Taking a deep breath she said carefully, "Aura forbade Clippy from doing it. She was going through a time when she didn't trust humans and Clip doesn't want to hurt her. It's a very sentimental thing to him. A touchy subject. I thought it wise to give my promise so I did. I don't want to see Aura hurt either." she walked over to the bar and poured herself a glass of wine. Sipping it she looked at the cat woman who was one of her best friends. "Will you give your promise as well? It would mean so much to him."

"Oh, sorry, I guess I dazed out a moment, I was supposed to give you wine." Shaking her head at her own absentmindedness, she put her drink down, "I will make my promise to him, but she is around humans all the time now, well some of the residents are mostly human anyway... Would she not be over it? Besides, she is getting married, and Eclipse is hot like that, why keep away eye candy? Remember I am just questioning, I still said I would promise."

Niah chewed her lip for a moment and then held up the wine she had gotten for herself. "I took care of it but thank you. In answer to your question I'm sure Aura is probably over it but like I said it's important to Clip. And ooh but he is HOT!" Niah licked her lips and sighed. "Too bad such a man does not truly exist...." She contemplated that thought for a moment and then reminded herself she was taken. The rest of Bastet's sentence. "I still can't believe he had the audacity to just take her and go get married!" Niah began grumbling once again. She really needed to stop that. She was almost completely over it but a little more ranting and raving couldn't hurt.

"Upset are you Niah? Does it irk you that much?" She watched her cautiously a moment, remembering the last time, and made sure that the bar was between them. Then, still eyeing Nailah, she drunk a little more. "Frankly, I do not care much, weddings are a lot of work. And you can not exactly call someone to a place like this to take care of it, so we would have been stuck with it." Shrugging, she displayed her nonchalant attitude of the situation.

Niah sighed once again. "YES!" She glared mutinously into her wineglass. Bastet was right. The wedding would have been a lot of work. But it was important and Niah was looking forward to it. Well when she reallly thought about it no she wasn't. But she wasn't about to let Bastet know that. "Dammit I bet Aura went along with it just to irritate me too. Damn them all..."

Rolling her eyes, she brought them around to look at her friend once more, "Oh yes, I am sure that is exactly what Vincent was thinking when he whisked her away. He was just thinking about how much it would piss you off Niah." She chuckled lightly at her friend.

"Of course he was the b*****d. He would do anything to piss me off. It really pisses me off!" She glared at the wall. "Those damn watchers. Think they can do whatever the hell they want and damn the consequences. Well I won't stand for it!" She slammed her hand down on the table for effect.
