He rolled his eyes. "Oh no no no, I'm not feeding anybody or anything. I may have my own thumbs now, but it doesn't say slave on my back. Nope." He walked over to the table, setting Rasui on it's surface next to the plate of fish that Niah had gotten out. "I'm sure you're capable of feeding yourself Rasui, dig in." Giving a snort he looked again to Niah. "Oh don't be silly Niah. Of course there will still be many opportunities to fetch me things. As soon as I master this walking and the like, it's back to being a wolf. This form is only going to be used when needed. I made a promise and I intend to keep it."

"No thank you, I'm fine. I don't eat in this form...it's uncomfortable to chew."He paused for a moment. "I came into this world a wolf I intend to stay so. I made a promise to Coban when he taught me to do this, that it would be that way. Besides...I feel as if I stay this way, I'll be betraying you all...especially Aurahkah. It's...a complex thing to explain." He sat down at the table, being careful of wings and tail and propped an elbow on the table, dropping his chin into his palm, eyes shifting over to stare out the window. "It makes perfect sense and then none at all, all at the same time. I'm sure you'll never truly know what I mean. But...it's just what I've decided. And I'm a wolf of my word."

He shrugged. "She's fine. I haven't checked in on her lately. And actually, we struck a deal for a while. We both 'keep to ourselves' for the time being. I'm enjoying it somewhat. Hey I get the bed all to myself. And that's always a plus." Turning his eyes back to her he blinked a few times. "Don't treat me different Niah." She may of not realized it, but she was. Since when had he ever minded when others at in front of him and he didn't join in. This was one of those things he was afraid of.

"Harder for me than it is for you, believe me. I've been on both sides of the fence." One ear dropping in lazy fashion he slacked his wings some and sighed. "Watchers. You know, it figures that out of all the people she had to choose from, she would pick a Watcher over a human. I asked her about it, the response I got was rather a tear jerker if I say so myself." He rolled his shoulders back and fluffed his wings, letting his tail lazily swish. "Just don't think about it Niah. Stare at the ears if it helps." So saying he gave a characteristic snort through his nose.

He laughed. "That really has you up in arms, doesn't it Niah?" he laughed again, once more fluffing his wings, his ears perking up some. "I'm sure she'll fill you in on all the details. And if not I'm sure, as you put it, beat Vincent about the head and shoulders with a stick severely for the answers you so desperately seek." He shook his head. "And snorting is just what I do. Though...I hope I don't snort when I laugh like this, that would just be embarrassing."

One, two, three.... ten, twelve, nineteen... twenty seven. That was the number of books in the stack that Calcryx had randomly selected in the library, and was already done with. By now, he felt light headed and stood up, pulling his arms over his head and leaning back until he heard a loud 'pop' to signal that his vertibrates had aligned themselves once more. Repeating the short gesture with each joint in his arms and neck, he stepped slowly out of the recesses of the library. Wandering towards the kitchen with his dirty plates hovering in tow, he pushed lazily through the door while rubbing his eyes as if it would eliminate the exhaustion of reading for so long. "Oh hi folks..." He said, not exactly sure who he was talking to, but saying it as if he knew them.

Niah nodded. "I've chucked quite a few books in Aura's library. Somehow I don't think she'd be too happy if she knew..." She took another sip of wine and looked at the man who had entered the kitchen. "Hello...my name is Nailah. I don't think we've met before...welcome to the manor?" Nailah tilted her head and looked at the stranger. She wondered who he was and when he had come.
