SaintBastard I would like to point out that keeping the other members of the team alive or casting support magic is not considered an attack, and you get a lot less XP. Remember kids, that 1d4 dagger or 1d6 quarterstaff that never hits anything was given to you for a reason, use it.

you know, the QotW is not only true, but it's also good advice.
I say, make your mages fighters first, and spell casters second, that way they can be in a party without always having to cower behind a useful party member, and still they could whip out the occational surprising and often amusing spell.
like... polymorph other or... uh... fireball.... or... um... dazzle... i don't know any other spells....
ENTANGLE!
not that it matters, magic is SO fake.

I also think that spellcasters should have some fighter training, so that the mages don't have to worry as much about dragging around a bunch of unskilled meat-shields to take hits for them while they're busy actually winning the fight.

Guns don't kill people. Columns of pure fire falling from the sky consuming all around them kill people.

Agean Archmage Why is it called Godiva ice cream? Because ice cream is like really good sex... which is like being naked... while riding a horse.

Well, the spontaneous combustion and disembowelment by phantasmal specters of raw energy of my alli- I mean, the enemy, tends to really screw up their moral, if only for the rest of the day.

Phil Srobeighn Who is this person in your quote and why do they think sex is like riding a horse naked or is that how they have sex!?! eek Well, it's because the ice cream was named after a Lady who rode naked through the streets of her village to make her husband stop oppressing the peasants that lived there. This story is also where the term "Peeping Tom" came from. 3nodding And well.. I mean if you haven't had Godiva ice cream then you're completely out of the loop on the sex bit. rolleyes Oh yes, and that was something my roommate Alex said. 3nodding
