Ana's eyes fluttered and opened slowly as she felt Mieke kiss her forehead. It took her a moment to focus and then she smiled up at her niece. "Hey...hun..." She murmured sleepily. "It...worked..."

"Good... I was hoping it would..." She whispered, trying not to wake Angel. Really, she didn't want to wake Ana, either. So, she kissed her forehead again, smiling. "However, you should get some more rest. Say, I can't stay, I just came back to get my stuff and check up on you. So... go back to sleep, and you can call me later... okay?"

Ana nodded sleepily and smiled. " 'K..." was all she said before drifting back to sleep.
Mieke stood up and looked down at her aunt and shook her head affectionately. "And you say I thrive on getting myself in trouble." She gently brushed a stray hair off of Ana's forehead before turning and leaving the apartment.
Ana turned over in her sleep, once more seeking the comfort of being close to Angel. Snuggling up against him, she put her arm around him and held him close.

Ana rolled over in her sleep, trying to take the pressure off of her shoulder, which had begun to throb again.

Angel slowly woke and sat up. How long had he been out. What had happened. He slowly looked over. There was Ana. They must have did it. Must have won. Something caught his eye. A scar. A nasty one at that. She didn't have that before. Who did this HE'D KILL THEM! "Ana?" He spoke softly not wanting to wake her.

Ana stretched and winced a bit at the pain in her shoulder. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Angel looking down at her. "Angel! You're awake!" She tried to sit up but quickly laid back down again. She was still pretty woozy from her attempt to Heal Sanctum and from the morphine the nurse had given her. She reached out and gently touched Angel's face. "Are you alright? What happened?"

ananda082001 Ana stretched and winced a bit at the pain in her shoulder. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Angel looking down at her. "Angel! You're awake!" She tried to sit up but quickly laid back down again. She was still pretty woozy from her attempt to Heal Sanctum and from the morphine the nurse had given her. She reached out and gently touched Angel's face. "Are you alright? What happened?" "It's a long story. First, what happened to you." he sighed a bit. He wasn't looking forward to telling the whole story.

Angelofdeath895 "It's a long story. First, what happened to you." he sighed a bit. He wasn't looking forward to telling the whole story. "Me? Oh, you mean my shoulder?" Her hand went to lightly touch the wound. "I woke up sometime after you came back and found Sanctum passed out on the floor. He had a horrible wound in his shoulder, he was bleeding to death. So I tried to Heal him. But...something was wrong." Her voice got softer. "Instead of Healing him, I only made it worse. The pain just kept getting worse and worse, but I couldn't stop trying to take it. And the more I tried to Heal him, the worse he got." She shuddered. "It was horrible. I thought I was gong to kill him. I...had to use a lighter and a spoon and cauterize his wound before he bled to death." She blinked back a few tears. "I managed to break the connection before too much damage was done. Normally when I Heal, the wounds I take heal almost instantly, but this time...I think breaking the connection without completing the Healing kept this," she lightly touched the wound again. "From healing completely." She gave a small, uncertain smile. "I hope you don't mind your women with scars."

In return for the power, he can't be healed by any means other than letting nature take it's course. Not even taking medicine." She frowned slightly as the rest of what Angel had said sunk in. "Survived? Angel....what happened?" She tried to keep the fear out of her voice.

He stopped and shook his head. Ana blinked at Angel as his meaning sunk in. "Kyrai's....gone? No! He can't....he..." She shook her head in denial. Kyrai couldn't be gone. He had saved her from Alexander. Had called her family. She felt a tightening in her chest as tears flooded her eyes. "No....."

He stopped and shook his head. Ana blinked at Angel as his meaning sunk in. "Kyrai's....gone? No! He can't....he..." She shook her head in denial. Kyrai couldn't be gone. He had saved her from Alexander. Had called her family. She felt a tightening in her chest as tears flooded her eyes. "No....." "I'm sorry. He gave his life for everyone here. He did what he had to. " he sighed a bit. "I'm proud of him." He had continue to keep turned away. It was horrible to think of him gone, but his sacrifice was not in vain.
