Khenu smiled and phased to a far corner of the room, then next to the doorway and finally back to his chair where he just happened to fall out of it as it had wobbled when he phased into it.

He stood up off the floor smiling. "For the most part I guess." Placing his hands on his hips, splaying his feet and puffing out his chest he smiled at Bastet. "Before you know it I'll be master of it!" He then laughed nervously. "Then comes the whole controlling the electricity part..."

Nodding at Pheaura's suggestion, Saradin moved to the base of the tree. "This is sufficiently out of the way, at least his grave won't be trampled." The steel shovel tip sank into the soil, just clear of any roots. "I hope he rests well here."

((I'll take control for ya Phea...er just this once, hope ya like how I do it.))

Aura had watched as Saradin had finished the hole and as Pheaura had placed her friend in his grave, standing there silently Pheaura paid her last respects to the creature she loved so much. The bird buried, Pheaura had plucked another of her feathers, kissing it before placing it on Quain's grave, which had been respectfully marked with his name as well. Pheaura had then nodded at the grave, wishing her friend a safe journey through the afterlife always. The young angel then excused herself, making off for her room to spend some time in reflection.

Aura watched the grave for a few moments after Phea had left then looked to Saradin. "I believe he will rest well here just like you said Saradin." saying a soft prayer for the bird in her own tongue she turned, walking slowly back inside.

Eclipse let out a howl for Quain, his way of telling the bird goodbye then stood by Saradin a moment. He would leave when his friend of the shadows did.

Bastet laughed as the boy fell to the ground, and laughed even more at his attempt at manlyness. "That's good, and the lightning is more intense, it shall most liekly be the hardest to control. But I believe you can do it with practice. You hurt yourself last time didn't you?"

Khenu held up his palm that still showed the red mark from where he had shocked himself. "Yeah, it conducted off my rang and well, buzz." He smiled again. "Somebody cover the manor in rubber, Khenu's practicing again!"

Rolling his eyes at himself, he toed the floor with his boot as he looked down at it. "Um Bastet, could, could you be the one to train me. I mean you don't have to if you don't want to, I'm sure you don't want to hang with a kid all day." And along with the bad habit his courage failed him. "In fact you know, think on it, um, I have something I'm working on in my room." He made his way out of the kitchen and to his room, where he continued on the project he had recently started.

While motioning his hand in a cross and mouthing a silent prayer for the departed, several glinting droplets fell from Saradin's eyes. "Goodbye Quain, the rest of us will watch after Pheaura for you now." Giving Eclipse a moment of attention, he spoke. "One lost friend, we all already miss him." Saradin brushed the tears from his eyes and marched back to the house, thinking about how this hadn't been the first and not likely the last funeral procession he had taken part in. After returning the shovel, Saradin met with Aura again in the great hall, taking a seat without saying a word.

Sinking down into a chair, Aura really started reflecting on the situation. Aside from the bloodline that had once owned the manor, no one close to her had passed on. Now Quain. In time everyone would heal, Quain wouldn't be forgotten. She looked to Saradin as he sat then returned her gaze to the floor.

Eclipse trailed into the manor, laying himself on the floor between Saradin and Aura, feeling the need to comfort them both but not possessing the ability to be in the two places at once. Even his wingspan wasn't wide enough to cover the distance to brush feathers against both of them. So he used his mere presence as a comfort tool.

Bastet went near the door of the kitchen to listen. Her ears had picked up bits of the conversation. But now she understood it to be true. Quain was dead, she teared some, wiped at them furiously. Deciding that she shouldn't intrude, she snuck back to her hall and into her room.

Breaking the silence with his voice, Saradin spoke. "Quite the night... but life moves on. Tell me, what do you know of Pheaura's mother? This was my first meeting with her, and I'm not sure how to... " He drifted off sentence, unsure of what to say. It was an awkward subject, and certainly not one that many would care to discuss after the incidents of the night.

"How to act around her?" Aura finished. She sighed, rubbing at her temples. "I've only met her twice. The first being when Phea was growing her wings. She seemed civil enough then. From what I've heard from Ryo she isn't too pleasant even for being an angel and all. Not to mention the whole throwing me on the floor with angelic power outburst...none too pleasant..."

Syrathos felt pain emanating from his daughter, he quickly orbed to the manor. He materialised next to Aura in what seemed to be the Great Hall, closing his eyes he probed the manor for his daughter but to no previal - she had already left. He sighed quietly before turning to Aura "It's been a while..." he said keeping back his tears and anger.

"Quite some time...I take it that you already know of that happenings that have occurred tonight?" She wasn't stupid, Syrathos always seemed to have an edge. When you were an angel such as himself, it was to be expected wasn't it? Either that or he had heard it from Aperiel. They had to run into each other sometime didn't they?

"Indeed, although I suppose that even angels come in all designs. For the time, its best to take it as it comes. I won't trust her if she acts this way continually, but she is an angel and Pheaura's mother... so she deserves some respect." His weight shifted and he rose from his chair, but didn't move from there. "I should get some sleep. It's late. See you tomorrow."

"Yes. Goodnight Saradin." She turned her attention back to Syrathos, waiting fro him to speak as she ran through her own thoughts on everything.

Eclipse took a moment to nuzzle Saradin's arm, giving his hand a lick before his friend left. His goodnight said, he went to Aurahkah, resting his head in her lap.

Syrathos

Blessed Gatekeeper

Syrathos smiled ever so slighty. "Aperiel is a total..." he refrained from using such words at these times. He looked around him and not to his surprise nothing had changed. He stood there silently widening his eyes causing the wind to pick up slight, making his sash and scarf blow in the wind, his wings hummed silently and his minis twitched. A stone hung from his neck, symbolising holyness, it glowed a brilliant white light, and when in full glow could blind, so Syrathos toned it down slightly.
