Owww. D: Yeeah, my sunburn isn't nearly that bad, it's just a bit itchy and peely and sensitive.
But yeah...party-related rants: someone seriously just named their labor day party 'Epidural'. I think it's supposed to be cute or clever, but it's bringing all sorts of strange imagery into my head.
Second rant: PROMOTER DRAMA! So USC has put on these huge parties on Halloween in Seattle called "Freaknight" for the past several years. Last year was supposedly the last one, and they made a big deal about it and everything. So this year some smaller promoters decided they needed to fill in the lack of a Halloween event and did their best to put together something good. After figuring out a date and a venue and booking headliners (many of which already got plane tickets for the event), etc etc, USC suddenly comes back and notices someone creating a new Halloween event and is like "No, we were just kidding, we're actually going to do Freaknight again".
USC has the power to book much larger venues and headliners than the smaller promoters, so basically if they did decide to throw another Freaknight (despite saying they never would again!), the other party would have to be cancelled because it would lose nearly all of its crowd to Freaknight and wouldn't generate nearly enough income to pay for the DJs, venue, etc.
The worst of it is that now USC is being like "Well, we might do it, and we might not" and not giving any definitive answers, which means the smaller Halloween party is on the line, and they don't seem to care because it isn't affecting them directly. It's basically just another story of the big-guy-crushing-the-little-guy. gonk

Seems more or less like they're saying if someone else tries to throw a party they'll have to come out and crush it with their own, if not, then they won't bother. I'm reminded of a dog or a little kid, they only really want something because someone else has it. >_<

It seemed really dirty, but now some people from USC are like "OMG DON'T LISTEN TO HIM HE'S JUST CREATING UNNECESSARY DRAMA, AND HERE'S PROOF" and now I"m all confused and don't know who to believe anymore...so I think I'll leave them to their drama and just hope that *something* good happens on Halloween.

Isn't USC throwing Freak Night now? I decided to head into the NWTekno and venture deep insied of it, and I saw something about it. DJ Swamp is playing Friday, but I told one of my friend's I'd go to his Cabin on Friday

I hate having to scrounge up a ride for somewhere. And in case of an emergency who is going to get me anywhere? Say my boyfriend breaks his leg, do we really want to call an ambulance just for that? I'm all for public transportation and carpooling, but the public transit system here is nearly non-existant and sometimes carpooling just isn't possible.

It's a b***h to learn but it needs to be done. There is no public transporation out where I live unless I want to walk for 30 to 45 minutes to catch a bus... I hate having to bug my parents to drive me everywhere, mostly because they almost always do it for me no questions asked. xD I'm very spoiled...
But like you said, if emergancies come up it would be nice to know that I can transport my parents anywhere if the need comes about.

I need to take the test some time before next summer when my learner's permit runs out. I'm a bit nervous myself. I wasn't kidding when I said my driving was like Sunrize. Slow and soft, and then bam! All over the place. I like the accelerator. 3nodding In fact, my dad's probably going to make me drive a bunch when we go out to the mountains tomorrow.
