Nelphean looked at her and laughed. "Every woman who hits on me so eagerly always is." Nelphean wrapped his other hand, and picked up the sword, this time not feeling the burning...
"I think it knows I am evil." He looked at the sheaved weapon carefully, and read the ancient text.
"This sword is Caliburn." Nelphean puzzled... "Hard lightning?" If you draw me, I will strike you blind "Happy little sword."

Her attempt to look impressive only drooped slowly as she stood staring at him. Finaly, she flared her wings and folded them to her back looking a bit dissapointed. "I swear to you, the one opportunity I get to show off who I am, and NO ONE cares." She ignored the sword as to not give it the pride she had wanted in its place. Rubbing her temples slowly, she just walked back towards the tree line and towards the manor. "Lets just get back there... I should be asleep. Sorry for the decieving, and hitting on, etc. etc."

Nelphean put the sword behind his back, and smiled at the Idalla. "Its not your fault...There's another girl..." Nelphean blushed. "I will keep your secret."

"Oh its no secret really. But the way no one in the manor really seems to spread the word about everyone else, so Im free to act human whenever I meet someone." Her head a little clearer, Idalla draped her wings around her like a think cloak to block out the uncomfortable breeze and let end the skantily clad routine. "I just miss the excitement. It was what kept me going. Then I made a choice, and wound up stuck in a small quiet town for an age. I love it there because of the memories, and I take every opportunity to toss up the tedium... but I still miss a thing or two about my old life."

((Ok, I'll only be here for another 2 hours because "Family Guy" is gonna start then, which is 8 o'clock.)) Vik tossed around in his bed. Visions from his pasts were once again haunting his dreams. A conversation was taking place. It was pitch black, and the voices' owners could not be seen. The first speaker had a deep, hoarse voice and the other was female. "How did the operation go? Did you implant it?" said the female voice. "It went perfectly. He's sleeping soundly right now. How goes his brother?" "Not so good, I'm afraid. He just broke into a fever and he's burning up. I think his body is rejecting the crystal. We should remove it right away!" "No! It stays. The crystal chose Gale Maytron, and we must respect its decision." "But he's too old! His body would not be able to adapt to it. This could kill him!" "It is too late to turn back now. What's done is done. Now give Vik some medical attention, then bring in the Alchemists. "
A giant crash woke Vik up. He bolted up and found that he had knocked over a stack of books on the end table. He looked around and found himself in the familiar library. He reached down and picked up the books. Yup, they were real. He really was home. Home..." he thought, "Is that what this place is." He thought about his real home, Laputa, and all the good and bad memories from that place. Then his thoughts wandered onto his scar, and the fact that he was banished and could no longer set foor within Laputa's borders. He let out a deep sigh. "This place is not home," he said to himself, "But it's all I've got."

"What is an elf to say about that?" He thought of his home and all the horrors surrounding it... "I have yet to reach an age where I have found equal peace. It must be nice." Nelphean watched the scenery's blend...
"I thought it was wierd how there was ancient ruins in a place I have been a thousand times but never noticed..." Pretending to ignorant of the magical path.
"Have you noticed the increase in the number of hostilities in the area of the manor?"
((see you Vik, but not at the manor.. yet))

A small crash brought Calcryx away from his plate, mouth stuck in mid-chew before deciding to swallow the bite whole and look for the source of the clatter. While lazily scratching his cheek, he closed the book hed been perusing and headed deeper into the bookshelves. "Hello. Been studying hard?" Calcryx said bemused as he picked up a few of the fallen books and restacked them. "Be careful or youll end up an old man like me." He said while running his other hand through his short snow white hair.

Vik looked over at the speaker. "I haven't been studying." he said, "They found me passed out at the front door. Whoever brought me inside must have been too lazy to bring me to the infirmary." He looked the man over. He looked pretty trustful. "My name's Vik with a 'k'. And who might you be?"

"Like moths to a flame." Idalla said laughing. "I can see myself smacking around my former kin any day now." Her hangover was beginning to let up with humor, and there was nothing funnier than thinking of how pathetic she must have sounded back there. "The place is just storing to many beacons for evil. The more pure and noble the intent, the eaiser it attracts darkness. I think Calcryx wrote a thesis on it. Also explains why I havent seen hide nor hair of anything so evil in a millenia. The whole demon thing throws off the good I do."

"The good I did was often set aflame by heratic villagers on witch hunts." Nelphean smiled and tilted his head back and forth. "I am a witch, after all." He laughed.
The monr came to sight, and the path back into the forest seemed to slowly dift into eternity. "Well, good lady, I must bid you fare well." Nelphean bowed. "I have many things to attend to, and to little time to spend doing them." Nelphean went invisable. He walked away stomping his feet.

"I would be Caclryx. With a 'C'" Calcryx responded, setting everything straight at last. "Well thats cruel. Not leaving you here... I meant that I thought Id found someone as obsessed as me. So then, what puts that 'Ive been staring at books until I passed out' look on your face then?"

"Nice to meet you Cal! Nice to meet you!" he said, knowing that he would NEVER be able to pronounce his full name. "And what do you mean by 'look'? I've been wandering around for about 2 weeks eating nothing but fruits and bugs, I passed out for another week at the front door, it's a wonder why it took them so long to find me, and here I am now! One week later and lying on a couch. Do you think I had time to study between all that? Unless I could read with my eyes closed, and I don't think that's possible."

"Hmm, well the 'Ive been eating bugs and fruit for two weeks' look is very similar then. It boils down to a vapid stare where you start to lose track of whats happening. Speaking of which, you seem to have a very good grasp of time considering that you were unconcious for such a stretch. Anyhow, you sound like you could use something to eat and drink." With a wave of his hand to an unseen force, two plates and one large mug came floating in, carrying the food he had yet to get to, including his desert.

Vik looked suspiciously at the food. It was tempting, but poison can be also. The man seemed trustful enough, but you can never be too sure. He slowly picked up the mug and sniffed, the wonderful aroma entered his nostrils. He took a small sip and waited. Yup, he was still alive. "Thanks." he said, taking another sip. "It's been quite some time since my last proper meal." He set the mug down and started on his food. "So how long have you been here?"

"I guess about two weeks now. My old bones got dragged here by a friend, and I stayed because well... its interesting. It was nice to see Saradin again and all, but I think I'll take off again in a little bit, cant stick around forever." Pulling one of the plates closer with his small finger, he crept closer to a piece of pie sitting on it. He may have been a bit over zealous as he gave away the remainder of his meal.
