Skylar smiled as he, too began to eat. Before he took his first bite though he had to remind Irene of her necklace. "Don't forget to take off your necklace before you eat Irene or the food would just be wasted."

It smelled so good.

Irene was busy taking it off as she explained. "This necklace is a very powerful one. It was given to the first generation long ago, then given to me as a gift from Dr.Reece. When I wear it I can't feel hunger or thirst. Nor can I feel heat or cold, and it dosen't affect me. I can still get tired or hurt though." Irene put it away somewhere where it wasn't seen. "So it would be pointless to eat if I didn't feel hungry in the first place, or if I wasn't able to taste it."

Irene smiled closing her eyes. "It works for me." Irene picked up some red meat from her plate and took a bite. She laughed a bit in enjoyment. "God, that's delicious. You cook the best steak Tillie."

Mariah sat at the chair Skor pulled for her. She smiled, feeling special. During the conversation of the necklace Mariah remembered Miranda, and when she herself wore it. Given to her by Dr. Reece. It was his wife's. But wasn't there something else to the necklace? "Does the necklace protect you from attacks Irene?" She blurted, not thinking of what she was saying.

Dr. Reece was in shock, looking at Mariah. 'Why would she ask such a question?! Did she...'
Irene was a bit surprised by the question. "Well, no. The necklace only reacts if one is close to death or their chance if survival is slim. It emits a bright light that causes damage to anyone and anything around the wearer. But only if the necklace chose the person. It belonged to Bianca, it worked for her. I only wear it to remember her. It's like a connection to her that I keep." Irene had a reminised smile as she spoke about Bianca. Irene missed her, and Tide. How did things get so out of hand? And if they suceed in their goal, she would lose Skylar too. She'll have no one again.
