Ana smiled weakly at Sanctum. "I couldn't let you keep bleeding all over my floor, now could I?" Her expression became serious. "What happened? I tried to Heal you and...I-I only hurt you m-more." The tears were starting to pool in her eyes again.

"Hey hey... come here..." *He extended his good arm, indicating that she should come in for a hug.* "You didn't know... I'm sorry, I should have told you. I.... I talked to one of the Gods, and he bestowed amazing power on me. In exchange, though, I had to give up being healed by any other method besides natural healing..." *Almost on cue, the morphine completely reversed. It was a drug. A medicine. It intensified the pain instead of dulling it... Sanc screamed out in pain and clutched his shoulder. After this outburst, though, he took a deep breath, keeping his eyes closed tight.* "I...i..it's ok... I'll be alright..." *He looked at the nurse* "Sorry, miss.... no more morphine, please..."

Ana hugged Sanctum. She flinched when he tensed and screamed. "So...we can't do anything for you? At all?" Ana rolled her shoulder uncomfortably. She still hadn't noticed that the wound on her shoulder had never healed completely.

"Nothing but wait... I probably should have thought things through before I agreed to this... I'm gonna head to the lobby..." *He stood shakily and winced, then turned to the door* "If you can find the strength, come visit us, sis."

"s**t!" Ana flinched as the nurse stuck her with the needle. Almost immediately the pain in her shoulder was gone and she didn't even feel it when the nurse began stitching her wound. Wait, wound? She shouldn't have a wound. Whenever she Healed, the wounds she took healed instantly. She remembered the cycle of pain from trying to heal Sanctum and being forced to break the connection early. Perhaps that's what had kept her from healing herself.

She stood to follow Sanctum. Another wave of dizziness swept over her and she looked up at Sanctum blearily. "Sorry big brother. I...don't think..." She trailed off as she the world went dark around the edges. "I'm..going to...bed..." She stumbled towards the bedroom, supporting herself on the wall.

Ana smiled up at Sanctum. "That's...what...sisters..are...for...." She trailed off as her eyes closed and she fell into an exhaustion and drug induced sleep.

In the depths of her sleep Ana sought out the familier, comforting warmth of Angel. She turned onto her side and snuggled against him, curled up like a child.

Finally, Meike's vehicle had made it back. She went straight to Ana's apartment, and into the door. Finding, well, no one around, she sighed, moving to her spilled bag and slowly putting everything back in. Finally getting everything situated, she slowly entered Ana's room. The first thing she saw, before, well, Ana and Angel, was Ana's shoulder. At first she was shocked, but then she remembered the bite wound from those damned zombies. Ana would take the wound from the host. Then she remembered what troubles she put Ana through. That virus was a beast, was it not? Sitting by Ana, she kissed her forhead, and sighed, looking at her wound, slightly petting Ana.
