She touched her flushed cheek,
"Too much sometimes.. aha"

Suzhou's heels clanked over to the desk. She leaned over it towards Kanda, her ruby earrings filpping forward.
"what what what??"

Carver tried to hide his gaze at the two.
Scott's hands moved down lower
"Well...? Why don't we just leave this party early?"
Now it was getting even harder to hide. Carver took another sip--- now a gulp--- of wine in attempt to control himself.

"It looks like....Letters." Kanda replied, picking up at least a dozen envelopes addressed to Evette Bessette from Anthony Carver. "If they're letters from my sensei to yours, why does Tyki have them?"

Evette grabbed his hands and brought them back to a respectable level. "Whoa there Big Boy. Must I remind you that I'm technically working right now? I can't just slip off..." She whispered reasonably into his ears, although making it look like she was telling him something sensual.

Suzhou found more letters and put them on the table.
"They're all from the same year... looks like it's the rest of the year after they broke up.."

Scott smirked,
"But that's boring~"
Finally Carver couldn't handle looking at them. He took his empty wine glass, the hand holding it shaking, and stormed outside, on his way snatching up the entire wine bottle.
"Anthony!!"
Kitty shouted after him but lost him in the crowd.

Without a moments hesitation Kanda ripped opened one of the letters and read the beginning of the letter.
Evette,
I know you're still mad at me but please understand. I can't have you get hurt because of what I'm involved in. What happened that day...It can't ever happen again. Ever. Please, don't think I don't want to be with you because I do. I truly do. I miss you...

Evette tried to feel smug about making Carver jealous but she just felt bad.
"..." She let go of Scott."I..have to go to the restroom! Be right back!"
She quickly ran off before Scott could say anything. Checking over her shoulder, she made her way outside.

Suzhou flinched and opened some more. They spanned for pages and pages per letter, full of heart felt apologies, and even simple casual stories about his current happenings.
'Evette please, if you were to be ever hurt like that again, how could I ever live? How could I ever live with that kind of guilt? I will never be able to give you a safe relationship, something that you desearve'
Suzhou continued through the letters scanning all of these with immense curiosity.
'I'm running out of paper here, and Yuu-kun is getting impatient with me taking time to write these daily. Maybe if you would only write back- just once. Anything, for us. Even if you could send some blank pages, because have so much more I want to tell to you'
She found his last letter and read pieces of it,
'We're packing our belongings right now. We should return from the mountain soon, I hope the high altitudes changes don't hurt Yuu-kun too badly, but if anything he should be even more well. It has been so hard being away from you for a whole year, even harder without any word, am I writing so much for the both of us?'

Suzhou continued shuffling through,
"These had never been open... we're the only ones that have seen these"
She looked at Kanda.
"Why does Tyki have them?? And what's he talking about in the early ones?! And what happened when he and you returned!? Do you remember??? When you returned from this mountain??"
Suzhou talked too quickly

Carver was standing at the beginning of an elaborate garden, with tall greens and roses. The flashing mansion blaring behind him.

"Would you shut up?" Kanda said harshly.
"You think I know the answers to this?"
He shuffled through the letters again.
"All we can be assure is that, during this time Carver was involved with street fighting and I'm guessing Evette was not.Somehow, she was attacked, possibly by a disgruntled fighter who had a vendetta against Carver. He left her because he was scared that she would get hurt again being involved with him. Then he took off to the mountains to train me. But, he didn't stop loving Evette, as noted by the several letters he sent her."
Stacking the letters back neatly, he continued.
"However, the letters were never sent to your sensei for some reason. Instead, they lay in the confounds of Tyki's study room. Tyki Mikk, who is Carver's oldest friend."

Evette stalked silently behind Carver.
She thought about turning back multiple times but something kept pushing her forward to resolve things.
".....Carver?" She called out softly.

(I think Tyki should make his appearance at the party or something soon while they're in his office)
"You sound like a ******** narrator."
Suzhou said. She looked at a date on the top letter again before he stashed them away.
"Actually, I was fighting by this time. I mean, I had just started, but me and Evette were involved. I've actually won my first competition by the time these letters end... I didn't meet you and Carver until you two returned though"
She paused and frowned.
"Maybe we should go"
She stared at where he put the letters.

Carver, his back turned to her, scanned his eyes towards the voice. He didn't turn his head though. He tried to resist speaking, but at last he couldn't refrain himself,
"Did you come to tease me some more?"

"I wasn't sure your mind could process all the information." Kanda replied dryly. "But yeah, you should leave now. Kome will be back soon most likely."

In an almost clock-work fashion, the guests of the ball shuffled together towards the stairway of the large room. Tyki Mikk descended down the stairs, hair as curled and suave as always tucked beneath an elegant top hat, and a suit as black as night complimented by a tucked in ascot in the front.
He greeted those around him, flashing a smile that could deceive anyone.
Loudly and clearly, he addressed the galleria he had set up.
"Welcome to my home, everyone."
The crowds fell silent as they listened intently to is words.
"True to my reputation, I admit I have made a habit of being, fashionably late."
The crowd chuckled. "But I hope that my guests will forgive their hosts and I hope that the fighters here are not, put off." Tyki joked lightly.
"And of course, this is the night for our wonderful Street Fighters. Please use this night to your advantage. I know I'm not the only one who is eagerly anticipating the upcoming rounds." With that, Tyki bowed his head, and ended his announcement.

Evette winced. "Well, Yeah I admit I'm at fault there.." She conceded.
"But," She retaliated, "You're not suppose to even care right? I mean, you left me."

You could slightly hear Tyki's voice.
"Well I think Tyki just made his announcement. Maybe we both should leave. Kome probably found him"
She urged

Kitty and Scott and the rest of the guests applauded Tyki.
"I feel so out of place now.."
Scott admitted.
"Where did our dates go??"
Kitty sighed,
"I don't know... Anthony has been acting so weird."

"Tyki-nii!"
Kome touched his arm,
"Where have you been??"
She laughed

Chou awed,
"Wow!"
She looked around,
"So many people! Too many people...!"
She was more nervous when sponsors started looking her up and down. Her apperance confused her, a small pretty girl, with just an average amount of muscle, and a pink dress-- the fighter with the insane strength? And that flamboyant coach along her side puzzled them even more.

"Not suppose to care??"
He repeated harshly as the rain continued to drizzle. He calmed down his voice quietly,
"Just because I'm the one who ended it, I'm suppose to be just fine..?"

As the two walked down the hallway, Kanda brought up an issue.
"So...what do we do now?"

"Just doing some work- someone has to fed you." He ruffled her hair.
"How's the ball?"

Yamazaki was just as nervous as Chou.
'Why are people staring us down?'
Unconsciously he clutched onto Chou's arm.

It was Evette's turn to glare.
"Oh I apologize, I was under the impression that breaking up with someone meant that you didn't care. My mistake." She said sarcastically.
"The years of sadness and brokenheartedness for me are almost irrelevant compared to you not being 'fine' with me moving on."

Suzhou caught up and walked behind him. She inhaled deeply while looking away. She exhaled forcefully,
"back to the party.."
She said abnormally quietly and pushed past him. She paced down the hall quickly, eager to return.

Kome scoffed and fixed her hair,
"Your fighters are bothering me again... but you do have a nicely mannered one"
She raised her eye brows,
"Kanda Yuu, he's a repeat offender for competition but why did it take until now for me to meet him??"

Chou gasped and clutched back lovingly and a little over excited-ly
"Because we're the rookie star of the show~~~!!"
Grelle lifted his arms in to the hair to boast.

Kanda starred questionably at her and slowly followed her.

"You know I don't like you to get too involved with the Street Fighters." Tyki stated, disapprovingly. He thought for a while. "You made Kanda Yuu's acquaintance? Strange, he normally tries to avoid conversing with anyone."
He paused again. "Remember, you're not allowed to date until you're 30."

Soon they reached the party hall again, and Suzhou had parted from Kanda and cheered up for the sponsors.

She caught Kanda's appareance across the crowd.
"I'm going to invite him to spend dinner with us this week as a thanks for saving me"
Was a statement, not an ask for permission. She waved off to meet Kanda.

It begin to pour harder, anyone left in the garden retreated quickly inside for cover. But they stayed.

Kanda's eyes lingered on Ying's retreating figure when he caught sight of Kome.

He mumbled to himself.

Like a flash of lightning, Evette slapped Carver as hard as she could muster.
"I never slept with Scott!" The rain poured down as the slap resigned in the wind. "If you're implying that I would sleep with someone after the first date then you know me even less than I thought you did."

"Kanda!"
She smiled,
"My brother and I insist that you join us for dinner tomorrow night, as a thank you for handling that jerk for me"

Carver winced but didn't ease up his glare,
"Don't know you??? I know you better than anyone!! I know how much of a manipulative b***h you can be, which doesn't surprise me that you would use Scott like that! And let me tell you, you certainly know how to pick the easy, horny ones"
