Well, this is unexpected. eek .Hellsing.95.zip]Here are the RAWs. They're not as high-quality as they usually are. I suppose the decided to release them early, since this is the final chapter. Hirano's bringing the story full circle with this chapter. He includes a lot of humorous scenes like those he included in the early chapters. In fact, those humorous scenes make up a good portion of the chapter. I can't say I'm particularly happy about that. A few pages would have been fine, but not this many. They make the overall tone of the ending too silly, and I think it could have been happy without being so silly. It's a little too strong a change from the serious tone of the previous chapters. Other than that, it was pretty cool. I especially liked Seras and Heinkel filling the roles of Alucard and Anderson. I can't wait to read the scanslations.

Oh my god, Finally, Yes, I can use these scans to finish my tribute.
(I'm making a very awesome video to commemorate the end of the series, I shall be sharing it with the HSG shortly. 3nodding )
I'd say, enough time has passed for so many LULZ to be occurring, since everything is essentially back to normal. I'm disappointed Heinkel isn't leading Iscariot. rolleyes I got a kick out of the random panty-shot, Thank you Hirano, oh thank you. rolleyes I think I'll happily side with Alucard and say that age has done Integra well, as the eyepatch has. 3nodding
Anyone remember the episode of the OA when they all have the Peter Pan codenames? Seras = Tiger Lily The rest o' Hellsing = Lost Boys Anderson = Hook
...Then Alucard prances off to be Peter, and there's a comment about Integra being Wendy? wink
The ending sort of reminds me of that. Peter finally comes back, and Wendy's grown up.
Although I must agree with you, the note for this whole chapter was a little too.... Epilogue-ish. Like... like... (You guys all have heard it from me before) LIKE THE ENDING OF HARRY POTTER??
OH NOES. xd
The fencing at the start made me squee, though. whee

I'm trying to wonder how Alucard comes back from Oblivion... Suni's right on her suggestion on Heinkel not being lead. Why? Also, I would think Heinkel would be healed by now by some nanotech or something, but that's just me.
Pantyshot in the first part of the series and a pantyshot in the last...very nice twisted
A Hirano-like figure? Who could that be
AluSeras panel was awesome...ThanX Hirano blaugh
Loved the comedic essence toward the end and very much fanservice...I'll have to see how much it actually is when we get the translated scans
oh, and thanQ NLK for bringing us the RAWs 3nodding

Blak_Rabbit I'm trying to wonder how Alucard comes back from Oblivion... From what I understand, Alucard had to rid himself completely of all the other souls he'd consumed over the years in order to recognize himself and thus return himself to normal existence. He tells Integra that it's just him, now. He's still a vampire, but he has just one soul. Blak_Rabbit Suni's right on her suggestion on Heinkel not being lead. Why? Also, I would think Heinkel would be healed by now by some nanotech or something, but that's just me. Assuming that Heinkel's a regenerator, now, it makes perfect sense that she's still scarred. Anderson had a scar on his face, too. Regenerators don't regenerate wounds that were inflicted before they became regenerators. I think they might have used some sort of biotechnology to re-grow or re-attach her limbs simply because they had to. The scars on her face, however, did not need to be healed. They don't hinder her in any way. I'm not sure why she's not the leader of Iscariot. Perhaps it's because she's a regenerator? Or perhaps it's because she's just not leadership material? confused Blak_Rabbit A Hirano-like figure? Who could that be I believe you're referring to Penwood, Jr. He looks just like his father, but he has dark hair. 3nodding Blak_Rabbit Loved the comedic essence toward the end and very much fanservice...I'll have to see how much it actually is when we get the translated scans I liked the humor. It was good for establishing a more light-hearted tone. The Major's "war" is in the past and the world has recovered. However, I still think that there's just too much of it. There was too much crack, especially after the seriousness of the previous chapters. Blak_Rabbit oh, and thanQ NLK for bringing us the RAWs 3nodding No problem. wink

I was a bit irked by all the silly scenes they put in. And the fact that alucard came back after all this time was kinda dumb. I think they should have just had Integra sleeping, and then go to the cube. :/
But I didn't think it was that horrible. No where near as bad as any ending to the Slayers series (I think Gundam Wing has the best ending I've seen for an anime)

I think the silliness brings us back to the first volumes, so I like it. I do have to agree that the silliness doesn't fit in with the previous chapters. I’m glad Alucard’s back, you see! Hirano is scared of the fangirls!! Integra has never looked more like man. The ending is not as good as I would have wanted (maybe because I didn’t want Hellsing to end) but I’m pleased with it. I would have liked more scenes with Seras. To be honest I don't know what to feel about the end of my favourite manga. I'm a bit like this guy: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dgyluQpNjLI

I ******** LOVE THIS CHAPTER.
I'm happy that Alucard finally managed to multiply himself to the fourth power. Although he should've considered simply stopping at the second power. (Ah, I'm such a math nerd.)
Integra does look manly. I swear that page four was probably his first time even drawing old!Integra (like, no rough drafts or anything). But I think she started to look better near the end, after being drawn a few more times.
I loved all the little crack scenes too. Like someone else said, it brings back memories from the very beginning, kind of unifying the manga as a whole that way. Besides that, this takes place 30 years after the previous chapters. The mood wouldn't be the same anyway.
I just loved the way Seras was being very confident and carefree and HILARIOUS. Penwood Jr was cute too.
I'm happiest most about AxI practically becoming canon. (LOL ALUCARD'S A TROPHY WIFE NOW.) Hirano faded out before a potential sex scene though. JERK.

There was a limit to the crack, suppose Mr. Hirano was dying to draw comedy for a while. Soleil de Midi Integra does look manly. I swear that page four was probably his first time even drawing old!Integra (like, no rough drafts or anything). But I think she started to look better near the end, after being drawn a few more times. Oh yes, the only page she is masculine is number four and that is because of the adjust to the change of her design. When she is slumbering, a few pages away, she is absolutely stunning for her age (that anatomy, she kept herself in a wonderful shape!). Her delicate chin and the scruff of her neck is a very seductive touch. The hair falling on her shoulders looks very soft. It's like seeing Alucard again returned to her the lost years. When she smiles and bites her finger -- don't you notice a renew youth and womanly charm? What a touching manner to end the series in their final reunion. I suppose nobody can say "He wants to be released of those MEAN Hellsings" after this. He comes back from the math land to be with a Hellsing. The organization is his home. heart How odd. The New Iscariot leader is called by a Japanese name but he certainly doesn't look from Japan. ETA: Second re-read. Integra neither married or conceived a heir? This isn't like Peter Pan because Wendy moved on while Integra apparently was waiting for "Peter"? Mr. Hirano handed this moment to their shippers on a silver plate. Admittedly, I am surprised.

Well, I haven't read the chapter, as I do not know japanese, so I would not know for sure... but I would say Integra mostly moved on. =/
If the fact that she never married or had a kid comes into play in what you're saying about her 'never moving on' I would say that... Well think about it, has she ever seemed like the type to you? To me she just doesn't show interest...
=/
Ah well, whatever, I won't debate, nope, not in the mood.

MercifulShahrazad There was a limit to the crack, suppose Mr. Hirano was dying to draw comedy for a while. I've heard that Hirano was dissatisfied with how dark Hellsing had become. Even if I thought there was too much crack, I think I can still understand where he's coming from. I mean, in retrospect, we haven't had a crack scene since Volume 6. eek MercifulShahrazad Soleil de Midi Integra does look manly. The New Iscariot leader is called by a Japanese name but he certainly doesn't look from Japan. I've heard that his name basically translated to "Maccabee". The Maccabees were a Jewish national liberation movement founded the a royal dynasty and established Jewish independence in the Land of Israel for about one hundred years, from 164 BCE to 63 BCE. There is no definitive explanation of what the name means. However, one suggestion is that it derives from the Aramaic maqqaba, "the hammer," in recognition of the Maccabees' ferocity in battle. It is also possible that the name Maccabee is an acronym for the Torah verse " Mi chamocha ba'elim YHWH," "Who is like unto thee among the mighty, O Lord!" Just a bunch of trivial infromation. sweatdrop Also, according to Saphire Diablo, Hirano took Iscariot's new leader directly from one of his earlier works, Susume! Seigaku Dennou Kenkyuubu. Those scans are courtesy/property of Saphire Diablo. MercifulShahrazad ETA: Second re-read. Integra neither married or conceived a heir? Suni moon If the fact that she never married or had a kid comes into play in what you're saying about her 'never moving on' I would say that... Well think about it, has she ever seemed like the type to you? To me she just doesn't show interest... If she wasn't interested, then how is it in the dialog Integra persists how old she is and how long he took for his return before giving in and welcome him home? pirate NoLifeKing66 Did anybody notice that Integra bites her ring finger and offers it to Alucard? wink ... I hadn't until you pointed it out just now. So they are... "married"? That would explain why they share titles. Hirano had it foreshadowed two volumes since. NoLifeKing66 I've heard that his name basically translated to "Maccabee". His name is still written with Kanji which is only employed for Japanese names. NoLifeKing66 Also, according to Saphire Diablo, Hirano took Iscariot's new leader directly from one of his earlier works, Susume! Seigaku Dennou Kenkyuubu. Saphire Diablo told me so. biggrin I read this page and reminded me of the Tv series in the part Seras reassured Integra about Alucard's victory. Everything played out with a lot of similitudes don't you think? It's understandable why Integra neither married nor had a child with Seras' insistence Alucard would return.
