Suddenly, a small bolt of lightning shot out of Vik's back, repelling Bastet and any others that were stanging too near. Three more bolts of lightning shot out of his back, striking random places around him. After a few seconds, they stopped. The air had a faint electrical smell but nothing was damaged.
((Ultima Citadel-Dark Scar Base of Operations. I'm assuming that you've read my return post.)) Sharu shadow-walked into Lord Ultima's Royal Chamber. He walked up to his throne and bowed. Lord Ultima had his back to him, but he was fully aware that he was there. "Report!" "Vik Maytron has been found. We would have found him earlier but there were a few errors." "And the agents?" "They're prepared and awaiting dispatch. Any changes in orders?" "No. We go with our original plan. Eliminate the target." "Very well." Sharu gave him one final bow and warped out.

"Oh, how I have missed you sweet Bastet..." Nelphean said as he closed the distance between himself and the others. "My days have grown quite dark and miserable since last we meet." Nelphean bowed his head from his mount. Snow shook her mane.
Nelphean dismounted and let the horse graze in the nearby yard.
"I see that your studies have go just as far as mine."

Bastet was repelled back and hit the side of the manor a few feet up the wall, falling to the ground at the base. Caught off guard, she weakly leaned up onto her arms and watched everyone. "Nelphean....be careful. Why has Vik not woken up yet....?" She waited for the automatic healing to start for herself, but was shocked when nothing happened, "Ok, apparently, I went too far, too soon, in my studies."

Nailah yawned and sat up in Alex's bed. She rubbed her eyes and shook her head. Looking down she saw her filthy nightdress. She really needed to do something about that. She walked over to Alex's closet and started looking through it. Finally she saw a black fuzzy robe. Perfect. She slipped the filthy nightdress over her head and pulled on the robe. Then she looked at the bed. Alex hadn't moved and the kittens were still sleeping as was Rasui. Nailah wondered where Kepi was. She slowly walked to the door and opened it stepping out into the hall tightening the belt of the robe as she went. She draped the nightdress over her arm and considered who she could find to give her some clothes. Walking out she headed to find a spot to wash her dirty nightdress and saw everyone. Walking up she noddded to Nelphean and Vik and Shin, then turned to Bastet. "Are you alright? What happened here?"

Nelphean ignored the bolts that sprayed about. "I have several layers of electrical protection active... I have a mage trying to kill me currently..." Nelphean walked over to Bastet and stood between her and the Vik.
"You seem to still be taped?" Nelphean said. "Perhaps we should have tried my method... But then again, doesn't it feel great to master a new spell on your own."
Nelphean placed a hand on Bastet's head, and extened a magical detection through her body. The energies were weak...
"Hmm.." Nelphean said with a smirk.

Glaring at Nelphean, she sat up some more. "Well, somebody was not here to inform me of their method, and yes it feels good to have achieved this on my own. I shall lay here weak with pride." Sitting up some more, she leaned against the side of the manor. "I have not been practicing magic for as long as some people." Her eyes softened and her ears perked up as she yawned. "This would have been easier as well, had I slept."
Watching Nailah approach, she nodded to her, "I am just drained," And in need of some healing myself.... "But I do hope Vik is ok as well."

Nelphean laughed and sat beside Bastet. "I am just over a century old..." His hand landed on Bastet's arm, and a small jolt of healing energy transfered from him to her. "That is the extent of my curative magic. You have the upper hand in that area of study."

The air around them suddenly grew quiet and the sky grew dark. Even though the sun was gone, the shadows of the trees around them seemed to grow larger. But it was no illusion, the shadows were stretching towards Vik. They gathered in the form of a pool of swirling darkness about two yards away from where everyone was standing. From it, rose three figures. There was what appeared to be an elf armed with a bow slung on his back and two trolls, both bradishing huge wooden clubs. As the pool disappeared, a fourth figure rose from the ground. It was completly made of shadows and it's eyes were pupil-less. Dark scars resembling Vik's could be seen on the troll's chest and the elf's forehead. "There's our target." The elf said. "You know what to do." The trolls grunted and started to approach Vik.

Nailah raised her eyebrows at the exchange between Nelphean and Bastet. He might be good...but there are so many. She looked at Vik and shook her head. Seemed like everyone was having trouble nowadays. "Is he gonna be alright?" THen she looked over at Bastet concern evident in her eyes. She shook her head. "I can certainly take care of that...but I kind of need you to do me a...favor..." She bit her lip and pulled Alex's robe tighter. It was too big for her but it was all she had.

she stood there and growled, ears twitching. "what is it...with people that stay here....being targets, eh?" Shin glared, sizing up the three. Elf had ranged attacks....not good. Trolls....bashing weapons, though still mid/l;ong range. and stupid. definitly not good.

Nelphean laughed. "Only two giants?" He pointed a finger at them, "Uh, lets see what everyone else does first.." Nelphean chuckled. He fought like this regularly, the odds seemingly against him, and few hopes to win. He laughed again. With a mage, nothing was ever what it seemed...

"Really I do? Well thank you anyway. I must have been in enough scraps for the magic itself to grow stronger, without me growing stronger about how to use it. You see, I have never needed to heal others before, because I have never cared to before. So, though I am older, you have still been practicing longer, my dear Nelphean." She flashed a smile at him. She was now healed, but still weak, nothing could help that but rest. Growling at her own seemingly helplessness, she picked up one of her sai and aimed it to hit the skull of one of the trolls. Throwing it quickly and efficiently, it zoomed towards its target. "See what happens indeed."

The construct jumped over the manor, and landed on top of the trolls that didn't have a dagger flying towords its head. Then, using that troll as a club, hit the elf.
"Good Monolith" Nelphean said, "Bastet, your courage is an inspiration." The elf said.

Nailah watched and waited. She knew battles were not good for her. But at the same time she couldn't stand by and do nothing. She saw Bastet's sai leave it's owners hand and sighed. Looked like there was going to be another battle. She stepped back knowing seh would be much more help as sa healer than as a fighter.

The troll yelled out as the massive foot came crashing down on it. The other one spun around and started running but the Sai penetrated his skull. The last thing it remembered was being lifted up and hurled. The elf jumped to the side, avoiding the propelled carcass without difficulty. "You're friend's of his, I suppose." said the elf, "Please get out of the way. We've been given orders to eliminate Vik. You have no idea what you'll be getting into if you continue to leeway us." He reached back, drew his bow, and fitted an arrow into it. "Now, I ask you again. Move! Or I will be forced to eliminate you too!"
