Timiki attempted to move her wings again, and this time she managed to get them to flap. She floated in the air for a while, but soon had to get back down. "This really will need some getting used to."

Vitae nodded and pet her, "You did good though." The god turned back towards Olan, "So what shall we do now Olan?" he saked somewhat abruptly,

"Do you think we should find out why the hellhounds are in the forest even now?" Olan asked. "They weren't supposed to be there, right? Or at least Timiki wasn't supposed to encounter them..."

"I could find out, but I don't think I'd like the answer..." Vitae sighed and started to sink into the ground, "Timiki, protect Olan, I won't be too long.." The god continued to seep into the earth until he was gone and nothing was left to say he was even there.

So they waited, though Timiki was mostly practicing how to fly. As for Olan, he would glance at the forest to see if anything suspicious was there. With the anxiety he had, he really wanted to go fishing. He actually would have if he had one of those cravings for fish.

Vitae was launched out of the ground like he was slung by a catapult. He landed with a loud thid and skid into the earth as he hit his head on a tree He was badly wounded "Ooooooh...." He groaned and tried to support himself, but his arm trembled and collapsed.

Upon seeing the god and his terribly injured state, Olan got up and ran to him. "Vitae! Vitae, what happened?" He tugged on his arm in an attempt to help him up. "My gods..."

Vitae leaned on Olan, "Hades was... very rude..." He coughed up a bit of blood, "Ooh..." Soon, the god lost conciousness and laid in the other's arms.

Olan had to drag Vitae back to their house, but, thankfully, the god wasn't as heavy as he thought. Timiki tried to help, but the most she could do was make sure nothing attacked them all of a sudden.

Vitae laid there in an unconscious state. His breathing was somewhat labored and his heart beat was erradic. His chest would pound every so often and then it would stop for a while and calm down. Then it would pound again.

Olan set Vitae on the leaf bed and kept watch over him, greatly concerned about his strange breathing. Timiki put a soaked cloth on Vitae's forehead, most likely in case of a fever. They could only wonder how "rude" Hades had been.
"I think I'll go look for some herbs," Olan said as he stood up. "Maybe some feathers, too." Before he could leave, however, he was stopped by the fox, who stared at him as if to tell him to stay put.

Vitae's breathing slowed and soon it was normal as well as his breathing but the rag quickly became warm and his erratic breathing and heartbeat started up again. He had an almost pained expression on his face.

Olan took the rag and quickly walked outside, this time ignoring Timiki's attempts to keep him in. Once he re-soaked the cloth in the cool lake water, he returned to the house, but only to re-place the cloth. He quickly left again to look for herbs, for he feared Vitae was either poisoned or coming down with some serious illness.
Timiki was unsure whether she should follow Olan or watch over Vitae. If the latter was well enough to take care of himself, she would have left the flat in a jiffy, but at this moment there was no way she could, especially with those hellhounds still out there.

Vitae's rag quickl grew warm again and the cycle continued once more of erratic breathing and heartbeat after his rag became hot to the touch.
There were sinister creatures folloing Olan. They were careful to keep their space between themself and the unsuspecting immortal. They snarled and a few of them went ahead.

Timiki continued to watch over Vitae nervously, wishing Olan would just return already. If she didn't know better, she'd say that the god of life was about to die, but immortals don't die, do they? Well, they couldn't die from old age, but what about from injury.
Out of desperation, the fox started to pray. She prayed to Apollo, for she once heard that he was capable of healing. In case he couldn't understand her, she prayed to Artemis, the goddess of animals. Finally, the fox prayed to Hermes to guide Olan back home. Now, she could only wait and maybe find the guts to re-soak the hot rag.
Olan had managed to find his way to a patch of herbs that he always went to over the last three years. They had always been good for treating fevers, so he didn't hesitate to pick some. For a moment, he forgot about the dangers lurking in the forest.
