CHASE & WINTER
Chase's face stayed fairly impassive as he looked around, but Winter's eyes light up gold with wonder as he tried to take everything in, grinning broadly.

 Creatures of all shapes and sizes began to populate the Earth, Sky, and Sea, most resembling one beast or another, only made up of the Element that they lived. Though ... each group had a few that stood out. Nox was among those that stood out--and remained the largest--in the group of Fire Lords, and Leviathan was also so in his group down in the sea. "Remember," Nox said to the two elves, "stay inconspicuous."Soon, when it seemed no more beings could possibly fit in the crowds above, among, and below, a very large bull/boar type beast of rock and mossy 'fur,' let out a bellow. "Silence! The meeting is to being. Are there any absent?"There was silence. "Any returning?" Nox stood up a bit straighter, and the salamanders present all called out: "Lord Nox!"Leviathan looked to almost be foaming at the mouth in barely-controlled rage, body tense and coiled. The other Water Lords floated away from him a bit, a giant squid rolling a gigantic eye in contempt.

CHASE & WINTER
Chase stood silently, trying very hard not to snicker at the Water Lord's obvious anger. It was so, terribly amusing, through. Winter was equally silent as he looked around, eyes wide. He had never in a million years thought he would be someplace like this and he was amazed by it. Getting to watch the Lord of Earth was even better, considering most Elves worshiped him. It was like meeting a God! Winter had to resist the urge to go over, hug the elemental, ask for an autograph, and ask him questions. He wondered if this was the one responsible for stripping away Elven powers so long ago... So while Winter was silent, he seemed to bob up and down with barely-contained excitement.

The boor/bull snorted with a nod, then slammed on hoof down into the ground, making the entire area shake for a moment. "Then let the meeting begin! Lord Aue, you wished to begin?" The Earth Lord, Behemoth, looked up to what appeared to be a massive bird of prey, the largest of the Air Lords and Elementals. The bird nodded, wings not even needing to move to keep himself aloft on the sea breeze. "Yes. The wind in some human places ... it's getting harder to move in some of them. It's clogged in there, with smog and things. Elementals of all kinds are weak in such places, despite strong wind, clear water, or warm fire. I think it would be good to keep all of them away from habitation."One of the smaller Fire Lords immodestly stomped what looked like a paw, and roared out: "Salamanders are crowded enough in the volcanoes and other natural spaces where the air is hot; human fires are the only places they can go to ease the crowds!" Lord Behemoth snorted again, the the fiery lion quieted. "We all know that Fire has the least space on the Surface, but you must remember that Fire also has the most space Below.""And you," Nox spoke up, voice loud and strong in this form, "would do well to remember that Salamanders can only breed and raise older children where there is air to breathe. There is no air to feed healthy flames Beneath, Lord Behemoth. Lord Aue, your advice is appreciated, but the salamanders must go where they can."

Chase put a hand on his brother's shoulder in an attempt to calm him down, but Winter still bubbled with energy. Maybe... Bring the Elf wasn't the best idea. But it was a little too late to regret. If he had too, Chase would tie Winter up and muzzle him. The thought was strangely amusing and the assassin squeezed Winter's shoulder again, turning his attention back to the meeting.

"Since that's settled," Lord Behemoth said, going to smoothly move onto the next topic, but Leviathan interrupted. "And what of the east isles? The Fire Lords still push for volcanic activity there?" Lord Leviathan growled from below. Now that started quite a few yells from both Fire Lords and Water Lords. Apparently this was ... quite an argued subject. Nox growled down at Leviathan, and Leviathan hissed back. That was the argument Nox had been killed over-- "Silence!" was bellowed, and by god there was silence. Lord Behemoth snorted. "That discussion has been argued the past twenty meetings, and neither of you have agreed to anything sensible. Until those of Fire and those of Water agree, it is a waste of time to argue endlessly."

Chase raised an eyebrow at the fighting, finding the topic of debate interesting. His brother did too, apparently.
"Can't you just make half the isle volcanic and fill the other half with lakes and junk?" Winter wondered out loud, frowning a bit as he thought about his suggestion.
Chase ALMOST felt the need to face palm.

Several salamanders around the two hissed with laughter, and then took it upon themselves to amplify the suggestion. "Can't you just make half the isle volcanic and fill the other half with lakes and junk?" they yelled together in a very ... loud manner. Lord Behemoth snorted in a dismissive way. "For the sake of--You can't have half of an island with fire and brimstone and the other with streams and ponds! Volcanic ash is very fertile ... after the volcanoes become inactive; use your heads!" The salamanders snickered to themselves, highly amused at making a Lord snort at them. "Besides, this is an entire growing island chain. The water Lord wishes to stop the flow of lava from creating any more islands, while the Fire Lord argues they need the active volcano space."Nox gave Winter a glare, then sighed. "And we do need the space--""And we need the sea space!" Leviathan interrupted, yet again. Nox growled. Leviathan hissed. Behemoth shook is horned and tusked head.

"...Totally knew that..." Winter muttered, blushing slightly. "Well... Logically... Most of the world is made up of water. Even if you're only counting the ocean, there's still much more that than fire or lava. And even them, most oceans connect underground to lakes and rivers flow into them... So you would think you would leave the volcanic islands to create more, at least until it REALLY starts doing damage to the oceans, which will probably be never."
At least that comment was better than the last.

Oh~ The salamanders liked this idea better. At least, they nodded to one another and didn't laugh. Several began nudging Winter, pushing him from the back and closer to the front so he could say his idea for himself while being seen and heard at the same time by all. "Go, go!" they encouraged, motioning for the elf to speak.

Winter blinked a bit as the others started pushing him forward, encouraging him. He had never really expected do much more than observe, but the tide of people already had him to the front of the ground, blushing and fidgeting slightly. But of course, he was a Lord too, and Lords couldn't go around acting shy. So he cleared his throat a bit and repeated himself, a little louder.

Behemoth nodded, giving an appreciative grunt. "See? A nice, sensible point, not a bunch of yelling! Now, Water Lords, do you have anything to say to counter that?" Nox actually gave Winter a small smile from where he was--a slightly scary smile, considering his mouth was full of very sharp and burning teeth, but a smile all the same.
"Yes, we have a counterpoint!" Leviathan said for all of them, "With each island created there is more land and less space for water! Of course you would like this idea Behemoth, but with more land the oceans will have to shift, forcing water into places its never been. Where the gods-know-what will mix into the water, polluting in and our home!"

The Elf blinked some. "Yes, but the isles aren't going to grow that large overnight. It's going to take time for something like that... Thousands of years. By that point, for all you know, the humans could have died off, leaving the land to clean itself up," Winter said, starting to actually fall from his high of excitement and think clearly. "And I've lived with humans. They're all on this 'Go Green' kick we're they're trying to make chemicals eco-friendly. In the next hundred years, they may actually succeed at it. Plus, with what you said Lord Leviathan, it would technically benefit two elementals that are in need of land a little more than you. You would think the need to two poorer-off racers would outweigh the need of one that seems to already own most of the world."
Chase couldn't help the slightly proud smile that crept over his face.

Leviathan ... simmered and hissed, but obviously had nothing to counter that facts. The Fire creatures were ecstatic. The water ones were ... glaring. "Winter," Nox said quietly to the elf, "if I were you, I'd be careful when I went swimming for the next few centuries." But he was obviously quite happy with the elf. "Well, that makes that quite drawn-out matter finally settled," Lord beneath said. "Does anyone else have anything to add before this meeting is concluded?"

Winter blinked and frowned, turning to Nox and asking, "Huh... Why?" Obviously perfectly clueless to the anger directed at him. But then he heard Behemoth's statement and quickly turn. "A-Actually..." he stammered out, turning back to the Lord and bowing deeply. "I did want to say that's an honor to meet you, my Lord Behemoth. And on the behalf of Elves everywhere I wanted to thank you for being so patient with our race. I know... We can be a vein and... Petty at times... We often think ourselves better than others... But I like to think our race is getting better the more of us branch out and interact with the other races. But... There are a couple matters I wouldn't mind discussing with you... Or more like questions I would like to ask... If you don't mind, sir..."
