Mike Awesome erstatz_vampire i have lots of messed up friends..... oh well, i saw ultra violet....it was ok, the acting on Mila Jovovich's part could have been way better.... neutral I thought about renting that...may go see Superman today instead, although I am hearing bad things. Mila is'nt the best actor, she's just been getting roles suited for her, that and showing skin...
Hollywood hardly ever changes it's game....
Anyway, was the action worth renting it for...? I thought so, many different styles of martial arts. 3nodding

They said Ultraviolet was pretty much ripped off from Equalibrium. I've read a decent amount of reviews that have said they just took the plot from Equalibrium and made another movie with it.

Still have'nt seen that, though Vil tells me it's not that great. I just saw Superman, and while the plot was a little slow developing and the drag time of having him reintroduced and doing Super poses sucked, the Superness of the action was right on track. Some really great scenes right out of comic book fantasy. Plus Lex Luthor was finally a wicked dirty villian. Don't get me wrong Gene Hackman did a decent job, but This Luthor was far more vile and comic book like. The comedy from the role was only through Irony where as he was treated aloofly in the first movies. Plus some scenes just showed how depraved even a criminal "mastermind" can be when he is'nt getting the paycheck his genius deserves and is reduced to villianous debauchery and prison time with the scum of society. This was a Luthor that would push his own mother down a flight of stairs to get to the last piece of left over cake from his Birthday party a day before, even though she got him that brand new bike.
