HeroCasey BlackKingX It took me 12 years to watch every episode of Dragonball/Dragonball Z/Dragonball GT..... From age 4-16. I'm thinking of watching every episode over again.. What with no longer having to wait for a new episode to be made.. sweatdrop Its been 3 years, afterall. surprised I won an ebay auction and have all of Z on DVD. It's nifty. Ebay...such a wonderfull thing! At times i wonder where the world would be with out it...and then i notice....I was just out bided...then i say...oh that is how the world is...*cocks gun*

I have a few DBZ DVD's..... But I'll probably just watch them on youtube.. I'm pretty sure every episode is uploaded there.. Yeah, I've been doing that with the Gundam series'.

I'm not ripping on anyone; the talk of youtube just reminded me of something.
I've always wondered why people complain so much about how Bandai is reluctant to bring over Gundam series, and then go off to watch the series via Bittorrent or youtube instead of buying it. If we want more Gundam here, we actually have to give Bandai a reason to send it over--meaning buy their freakin' DVDs!

That is wayyy too much to pay for one DVD. I make 7.20 an hour. I have to work like 5 hours just to afford 1. Gundam needs to relaunch with a new series. SEED was apparently close as alot of people liked it, but not enough. Plus for American viewers, the owner of the Anime shop, was telling me that once Cartoon Network started shifting SEED around in timeslots, it died as far as sales go. Gundam can definately get going again, look at Wing. It was given a prime slot on Toonami and then the much anticipated "Uncut" ("damn" and "kill") late at night. Gundam was all the rage. I think it can come back in America. I do own just about all the PS2 Gundam games..so I guess I'm helping slightly.

All Bandai needs to to to revive Gundam is one of two things: 1)Air Gundam X on Toonami, OR 2)Air Turn-A Gundam with minor sensors (tacking boxers onto the Streaking Loran) on Adult swim.

HeroCasey While I completely agree with you, at my local anime shop, Zeta DVD's are 30 dollars A PIECE. That is wayyy too much to pay for one DVD. I make 7.20 an hour. I have to work like 5 hours just to afford 1. True enough, but prices tend to vary from store-to-store. I bought the first two volume of Gundam SEED for only $20 a piece. You just have to go bargain hunting. Quote: Gundam needs to relaunch with a new series. SEED was apparently close as alot of people liked it, but not enough. Plus for American viewers, the owner of the Anime shop, was telling me that once Cartoon Network started shifting SEED around in timeslots, it died as far as sales go. Of course: people didn't know that it had changed slots, and thought it was taken off. It was an absolutely idiotic move on the part of Cartoon Network, and Bandai should never have let them do it. Quote: Gundam can definately get going again, look at Wing. It was given a prime slot on Toonami and then the much anticipated "Uncut" ("damn" and "kill") late at night. Gundam was all the rage. I think it can come back in America. Not necessarily. Mobile Suit Gundam aired on Toonami not long after Gundam Wing finished, and it did abysmally. So bad, in fact, that they didn't even let it finish its run. Then it happened again on Adult Swim. And part of the reason that Gundam SEED's run wasn't as successful as anticipated--or so I think--is because Toonami no longer runs in a prime spot for Cartoon Network's generally pre-teen audience to watch. It used to be in the middle of the afternoon, but now is on only when most small children are going to bed. What Bandai needs to do is send over a Gundam series that can appeal to both young and old; a series that has relatively recent animation; a series that doesn't have too much drama or too much action; a series that can make rabid fangirls rant and rave about how "hot the characters are." In this vein, I'd choose After War Gundam X. While Mobile Suit ZZ Gundam, Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, and Turn A Gundam are all amazing series, I don't think that they'd be the right choices to send over for the simple fact that the younger audience might find them boring. Quote: I do own just about all the PS2 Gundam games..so I guess I'm helping slightly. Yay!

Well, on the only point I feel a need to comment on is the American airing of MGS. It was pulled early because, I'll get alot of heat for this, the series can be extremely boring at times. Hell, it didn't even do well in Japan when it launched. I think it would have been much smarter to air the 3 movies instead.
I think MGS was way too serious for the Cartoon Network crowd. So, it failed.
I think Gundam has the potential to relaunch her, but I honestly don't know. I mean, I think the anime segment of Adult Swim is half as popular as it use to be. The only new shows coming in are the comedy ones. So, I really just don't know.

So " The only new shows coming in are the comedy ones"=WRONG!

I think Eureka Seven bombed aswell, hence it was shifted to the back of the line-up. I think they had a small transition slide making fun of it.

If Destiny goes over well, then I suppose they'll put other Gundam on. So, it's important that we all watch this?
