"Sometimes you are used to being alone and you do not know anything else. Other times, you are forced to be alone." Kind of like her. Some things were just hard to forgive, and she knew that...which was why she accepted what other myths thought of her. But a couple of hours spent there, browsing and what not, perhaps a random item or two being offered to either two of them, and then of course the random child would come up with something that met scavenger hunt requirements and earn another stone. Of course soon enough those were counted up and a winner was delcared.

But soon enough she was returning her attention to Logan with that ever content expression and aura about her. A look up at the sun and then back to Logan. "Hungry?"

A small nod form Logan, the words Aiden spoke of were true, there are times where people are alone by choice and there are times when people are forced due to some reason. But he slowly pushed that thought into the back of his mind as they continued on with their walk, browsing the stores as they looked for something that may have caught their interest and there were times when someone came along to offer them something which depending on what was given Logan either accepted or refused it. But what was funny for him was that the scavenger hunt, kids still kept on coming and handing things over to Aiden to get points and after awhile she was able to declare a winner. With a tiny smile he looked over towards Aiden and shrugged "A little what about you?"

"I could stand some food...I did not eat much this morning." The running joke with her was that she ate like a bird...which she did. Meaning when she did eat, seh picked at her food and often didn't eat much of it, though claimed that she was full. "Well, the best place that caters to myth's tastes is the tavern back in Fe'Laar. Care to head back and get something then?" Being ever personable Aiden.

Logan cocked a brow at her comment, didn't she eat anything at all this morning? but then again women don't eat much anyway for some reason, but what he noticed from before was that Aiden was kind of picky with her food and didn't eat much. So with a small shrug and a smile he gave a light nod. "Sure why not? I don't mind the walk really it was really nice today anyway." So with that out of the way the pair made their way back to the gates of Sh'Kaar. Logan paused a minute as he turned back towards the village and looked back towards Aiden. "Too bad you can't live here, it seems more peaceful and happy." He said with a light smile then began the walk slowly back to Fe'laar.

Ecara scratched at her ears that were poking through her helm. "Um...just give me something that makes logical sense. I guess that means that I'll take the books then, I can understand those and not overthink them."
PostPosted: Fri Nov 10, 2006 7:29 pm

"Okay, books for Ecara. how about you Tyler?"

Setting the books down for Ecara, and getting her a comforatble chair.

"I have lists of what we're looking for two. at least eh alchemical componets Isle knows are a certainly used by him."

"I probably know less about alchemical stuff but my mother drilled healing and whatnot into my head so recipes and instructions or lists I can handle. But runics...the only thing close to that that I know are a few hieroglyphs and I got those wrong half the time. Better give me the crystals."
PostPosted: Fri Nov 10, 2006 8:14 pm

"You would know your heiroglyphs better if you had sat down and studied them." Giving a little snort and sitting down in the chair Richard had got for her, taking to books immediately. Hey, book she knew and could do...it was almost scary how fast she could read through a book, cover to cover and absorb every word. "And what am I looking in these books for again?"

"Okay then, cyrstals for you, runics for me."

Setting down the items and getting chairs.

"the crystals act like...magic mirrors. you can talk tot eh person on the other end. adn runics do similar, they just arrange themselves in patricular orders."

then over to Ecara.

"Looking for suppliers in this list of items."

Passing one of the three copies to her, and tyler.

"Once we find out who supplies them, we can start looking into whom they are supplying too."
PostPosted: Fri Nov 10, 2006 9:11 pm

"Can do." Thus taking to her task with surpring speed....or maybe not so surprising if you knew her habits, quickly scanning pages for words that matched between the list and the book she was going through, flipping pages as if she wasn't really reading at all, but quite clearly from her jotting notes she was. She may not like research, but she was damn good, fast and accurate about it.

Tyler stared at Richard for a moment. He was supposed to talk to the crystals? His blue eyes glanced at Ecara who was busy doing her speed reading thing and he nodded. "Alright. I'm overtaking a meditation room." Because there was no way in hell he was holding a conversation with a mirror in front of anyone else. What if one of those people decided to make him look stupid. Nope, not happening. Picking up his list, the mirrors and a pile of parchment and pen to write notes on, he nodded to the others and left to start his own task, settling down in one of the rooms and beginning his own...research.

Kalindra popped up a little while later in the study area the other two were in, her iridescent eyes flashing. "Dammit, leave it to that son of a b***h to give me a job he knew I would fail at!" She slammed her hand down on the table and shook her head. "I have scoured every inch of those damn ruins and almost all of the bordering outliers and let me tell you, that wolf is nowhere to be found. If you ask me, he's probably holed up with the b*****d who's responsible for all this." A shake of her head and she continued to rant, "There's no magical traces, no way to find him. Do I look like a wolf to him? Do I look like an expert tracker? Magic, yes, regular scents and nonsense, no." She sighed and plopped in one of the chairs then raised an eyebrow at Richard. "What are we doing?"
PostPosted: Fri Nov 10, 2006 10:26 pm

A chuckle at Kalindra.

"He probably thought that it would have telltale signs of passing through. after all, according to what I know, a Dire wolf is intelligent, and about two to three times the mass of a normal wolf. very big, very mean. Janus probably thought there'd be a wake of destruction in it's feeding or movement."

A soft smile, while arranging runes and having them magically rearrange themselves.

"We were assigned to find all suppliers of the alchemical ingredients known to be used by Teon. then, to see if we can trace any unusual sales to anyone or a place."

A lean over and a kiss for Kalindra.

"From what I understand, the idea is to first track suppliers. if he's not getting it from a merchant, he's growing it. I imagine if that is the case, he's going to try and sweet talk Larissa into killing off the plants where they grow in any kind of abundance."

Opportunity just knocked. "If you want...Lady Kalindra...I'd be happy to switch tasks with you." Tapping her nose with a finger. "After all, I do have the nose of a wolf...and it takes one to know one. I'm a wolf too...so who's better for the job?" A look to Richard as if to catch him before he tried to contradict her. "I'm more or less done anyway...I work fast. Lady Kalindra can pick up where I left off..."
PostPosted: Sat Nov 11, 2006 5:16 pm

Kalindra snorted. "I don't follow tracks, that's not my job. Besides there's more than just that one wolf in this place. Even if I did find a set of tracks, and even if I did follow them, they wouldn't lead me anywhere important. Teon is not stupid, I don't know how many times I have to reiterate this concept to you men." A roll of her eyes before her gaze turned on the little wolf girl. "Now there is a suggestion worth merit and she's respectful in her suggesting of it too. You, I like. Ecara is your name, right? The human's lover?" Before going back to Richard. "Ha, good luck with that. That little tree hugger wouldn't kill anything, she's too good for it." Her voice was filled with disgust but she tilted her head at Ecara. "Why do you want my job? You got a personal vendetta or something against Teon?"

"Because, Lady Kalindra, I'm not one for book reading and the talents that are bred into me from my father are being wasted sitting here in a room reading and writing. I'm fast, and I have excellent stamina and endurance, I can run for a few miles straight. My hearing and sense of smell and eyes are sharper, I'm made for tracking. What better to use to track a wolf than another wolf?"
