I also dont actually OWN them..but I exercsize them for they're owner *my confirmation teacher at church*.

Hey Saikano, maybe Image can give Penny some tips on weight gain, he seems to be pretty GREAT at it.
Besides just exercsize, would salt licks help him lose some weight?

Panamohnia Saikano Okay, hate to point this out, but I wanna hit to nails with one swing here. Savanna on her fave Lesson horse, Zippy. (His father's side is Champion jumpers, her mom was a regular horse with Arthritis. biggrin ) Two, See how Savanna has her back strait but still slightly sunk in in the middle? It's to push the horse over the jump, not to hurl the horse to the jump or to push them down. :3 not so Friendly advice. :3 Her form is near perfect, the object is to fold FORWARD while lifting slightly, not STAND UP out of the stirrups with your upper body 3 feet above the horse's neck. And your back isn't supposed to be sunken in. Also, the point is NOT to push the horse over the jump, it is to get out of the way of the horse and let it do its thing... get your weight RIGHT off of its back. o__0 Elisha was the hunter/jumper EXPERT when she was on EoG. I think she knows what she is doing. o.o; And why does it matter that the dam had arthritis? :nods: on top of that, the reason u open ur shoulders and chest and keep ur back flat is to keep ur uper body "motile" if u know what i mean (able to follow the horse and not get on its forhand). but what's more inportant than the upper body position is the base support, the position of the legs. both riders could be further back, but lisha has a stronger leg and base and her leg is in the EXACTLY perfect position.

That is a really bad pic to try and 'teach' someone with. She's overjumping for one, and her lower leg has slipped back, and looks completely insecure. She's also doing a very, very basic release (mane grab) and I would think by this height her instructor would have at least taught her a simple crest release. IMO, jumping this high (looks about 2'6 to me) without some very basic things in place is just asking for trouble. And you never want to 'sink' your back, you want a flat back, with your sternum raised. Hollowing your back makes it weak. The grey looks like he's actually striding the fence, so her position is pretty-much correct, and it seems like he's confident at this height. I'd like to see the girl bring her shoulders back a little more, this will help with the 'roached back' appearance. Her lower leg looksvery nice, and pretty secure , even though I'd like to see her shorten her stirrups a hole or two.

Groovy Spleen; How can you tell the girl is holding onto the mane? I can't tell if that's just where her hands are or she's actually gripping mane. Maybe it's just me, and that I don't know anything about jumping, but I can't see one way or the other. xd

Groovy Spleen: This is not totally directed to you, but namley the members in htg. Actually, I`m not holding onto mane.... and secondly I know it sucks but for the last time and maby if you LISTEN this time when I say it... I was having a horrible day riding, my dad was there and I was really intimidated by him, I know it's a huge nono, but I ended up paying more attention to what was goin on around me as opposed to what I was doing. I mean, you can`t say you`ve never over jumped befor, and like I said, I was having a really crappy day, I mean I`m sure you`d be a little intimidated and not ridding like yourself if a person you had up on serious charges was standing there watching you and trying to get right infront of the jump befor you go over it to *some how get a better picture* So please, for the LAST time, I do admit I wasn`t all there, BUT I was totally off that day, and I`m still working on not worrieing about whos there or not, okay? So PLEASE stop with the picking!

If it were a crest release, they would be slightly lower, along the side of the neck, to press into the sides. And it doesn;t look like an auto-release, as the reins are still pretty tight and the hands seem to be 'resting' on the neck. Looks like a 'mane-grab' release to me, but I admit, it might not be.

I've been meaning to post this one for a few days, never got around to it. But here it is, woo. xp
The other night, I super-groomed Joy up. Clipped her muzzle and bridle path, brushed her over super-good, banged her tail, trimmed her mane, put polish on her hooves, put powder on her socks, put her show halter on, the whole nine yards. I wanted some nice, classy pics of her, showing off her conformation. whee

Before you start critiquing(sp?) me....This is the most god-awful form I've ever done....I'm ashamed. I never ride like that...Well anyway this is my Arab-Paint-unregistered-air-headed-free-give-away-horse. (course my 4-H horse and me clash...all the time, getting on Easter...is, like amazing. There's no 'I'll get around to it mom...' <------------4-H Horse Easter-------------->I say jump, she says, "how high, far and when?" I heart her...  THIS would be my 4-H horse Chance, also unregistered. He is worth 20$ + a trade....now after seven years and lots of blood and sweat he is one of the most sought after horses in the area...because he's so called "push-button"?  Where did they get that idea?? He is 12 years now, so is Easter, we aquired Easter a year after we brought Chance home. Killing; You know, you could probably find registries for both of them if you really wanted. If you're interested, PM me. After doing a lot of searching for a registry for my mare Joy, I've learned a lot about registering horses one would think could not be registered. rofl
They're both awesome, I love the halter on the sorrel.
