Fauve was weary.. but the look on Chae's face pulled on her heartstrings. She slipped off the bed and onto the floor crawling over to sit next to the woman. She slipped an arm around her shoulders and tried to give her a reassuring look. Growing up was difficult, and looking at Chae she was starting to realize that it wasn't just hard for the masque doing it. She felt bad for how she had been treating Merci since her change.

Merci got back to the room and slammed her weapons down on the chest that held her belongings. She was a little pissed off actually, what the heck had she done! Fauve just shoved her away, Merci knew she was kinda growing up, but that didn't mean that... well... Fauve still shouldn't treat her this way. She glanced over at Uriel, whom she'd woken up with her slamming around. The red head kneeled down and stroked the boy's arm, "sorry Uriel, go back to sleep hun." She watched as his eyes shut again in slumber. Merci crawled into her cot, and stared at the wall, she probably wouldn't get anymore sleep tonight.

Fauve's eyes drooped closed and her head fell forward on her chest. She fell asleep, arm around Chae, sitting up on the floor.

Merci heard her front door slam open again and she sat bolt upright, she grabbed her pistol and slunk out of bed. There was no way that slimeball was back now... no way.... i mean.. right? Merci inched her bedroom door open and moved down the hallway quietly, breathing a huge sigh of relief when she saw Cinder and Kasai.. "Relax.. He got teleported away again.. Loki had the big machine and we managed to distract him long enough to get rid of him..." Merci felt it was her duty to fill Cinder in.. knowing that the woman would remember their FIRST run in with Silva...

Merci nodded quiety.. "yeah.. Silva was attacking Io.. Fauve helped Io get back to her bedroom and hasn't come back from that yet.. so my guess would be still over there.." maybe.. but with the mood Merci was in now.. if Fauve ran off, Merci wasn't sure she would chase her down the way she did before... the red headed guardian had a brief flash of pain on her face before she shrugged it away. "Yeah Kasai.. if your looking for her, that would be where to find her... She was pretty tired.. she might have just passed out over there.."

Loki hunkered over the computer, typing in rapidly as he searched for the teleported male. If they were going to keep him from being a problem again they would have to take measures to keep him off the planet. For some reason Silva always seemed to come back.

He rubbed the bridge of his muzzle, feeling a headache threatening. He hadn't had more then a few hours of sleep in the last few days, and knew he was about to crash. But this was more important then sleep, he told himself.

He didn't even think about the various females in the house, hadn't really thought tossing a blanket and a pillow to the woman as being a rejection, he wasn't the type to notice those things unless it was shoved down his throat. And besides, the girl had just changed, not been strangled like his sister.

Damn that Silva... He would pay for what he had done to Loki's family. After a second a slight smirk pulled on the fox boy's lips as he changed windows on the computer. Plink purred slightly from where he sat on top of the computer monitor. He did so love an intelligent owner.

"And... there we go." Loki muttered, leaning back and watching as all the funds in Silva's various bank accounts found themselves relocated to his own. "Even if he wants to, he won't be able to afford the trip back for a while." With that he stood, heading for his bed, Plink padding after him to curl up above his head.

"Alright we will let you get some rest then", Cin wasn't certain but she though that perhaps Merci' may need someone to talk to, "Kali is making waffles at our place if you would like to come over for breakfast, and I am more then willing to listen if you would like to just chat sometime." Stepping outside slightly Cin sees Galilee make his way over and then is slightly surprised when he took her hand. She looked up smiling at Kali, "We all seem to be ok over here, but those waffles are going to be very much appreiciated."



That's good, I am glad everyone is alright. Sorry I didn't wake up sooner or I would have come with you, I must just be a heavy sleeper. Kasai blushes slightly under his mask giving it an even redder tone for a moment.

Admittedly, Chae was just used to the dangers of Shiva's masque...but she managed to avoid the protrusions of Fauves with one or two nicks she chose to think of battle scars and not collateral damage.

She had never been in this room before, and it seemed nice enough. Io had quite an independant streak...or Ice did by the scope of the decor.

That made Chae frown a bit. Shi might begin to expect more now...or would she? She had just gotten used to having a child, and now abruptly she had a teenager. Wasn't it supposed to be...a whole lot more transitional than that?

Sighing lightly, she just rocked Fauve unconsciously and watched the other girl slumber on quietly. Poor Shi, always trying not to be in the way of anything. Standing apart and always conscious of her effect on things around her. How would she feel now that despite that care, things had swirled out of her control anyway?

Would she end up being as difficult and willfull as the other teens had seemed to be towards the people that had cared for them the most? Was human teenage angst similar to Masque teenage angst in that Chae could now expect arguments, disobedience and the threat of Shi falling into dangerous situations?

Its not as if now she could merely order the girl back to her room. A child might have accepted that...but she wasn't sure that a teenager would. Especially one that still called her by her first name.

A partnership, Shi had once called it. A relationship built on needs and emotion.

A partnership. Chae had echoed. Understanding that a partnership was not a family.

Perhaps Shi would believe that the partnership had run its course. Perhaps Chae should stop thinking about what to do with a life that may have already decided to go its own way.

She was very sure...that rejection from THAT corner would hurt far worse than any tossback Scagg or even Loki could unthinkingly throw at her.

Bizzy watched the little girl and her gaurdian come out of their house. She'd been too frightened to go in and help with the small battle and after Scagg had taken over, figured she wasn't need.

The rabbit Hatchi' had watched Gee fall to the ground and not get up. Frightened beyond her wildest beliefs Bizzy turned on her heals and ran.

Nika wasn't sure how long he'd been running, searching for Ice who appeared to have just dissapeared. He was getting tired. He'd checked all of the buildings and gone back for a double check. Ice was gone... It was strange and he shivered involuntatily as he turned the corner of the village and faced the place where only a little while before Silva had stood, choking Io.

Gee lay on the ground and he stopped mid-step. Was she breathing? What had happened? Blood lay on the ground and Nika swore that his own breath stopped for a moment.

As far as she could tell, G_E was fine. Slamming into Silva and not causing much damage, she was sorry to say, had knocked the air out of her. She had tried desperately to get her breath back, in order to help Scagg, but it took a little more time than she wanted.

Amazed, the small woman watched as Loki teleported Silva. Deja'vu? Hadn't the fox boy done that with Cinder's wristcom? If G_E remembered she'd ask Ice about getting everybody one of those. Especailly the children.

She watched the others carry Io into a house and she felt relieved. Atleast Io was safe. Unbeleivably sleepy and completely drained, G_E fell asleep. Hoping that Nika had gone to find Bizzy like she asked, and that both were safe.

Fauve cracked an eye... Shiva's voice in her mind waking her up.. she put a hand up to her mask and yawned... she pulled her head off of Chae and blinked blearily.. she looked at the two of them and got slowly to her feet, moving over she checked to make sure Io was alright before nodding to Chae and heading out of the room.. She needed to be at home with Merci right now.. she needed to let her guardian know that she still cared about her.. and she needed a bath.. After all, Shiva and Chae would need to be left alone, they didn't need her hanging around and making things harder..

She stepped out of Io's house and looked up at the pre dawn light that was painting the sky. She shrugged and gave up on really sleeping. She stopped dead when she saw Kasai, Merci, Cinder and Galilee all on porch of her house. She walked up, looking tired, she waved at Cinder and looked at the masks 'Is everything alright?'

Merci grimaced and didn't say anything to Fauve.. who was ignoring her again.. She just fumed silently...
