Star walked to Ari's bed side and sat on the edge. "Ari, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel unwanted or something. It's hard for me, I know you understand. It's probably harder for you now, knowing he has a chance. I just knew mine was gone. But that's the thing Ari, he has a chance!" she rambled. She stopped for a moment. "We don't have to talk if you don't want to."

Ari calmed down a little. "Oh, Star...I wasn't even thinking about that..." She said through a very stuffy nose. "I'm a horrible person, aren't I? At least my dad's still here..." She sat up, crawled to the edge of the bed, and firmly embraced Star. "I'm sorry." She whispered, dissolving into tears.

Star returned the embrace. "I know." Her silent tears joined Ari's.

A few moments later, Ari seemed finally completely cried out. She ran her hand over her face and looked at Star. "Can...can I ask you a really big favor...I won't ask you to tell me yes or no before you know what it is, and I'll understand if it's too hard for you..."

Star wiped her face. "Of course you can. What is it?"

"There's got to be something I can do. I mean, it's not a wizarding illness, cancer, but don't you think...don't you think there might be some sort of potion that would cure him?"

Star thought for a moment. "I'm not sure...." she thought a bit more. "It would be very rare, if it even exists." she continued, mumbling. A look of thick determination appeared on her face. "If you're asking me to help you find one, or make one, I will help you."

A smile broke on Ari's face. It was more of a grimace than a smile, but still, it was a smile. She once again embraced her friend. "Oh, Star! Thank you so much!" She wiped her eyes on her bedsheet. "I'm going to the library to do some research." She said, getting up. Her face set, she grabbed an empty bag and began to walk out of the dorm.

"Do you need help with that or do you want some alone time looking?" Star called after Ari.

"Help would be nice." She said, pausing at the dorm door and turning to face Star. "I don't think I'll be able to carry enough books, for one."

Star smiled. She hopped up, off the bed and walked towards Ari. "Off we go then!" ((meet you there.))

Lilli yawned and stretched. She thought it was time to go to bed. She walked up the stairs and into her dormitory.

Star came down from her dormitory. It was late into the night and she wanted to come and think by the fire. She sat down in a big poufy chair and positioned herself comfortably. She stared into the flames.

Lilli was walking down from the dormitory. It was fairly close to midnight, she thought, but she couldn't sleep. She was surprised to see she wasn't the only one who was having difficulties. She sat in her favorite chair by the fire and smiled at the acquaintance. "Hey, Star," she said. "Having trouble sleeping as well?"

Star nodded blankly. She was silent for a few minutes then realized the question. "Oh gosh, sorry Lilli! I guess I'm a little out of it. Yes, no sleep."
