Niah twisted and sighed. She had only been able to sleep a few minutes. She was afraid to sleep for longer in case Pharaoh decided to pull another dream on her again. She knew he was upset because she had forced herself to wake up. She looked beside her and smiled. Alex was out. Gently she moved a lock of his hair out of his eyes and slipped out of the bed careful not to wake him up. She really needed that drink now. She walked to the kitchen and saw Aura sitting there with Eclipse. Niah sighed with relief to see her there and not in some chains wiht marks all over her body. She said, "Good morning Aura, Clippy. How are you?" She walked over to the bar and poured herself a glass of wine hating that her hand shook when she poured it. She watched Aura over the rim of her glass and wondered if what Pharaoh had said was true. But she had been acting weird yesterday as well. Niah decided a test to find out. "How are you this evening my Lady?"

Niah once again felt the feeling of not belonging. This was ridiculous. Aura belonged her more than anyone else. And why hadn't Aura jumped down her throat about the Lady? She hated anything that reminded her of her High Priestess days and the title did just that. Well Pharaoh must have been telling the truth oddly enough. He forced the dream Aura to say that he had locked away her memories and rearranged some things but Niah hadn't been sure if that was true or not. Now she knew. She took a sip and smiled when the familiarness of the wine flowed through her. "Aurahkah I know you feel strange right now and...I know why. This may be hard to believe but I was told in a dream."

Niah smiled at her. She sounded so much like a lost little girl and from what Niah knew of Aura's past it wasn't far from the truth. "Yes I do know what's wrong with you but it's a little hard to believe. See this Pharaoh although I don't know his name has been 'playing' with me lately. He comes in dreams and forces me to do things. I think he decided to do the same to you but instead of acutally hurting you he locked away all your memories and becasue he's evil he decided to change things around so you believe you're still young and a High Priestess. So now you know things but you don't. And I'm sure it's very frustrating for you." Niah noticed the bandage. "What did you do?"

Niah listened to Aura her eyes widening. "A Pharaoh down in your basement. That's an interesting thing to have. Most people have old furniture maybe a few bugs...but you have a dead Pharaoh. I've heard stranger things. I wonder though...." she stopped for a moment and took a sip of her wine. "Did this Pharaoh torture you?" If the answer was yes then he was the same Pharaoh as in my dream. If not...I'm back to square one. But I don't know that name...adn he knew me. Someting is missing here. But what? Then she pulled herself out of her thoughts. She gestured to Aura's hand. "Let me heal you before you bleed all over your floor. THe other you hates that."

She was silent for a moment before offering her hand up to Niah. "Eclipse says he did. All I really have to go on is Eclipse. He said that the Pharaoh by that name, caught me then beat, raped, and tortured me for months." Again she slipped into silence, biting down on her bottom lip. "I'm sorry I can't give you more than that...I can only remember a name..." Aura then turned her eyes to Bastet, offerig the familair face a smile. "We get into trouble often I take it?"

Bastet faked like she had to think about it, like she was not sure then said rather flatly. "Yes, that is how you should take it. You two get in trouble a lot, and where are these men I hear about that are supposed to protect you guys anyway." She shook her head in mock disapproval then let what was sai really sink in. "That seems enough reason to kill or torture him to me."

Then looking to Nailah she offered up a possible answer, "He did not want to be the same person anymore, it is common now.

Niah thought for a moment and then sipped her wine. Halfway through she choked. Why hadn't she realized it before? She didn't recognize the form of the name but she might know him by another. He obviously knew her and Aura for that matter. So logically he would have been Pharaoh when Bastet was alive as well. She turned to Bastet and said, "Pharaoh Kheperkheperu-re...what else did he go by? Do you know?"

Niah choked again. "I know that name! Ay was the son of a b***h who tried to hunt me down after I was poisoned. He was Pharaoh?" She looked at Aura and bit her lip. "Because of him I had to disappear from my home. Of course without him I never would have met Nadai but that's a whole other thing. I should have known...Ay you son of a b***h. Come back from the grave to haunt me...."
