@Win: You should, you should~ D'you think ol' Sparks would like it here, though? I dunno what all series and junk he's into.

General: Wewt~ First character tossed up. A bit more . . . um . . . basic than I normal go for build-wise? I normally try to go for pretty unique. But! That should come later along, neh? When new skills start popping up and specific leveling and the like, eh?

1st Question: Is there any problem with us rounding our word counts down? I tend to round to down to the 50. Never rounding up mind you, just down. Because Im weirdly obsessive and dont like bleed over. But I noticed that mods were actually doing word counts on the updates so I didnt know if we had the option to round down or if it needed to be exact. If it does, no big deal.

2nd Question: We can only fight 2 Passive monsters per post correct? That Im fine with, the mob one confuses me though. Shouldnt it be, "You have no choice but to fight at least four per post"? Since right now it seems to say you have to fight exactly four. That doesnt make sense given there is a quest to kill five, which means you fight eight total but only five count towards the quest for some reason. When you could instead just... fight one additional one right away.

Okay let me start by saying I know this is the Beta and Im not trying to force my ideas on anyone. Im just offering these up free for consideration by the Mods as things that it might be kind of cool to see in the future. Just ideas and since the Idea Dump looked almost... official? I didnt want to put them there:

[Advancement]
There doesnt seem to be much in the way of incentive to actually level yet. This is something that you guys are probably working on and are annoyed that Im bringing up since this guild is in Beta. Its just that currently there is nothing stated around the Guild as to what happens when you get say... Acrobatics to Rank E or D or anything higher than F. So just some details as to what happens to your abilities, especially fighting abilities. I assume there will be more fighting techniques later on that we can access. And that they grow stronger. Since we can only max five techniques though its kind of weird to think of spending points on one now, especially if it doesnt grow with us.

And item growth is another thing. I dont know the rough scale for items attack power increasing but Im going to go out on a limb and assume something strange, or suggest it. For every rank up an item goes through, its base attack doubles. Since 20 is the highest base attack at F. That means: F = 20. E = 40. D = 80. C = 160. B = 320. A = 640. S = 1,280. Special named items might have special stats that are above these, but for the most basic store items or whatever, I feel like that is a good starting place. Consider Kirato's weapon in the anime, it has around 700 Power and he is right in the proper level range for A Rankers. So it actually makes some sense and is easy to follow. That is also where any suggestions below get their base power from.

Finally, there needs to be a way to level more skills [at least like... passives and non-combat]. Not just to get more, although yes to that as well, but to actually level more than what you can potentially now. I dont know how, maybe you can keep grinding skills up past your max level of 100? So you dont get stats or anything but you can keep getting skill points. But in the show it is theoretically possible, at least it sounds like, to max out every skill in the game if you put in enough time. And there are supposedly almost infinite skills. Basically since we can only have five it seems rather limiting? Perhaps if there was a way to switch out what skills you were currently using at the time? Put a cool-down on it but you essentially have two "builds" you can swap between? Otherwise it seems a little strange. Because it makes it hard to justify spending points on certain things if you can never really be good at anything you didnt start out with.

[Additional Weapons]
Everyone wants to be a special little snow flake. Or at least a lot of people do. Thats hard when youre limited to a relatively small number of options. But its also realistic for an MMO setting. Still, I think that at some point it could be expanded, and Im sure you guys already had ideas for this. If Im repeating anything or making a fool out of myself, just ignore it. But I felt like I wanted to try and be constructive and get my opinions out there. I think it would be awesome if you introduced quests to unlock special Weapon types. Just like how it talked about Katana as a rare type that was unlocked, it wasnt unique, just not a starter option. Here are some ideas below:

___________ 「Wooden Shield」
______________ Rank: F
______________ Placement: Off-Hand Weapon Slot
______________ Type: Heavy
______________ Armor: 10
______________ Defense: 10
______________ Durability: ∞
______________ Weight: 8
______________ Special Requirement: Cannot be used with two-handed weapons. Awarded after completing the quest "Guard the Guards" on Level 5. [A quest where you defend some of the npc guards transporting something through a monster heavy area. There are definitely shields right at the start of the game in the anime. Its remarked upon as strange by other characters that Kirato doesnt use one. I think someone else mentioned really wanting one here, as a tank I know its something I was surprised to not see.]

___________ 「Bare Knuckles」 ▪▫ Martial Arts Fist Weapon
______________ Rank: E
______________ Range: Short
______________ Type: Blunt
______________ Attack: 10
______________ Durability: ∞
______________ Weight: 0
______________ Special Requirement: Awarded after completing the quest "Fists of Fury" on Level 15. [This would be a quest, in all likelihood, where the user has to fight without a weapon and get use to using their fists as their main fighting ability. Not magic, but something very different. Incredibly high speed, probably even faster than dagger, but offers none of the protection of a weapon.]

___________ 「Amateur Throwing Knives」 ▪▫ Throwing Blade Weapon
______________ Rank: E
______________ Range: Long
______________ Type: Piercing
______________ Attack: 10
______________ Durability: ∞
______________ Weight: 2
______________ Special Requirement: Awarded after completing the quest "Bullseye" on Level 15. [There are a variety of throwing weapons shown in the show itself. It would be nice to have some range here. Bows are another possibility but they were not represented in the show while throwing needles/weapons are.]

1st Question:
I don't see any problem with it. Just state that in your Updates that you round down to the nearest 50.

2nd Question:
You may only fight 2 Passive monsters per post. Correct.
The mobbing monsters, you must fight all 4 in one post, regardless if they are passive or not. I think I'll just edit that quest to where you have to kill 4. It makes much more sense that way. Where did you get the number 8 from?

There is a quest to kill five. The way that Mobbing is currently phrased it sounds like you have to fight exactly four. So you cant fight/kill three or five. It has to be four. Which means to get the five kills you need for the quest you have to fight eight. Since you fight four one post and four your second post. I was asking if it was possible to fight more than four, like if four was suppose to be the minimum.

Ah I see I see - w-

Any more than 4 monsters wouldn't be possible given your characters level, and the level of the monsters. If you think of it in terms of an actual game, if your fighting eight monsters at once, that are the same level or near the same level as you... your pretty much f***ed lol. In terms of SAO, more or less the same thing. When any of the characters get out numbered with the exception of Kirito they get jacked up. So no, strictly 4 Mob type monsters per post. And the good thing about that quest is that it has repeatability, so it can be done more than once.

Does this answer your question?
:3

And yes, I have noted your Suggestions that you made earlier, I'll be posting them in the Mod Forum for review. For future reference, since we don't want to spam this thread with Suggestions, Ideas, etc, please PM the Captain or a Crew member with your ideas. We'll be more than glad to go over them.

Fair enough. I had no intention of fighting any Mobbing opponents until I had a party of at least a couple other people backing me up so that makes sense. And it doesnt bother me that its multiple posts to fight them. It just seemed odd that the quest wanted you to kill five when you have to kill eight no matter what. Mostly just not sure why its not kill eight.

And yeah Ill be sure to just PM someone with future suggestions. Im probably not going to make too many cause I know this guild is in the Beta and Im sure you guys have tons of your own ideas and I know it can be a little annoying trying to please everyone. haha
