Komet 'haste' rush still flowed causing him not to notice the small patch of mud in between a set of trees causing his chocobo to slip forward. In an attempt to keep control, Komet clutched to his poor chocobo as they slid forward.

((I just woke up, and decided to check the forum. Talk about perfect timing. o_O))
Seeing his opponent still hot on his trail despite the speed of his own mount Megido gets desperate. He attempts to cast haste, but fails horribly, and only succeeds in distracting his chocobo. He vows to study magic harder.

Apparently Megido is retarded, because he tries to cast Haste AGAIN, right after just screwing it up. Again he fails, again his ride is distracted, again the shame causes him to be slooooooow.

As Komet and his chocobo slid uncontrollably, Komet's patience started to run thin. Seeing his opponent slow down he clenched tight and cast demi which seemed to suck him in and thrust him forward. Steadying and smoothing out, his chocobo gained control while Komet slouch over dizzy after taking the main blow from his demi.

He giggles to himself as he cuts ahead.

((Ok, after getting my roll I feel a little better. xD))
He growls as Komet passes him, his anger causing his chocobo to pick up a little speed. While they were so close behind the other racer the wind resistance is much lower. Megido's chocobo regains a little energy, and when the right moment presents itself they zip on by again.

Proud of how the last draw turned out, Komet attempted a Draw>Cast. Focusing on Medigo, he drew and and started to glow as he cast. Only it was a fail. Komet started to think of different measures...

Megido feels the urge to turn around, and shoot a fireball at his persistent opponent, but holds it back, remembering he sucks at magic, and would probably light his chocobos tail feathers on fire.
