Deidra forced a small laugh and shook her head. "Nothing is wrong, It's just the wine making me sentmental..." She remover herself from Tasuki's arms and wandered about the small hall, running her hands along the frames of a few pictures on the walls.

Slowly Alex got comfertable around Sage's mom and they where able to coverse rather well. She found that Sage's dad worked out of town and hardly was ever home and his siblings where at his aunt's place for the week. Though Sage's mom seemed to be dropping hints constantly about knowing more then what she was saying.
She tried not to fidget so much, though she was invited to a family gathering that saturday. Looking at Sage he smiled softly and she accepted relieved that not only did this mean his mother accepted her, but she also had a very valid excuse for avoid Ash's party.

Sage was glad that they got along, though he was a little annoyed with his mother's hints. He resisted the urge to groan and smack his head everytime she did it, but at the same time, the reaction ALex had was quiet cute.
When diner was finished Sage said he should probably take Alex home before it got to late. She nodded and gave his mom a warm smile thanking her for the meal and left out the front door with Sage just behind her.
He took her hand in his pulling her to walk next to him as they made their way to his car. "The family gathering will be your introduction to the clan." Sage told her quietly.
"I was wondering if she had ment clan by 'family', anything I should do to prepare? Special dress or come as I wish?"
He smiled, "either one, up to you"
She chuckled as slid into the passenger seat. Sage took her hand in his as he pulled out of the drive and headed back into town.

I'm just a little tired from all that's happened today." She walked over to her bedroom door and glanced over at Tasuki. "I suppose we should head in for the night before anything else happens..."

CuteDarkAndDeadly Dawn twitched as she felt his attention burn into her and flinched when he approached her and rested a hand on her cheek. She swallowed her shame and raised her chin up slightly to look up at him. Her eyes dropped to the scar on his neck and she winced as she imagined part of her throat torn out. Bane's eyes flickered behind the mask as he sensed her mouth twitch with the suppressed wince and he shrugged and covered the scar back up. Do not worry about it. What has not killed me has only made me stronger and wiser. He felt a small smile creep across his lips and a feeling of compassion and something else engulfed him. So this is the daughter you wanted me to protect, Kage? he silently asked his long dead friend and shook his head again and remove his hand from Dawn's cheek before turning away.
Dawn felt a blush creep across her cheeks and didn't like it. "Well, I suppose this is goodnight..." she muttered aloud and folded her arms across her chest again. "I certainly hope we c-" She was cut off as Bane turned to her again and pulled his mask over his head. Dark crimson eyes glinted amusedly down at Dawn while a few dark strands of his bangs peeked out from under the cover of the mask. Dawn's eyes widened and she stared into Bane's eyes as his low laughter echoed throughout her mind. "Why are you laughing?" she demanded, growing irritated when she could find no reason for laughter. Bane's eyes glittered as he replied. Because, even though I cannot truly see you, I can sense your ill-disguised wonder at seeing my face and in your heart, you think I am handsome.Dawn glared at Bane, but her anger faded as she thought over what he just said. "Wait. What do you mean 'cannot truly see me'? Are you blind?" Bane raised a brow as he faced at Dawn. As a matter of fact, Lady Enyart, I am. Imagine being born sightless, it may teach you about being thankful for what you have right now. End of discussion. With these words, he walked away from Dawn and disappeared into the shadows of the willow trees.
