Lots of magic stuff seems to need "The blood of *insert thing here*" I figure it's just a matter of time before I'll need "The blood of a mage" or "THe blood of a comrade" or "The blood of a blonde" or something.

1) I've yet to be killed due to the lack of a material component. Mostly, it's just that I like to bring down large objects in top of my opponents, and I forget about the whole "crushing me too" bit.
2) Yes, magic calls for it... But you hate magic, so why would you, specifically, need it?

I can imagine lots of things. It's just that blood has a limited number of appealing uses. Magic, transfusion, vampire bait... And that's about it.
