OK, I got one for ya', I know I saw a Superman comic where Mr. Mxyztplk showed Superman some vision of the future in which he had a daughter. I think it was no more than eight months ago when I saw it. I can't figure it out on Google or DC's page. Any help?

That's just another old superstition about vampires. Water is considered powerfully and purely magical, and so vampires could not consciously cross it. I've heard tales that sometimes wizards and other magic-users were affected by this in the same way, but I believe that was even less true. I was going to research it more thouroughly in one of Astral's old libraries, but it's over on the other side of the MSU swimming pool and I just don't feel like it today.

Anyway, unfortunately this one superstition about vampires that is simply not true. More amusing to me is the old one about if you want to escape a vampire chasing you, throw a handful of pennies, or birdseed or something similar over your shoulder. Supposedly, the vampire would be forced to stop whatever he was doing until he had painstakingly counted every single coin or grain, do to some innate sense of mystic obsessive-compulsive disorder in vampires. Of course, no definitive evidence has said this is true either, but I've sometimes wondered whether or not this was the inspiration for the Seseme Street character, The Count.

you're BOTH right, however flowing water does have certain detouring effects to certain demonic entities, it's more truely effective with concentrated water flows, like rivers, streams, super soakers etc, works best with holy water, shake before opening to make sure to get all the holy throughout the water. Otherwise it settles at the bottom.

Also, it has to do with vampires needing to sleep in the soil of their native land, simply because of the length of the journey, and how long it would take to cross, he'd have to sleep, and he must sleep in his coffin, surrounded by dirt from his homeland, or else face certain death.

So if we get Holy enough, can we, like, bless the entire water cycle, that way vampires would be killed by oceans, rain, bottled water, Super Soakers, etc.?
