"Yes, if you don't mind Timiki." Vitae said as he gathered up Olan's scrap wood. "We can use this to make a fire in the winter months." He took it to the house and set it beside it. Then he went to Olan again, "It looks nice."

Olan had just finished one corner of the mattress frame. "You think so? It doesn't look like anything special to me." As he got to work on another corner, Timiki had returned with more feathers. Still not nearly enough to fill the mattress, but there were a lot.

"Maybe not but it is still nice." Vitae started to make another corner with Olan. It didn't take long for him to finish up another corner. "Here we go. We've finished another."

It was starting to get dark, and Olan feared what would come out in the night, so he was in a bit of a rush. He never liked being outside during the night. That was when he would hear wolves howl, and now he remembered why he had been afraid of them all these years.

Vitae finished another corner and looked at Olan, "Do you want to stop for today? You're scared... I can tell..." He slowly stood and stretched. Then he called out to Timiki, "Come back Timiki!" He shouted as he held out his hand for the other, "We'll finish tomorrow. For now we'll use the leaves as our bed."

"Y-yeah, that sounds like a good idea..." Olan agreed as he accepted the hand and stood. He glanced nervously into the forest, only looking away when he saw Timiki emerge with more feathers in tow. Terrible memories in there...

Vitae walked with the other into the house and went to the bed. He looked at the other and kissed him on the lips. "I love you Olan..." He said before slowly falling asleep for the night.

Olan found himself quite speechless. He had forgotten for a moment that they were lovers, that they were married. Heck, even now he still wasn't used to it. After all, he had thought Vitae was nothing but an illusion before, and the god very much disliked him. How could they have fallen for each other when that was how their relationship started out?

"Stranger things have happened." Eros said as he descended into the house, "A man had fallen in love with his mother and killed his father and produced children. Something you two have yet to do." He said as he glared at Olan, "And I know you can't make children but you still have yet to perform coitus. It is making me mad! Yet the council says I have no right to force you two to..." The little cherub god sat down on the ground. He was unarmed at the moment.

"Oh, not this again," Olan muttered. "Can't you bother another couple? Surely we're not the only couple who have yet to consummate their marriage." He was starting to get fed up with Eros' coming to pressure him into coitus with Vitae.

"No, I actually don't because most people consummate their marriages." Eros crossed his arms and pouted, "DO IT AND GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY!!!"
"Shut up Eros!!!" Vitae glared at the cherub god and then went back to sleep.
"Fine." He flew away again, back into Olympus.

Once Eros was gone, Olan once again tried to go to sleep. He wondered how much more of this he could take before he lost his mind. Didn't he have enough madness for about a hundred years or so?

Vitae turned over and wrapped his arms around his husband. He held the other close and rested his head on his chest, "Nnnnn..." He slept silently and pressed his body against the other's

Olan's mind went blank right at that moment, and he was once more content. Even if he had to deal with angry gods at every moment, he would probably be okay with Vitae being there with him.

Vitae grabbed his pillow and hit Olan lightly with it, "Quit thinking so loud...." The god put the pillow back and then the god resumed sleeping.
