Hey, I got something to ask. Firstly:Why does it require twice the price of replenishment to upgrade a torpedo stock when, if you have the required torpedo launchers, you could simply load them on the ship? Further more, what does the pricing account for? permit to use the weapon? computer programing? Launcher configuration?... I mean, I think that if a ship needs to upgrade its launchers in order to use a torpedo, don't you think that should be the requirement? I personally think that the replenish price should be the buy and refill pricing. Unless you plan on upgrading the tubes all together, which these torpedoes do not require. Secondly: restricted torpedoes should have the same thing done for them as well. If a ship, like the Galaxy class star ship is the only one whom can equip a certain type of torpedo then, obviously other vessels would not be able to buy it so, people know this as a fact and don't go for it. Simply put, this is like the first argument, if a ship can already equip a torpedo stock with out needing a torpedo tube upgrade, then whats the point of the upgrade price? I just need some clarification since, I saw no reason for the upgrade price to be there. Photon Torpedo Upgrade Type VII Photon Torpedoes - 115 Damage per Weapon 11,500 Credits to Upgrade - 5,750 Replenish The Type VII Photon torpedoes make use of even higher quantities of matter and anti matter in their reaction chambers to increase damage yield even further without compromising torpedo size.

easy answer is because he says so Quote: (I would like to point out that sensors are out and you need sensors to go to warp other wise you might crash into something. You also need navigational shields. A pebble can make a hole in their hull the size of a rock, at that speed. Doesn't it seem suicidal to go to warp with two critical systems down?... Nvm, they have force fields in place and minimal navigation... lets just go with that. since there sensors have just gone down they can use the information that they have in there memory banks to compute a course with a very low proberbilty course of impact. i mean a planet not suddenly going to jump in there way now is it. and there shield emitter are down not there navigation array which is what is needed for warp speed. most ships travel at warp with out there shield up. and if you read my post you will see a said to take cargo to reimburse for any damage done . not just becuase your there. the 30000 is your reward for the misssion . since you took no damage there no reason for you to take anything. i only posted that in there as since im not a mod i dont want to actually cause any damage to the ship, with out at least paying for the repairs. if ryugi overrules me so be it but can you please return that money and s4 can you only take enougth to cargo to repair your vessel i may not have made it clear in my post so i apoligies if this is just a mixup

1.) that doesn't make sense with out a proper explanation. "Because he says so."
2.) I fixed the "error", even though I thought you said I would get a free load. confused

Man, I leave for a few hours and, once again, Balvear has to comment on SOMETHING. xd
The upgrade prices are there because I don't want people paying nothing for something that could benefit them greatly in combat.
Secondly, the "Upgrade Pricing," as you say, is more expensive because the launchers have to be tweaked in order to handle the more powerful plasma exhaust or slightly different configuration of the warhead, which generally requires a replacement of a very integrated part of the Starship's systems. And that takes alot of work, thus, lots of credits. I also did not want everyone upgrading to higher torpedoes too quickly, and wanted every upgrade to feel like an accomplishment.
Being able to trick your ship out super quickly just wouldn't be as entertaining, and would lover overall interest for involvement.
As for the replenish cost, torpedoes can be replicated (as far as canon is concerned). However, in order to create a more interesting atmosphere for combat and to make sure people don't just spam torpedoes, I added in the replenish cost, so that you can get more torpedoes for a cost from a station that can replicate them (DS12 or the Ferengi Outpost).
And, if that isn't good enough for you, then, as Kalinin said...
"Because I said so." And that's just the way it is.

Your explanation was enough, don't lower yourself to, "Because I said so". xd
EDIT: I also posted a mission call while I wait for the kesgrave to be repaired at DS 12. Which, I can safely say, is the end of that mission. I want to go help out the ship near Bakrus.

Kalinin,
EACH person that takes part in the mission, no matter how small, is entitled a reward UP TO 30,000 Credits (and whatever you feel the need to add on as a bonus as far as cargo or whatever).
UP TO - Meaning that you can give them less if you feel their participation does not warrant the full 30,000.

When I got back I consulted Star Fleet from Deep Space 12 and got the go, to come back. I never meant to leave abruptly. If you want an apology then, I am sorry that I left too soon. Please forgive me.
