"Eclipse, I'm sorry for what I did. I dont want forgiveness, just not to be forgotten. Memories will be all I am." His head tilted back and his eyes went skyward while his hands lifted outward to either side of him, the slow rush of power flowing through him and his own energy diffusing around. The area began to swirl as bits of reality folded in the presence of a strong and willing soul, his very essence dividing out into everything and his image being lost slowly.

Saradin, standing next to Eclipse now, suddenly tightened his grip on Soulforge's handle. Neither the wielder nor the sword believed this right, but it wast for the best. "Eclipse..." he whispered, "...dont think poorly of me for this."

Azure eyes slided to first the copy. "You won't be. Be assured of that. In this place, even for the brief true time you spent in the manor just beyond this realm, a memory of you will ring strong. And it won't be looked down upon either, despite all that's happened." His wings twitched themselves again in agitation. Then with almost a nod he looked over and up to the Saradin that stood beside him. "I don't my friend...I don't...If I've learned anything it's that sometimes...we must all do things that we dread...sometimes even regret or loath ourselves for." He leaned his head against the hand that was gripping all too tightly to Soulforge's hilt, offering himself up as some semblance of comfort.

The brush of Eclipses fur against his hand made Saradin hold for an additional second, but no longer and soon he couldnt feel the wolf beside him any longer as he sprung forward, Soulforge flying free and bursting to life.

In the half merged state, the copy's body was unstable and frail. The back of his ribs shattered easily with a frightening snap, as Soulforge ran through his body. The blade's tip emerged just past his breastlate, lifting his body slightly as the upcoming thrust gouged into him. He couldnt even gasp in response, and rather than responding in pain, he acted in anger. "Betrayal Saradin!?"

"I had to stop you from consuming yourself. We'll all take the risk involved to prevent it. Stay beside us, and maintain your vigilance." Even as black blood dripped down from the deadly wound, and the azure spike remained lodged within the body cavity, the copy continued to disperse, his body going limp and beginning to crumple away to dust.

Wings flared in surprise and held out aloft, not even twitching the slightest. He let loose a soft growl as he felt like he was stuck on two sides of the fence. One moment Saradin was telling him to go with the flow, the next Saradin himself was paddling against the river's current. "Saradin! Listen to me...if you can still preserve him then do so...if not then let go and leave it all alone, withdraw your sword and step back. Don't drag him back half alive and force him back to full existence if he does not wish it so. You'll only end up torturing yourself as well..."

"He's already dead." Saradin winced as the corpse splintered into only so much dust, and let Soulforge hang loosely at his side. The moment the last grains of dust had settled, a sudden shockwave rippled out from his point, smoothing over the entire plane. Everything in the area was wiped clean, the shades that hung on the edge of sight felt peace in the moment before they were rolled over into the mass, becomeing only a part of the will that quelled this place. The blue fire of Soulforge died and Saradin turned to Eclipse with a couple of tears in his eyes. "I think I did it." The small phoenix and minute design etches engraved on Soulforge were stained black. "I've took another in captivity, at the cost of his life. Does the end justifies the mean this time?"

"You tell me Saradin..." He gave his wings a flap and then folded his wings back in slowly. Then even slower he padded over to a seemingly distraught Saradin. Any other time he would of taken hold of either the man's wrist or Soulforge...but this time he just left him alone but stood within reach of him. Had he ever seen Saradin cry? He couldn't really recall, but he had seen him like this before, and it always disturbed him. So there in the darkness, two shadows facing each other, Eclipse let his ears drop and crept closer, sitting at Saradin's feet, practically on the man's boots, and gave a soft almost whimpering sound up to him.

"Tonight is the first time I've ever sacrificed my ideals for the results. Worse yet, I willingly subjected to killing a confused and noble individual in a barbaric act. I dont intend this to happen again. And neither does he." Planting Soulforge in the soil and taking the time to examine the new markings, Saradin drew nearer to Eclipse. A faint and very familiar energy was beginning to emmenate from the sword, the cynicism that the personality used to carry washed away as its sentience was barely maintained by being bound while still being merged with the very plane. "Were done Eclipse. Lets go." While his voice maintained the same devestated tone, he went and picked up his sword again and sheathed it slowly.

"Damn you Saradin..." Seemed he had pushed himself over that proverbial edge that he always spoke of being on but no one ever believed he was. Ears pinned themselves back now and a growl escaped his throat as he raked the claws of one forepaw across the ground. He grabbed Saradin's arm in his jaws and practically dragged the man from the dark plane, not offering him the chance to be alone there. But he had brought him out so that they were both standing in the confines of Saradin's own room behind the privacy of a closed door. If anyone saw Saradin at this particular moment in this particular state, the wolf felt that just too many questions would be asked. Dropping his arm he merely stood in front of him, looking up at him.

"Privacy. I suppose its something I need right now." Saradin said as he sat down on his bed. "Well Eclipse, I need to know what you think here. Was this the best way out? Did I kill someone unecassarily tonight?" Falling backward onto the matress, he only stared up and didnt move. "Im sure I'll get over this. The biggest fright is that he was me. Or what I was afraid of being... or... somethng..." His sentence lost its ending as he fell into the thought of it, unsure of how to make it seem like hed recover.

The wolf was pacing the floor of his room, watching the bangles on his forepaws move with his steps as he thought. His posture was stiffened, ears pinned, wings held tight and tail motionless. "What I think...I can barely fathom the bonds and thought processes between you and your copy. However...if you'd rather have me tell it to your from a different perspective, I can. Firstly...he gave himself up to the cause Saradin. He agreed upon it. You only helped in the means of the cause." He was trying to desperately put this right. Stopping his pacing he turned concerned azure eyes on Saradin. Sure his words said hope, but he didn't look it. Having no other plan in his mind, Eclipse turned into the one thing that seemed to put Saradin at ease...at least it did the last time he was like this. And that last time, Eclipse himself was entirely different from what he was now. Time to revert back to common house dog, and something more managable. Taking a spilt second to drain off Aurahkah own powers he envoked himself into his miniature state. Approaching the bed without words he nudged Saradin's hand with a cold nose then laid his head on the edge of the bed and simply watched him, giving a soft bark to him.

Saradin's head tilted just enough to lay eyes on the object that gently nudged him, then had to stifle a laugh. "You dont have any shame do you?" He said, picking himself up and lifting the miniaturized Eclipse up into his arms, petting his fur quietly. "But, thats one thing youre good at, cheering people up. Thank you for everything." He leaned back against the wall on the far side of his bed, stroking the fur between Eclipse's wings and started to drift off to sleep.

If he could physically smile he would of. Yes, he could put shame aside if he needed to, especially if it was for the sake of Saradin and everything that was connected to him. Eclipse made himself all too comfortable, resting his head in the crook of Saradin's arm, little wings slacking themselves for the benefit of comfort of them both. No...no shame in this at all.

BloodMoonNight

Aodh had been sitting in the shadows of the stairs for quite a while, and without knowing it he had fallen asleep. He awoke to the sounds of people talking in the room he had been so intent on watching the night before. Angry that he let his guard down, he jumped in the air and climbed onto one of the tair rafters to keep a better watch, a bird's eye view of the mysterious room. Once again he saw the golden skinned girl now sitting on the other side of the door. What was wrong with her? He thought. He really wanted to know what was wrong, but he was suspicious of the people that moved around in the room. He could hear heavy breathing, and could see shadows moving around. What was he going to do?

For the third time, Circi had fallen asleep without knowing it. She dreamt of peaceful places, she dreamt of happy days for the first time in a long time. Her sleep was so peaceful she never wanted to stir. When she heard some movement inside the room where the wolf had warned her not to goin, she moved to the side of the door, away from the opening, and laid her back against the wall. She closed her eyes once again, and begged for the blissful dreams to return. They did. Dreams of sunny days, dreams of her brothers fussing and messing with her. Dreams of memories long since old. Across her face, a smile formed and for the first time in weeks, she slept fully.

Aodh watched the young woman sit behind the door. She did not move, she did not seem to be alive.
Was something wrong with her? he had to find out, it was pulling at him. he jumped down from the rafters with grace, and landed like a cat, without a sound. He fixedhis hair, a small habit he had from long ago. He carefully walked over to the girl to see if everything was okay. His first anouncing movements since he entered the manor. Her blonde hair was still, and she had this awkward smile on her face. He stood in the door way, his shadow on the wall, not careing who saw him in the room. He picked up the girl, and dispite his weak looking body, he was rather strong. he carried her down the hall, wondering where to put her. He followed a south corridor and ended up at an empty looking room. He slid the doors open and entered the room. Inside the room was blank except for a small bed, in which he laid her down and put a cover sheet over her to keep her warm. He checked to see if she was feverish, and she wasn't. Then he lleft the room in search for a bathroom to get a pale of water and a rag for her when she wakes.
