Zahar hopped out of bed. She hadn't yet started to sleep when the other masks started calling for help. 'Kataio outside they need us! I will be with you directly.' Zahar trundled down the stairs as fast as she could.

Kataio shook her head refocusing on the real world, hearing the shouts of, "We need some help out here!", she stood and ran to the door leaving it ajar as she ran outside and past Bizzy. She had been off in her memories and hadn't been paying attention until Zahar called her. Even in such dark light Kataio's silver eyes gleamed and she soon saw Merci` heading towards the group including Silva, Io, and Gee. She ran calling her sword to her hand as she went just incase it came to that.

Zahar muttered and stumbled a bit as she ran after Kataio. 'It is too dark. How can you all see to help?' The little girl looked around stopping only a little away from the house to look back at Bizzy. She didn't want to go alone any further. Zahar was still a bit wary of the dark, like she told the boys, but this was more important. Both her and Kataio were some way away from Merci` and they needed to act fast. 'Boys! Galilee! Help us!'

Shiva watched Nika run off, and had some running of her own to do. Turning abruptly before Chaeval could see her, she took a deep breath and concentrated.

Her form flickered and blinked out briefly, reappearing back near where she had seen Io and the man threatening her.

There was a slight smile on her lips as she reappeared where she had wanted to, as her eyes tried to pierce the area around them and discern the situation.

*Anger* She mused softly. *I can feel anger here...*

And as she suddenly knew, a little emotion could be a dangerous thing around her sometimes.

Scooping up a rock at her feet, she pelted it as hard as she could towards where she had last intuited the invader. If she hit him....great.

If she mad him mad...that might not be a terrible thing in this case.

Galilee sat up and nudged Kasai, Zahar is scared....she needs help.

He slid out of the bed and pulled his vest back on, then got a small knapsack much like his guardian's and headed for the door.

Shiva moved seconds after, running to where Io had fallen and pulling frantically on her arm.

Up! Get up! she urged. If it's you he wants, you need to get away or all of us could be in trouble!

She shook her head even as she watched Chae run up, gun drawn.

Teleportation machine?she asked urgently I don't know, where is it?

"You okay, Shi? Io? Hun?" The third girl she didn't immediately recognize, and so forewent looking for her name. She watched the fight worridly, but there was no clear shot. She wasn't Wyatt Earp, after all.

Have you heard of a Teleportation machine?she asked her guardianI don't know, where it is, and Io wants to know. He's going to kill us, she says.

"Like hell he is." she answered. "Io, I don't know anything about that. Who does?"

Loki... and the fire masque's guardian... I think... Io said, trying to remember. LOKI, DAMMIT FOX BOY! GET YOUR TAIL OUT HERE!!

"Give me a minute, dammit! Genius takes time!" The voice came from the shadows, making Io turn with a slight grin to see her brother hauling a machine behind him. "I've been fiddling with it for a while. Think I might have gotten it to work. But if we use it now, Scagg will get sent along with Silva..."

Rhia stared at the dashboard for a second, then cursed long and hard as she reached forward, flickering on a switch. She should have left the damn thing with that no good fox boy. She should have just not come in the first place! Sure, it had been a favor, but dammit all--

She was so busy cursing inwardly and verbally that she didn't notice the slight breeze that seemed to rush through the cockpit of her ship. There weren't any doors or hatches open, though, so it was slightly strange. The air seemed to stop at the mask, swirling, slowly at first as it took on a light blue cast, then faster, almost as if a small tornado had started.

All the small things in the room went flying, paper scattering everywhere, small machines hitting the ground after being swept from their places. And in the eye of the tornado a form began to show. It was see through at first, the mere outline of a boy, then slowly became solid, a translucent image, the mask appearing to float in mid-air.

Then it turned solid, first the clothes, the glave, the helmet, then the body underneath. The tornado died, paper and objects falling to the ground with a steady series of little "Thumps." Kenshi took a breath, deeply taking in his surroundings, then choking on the strong scent of cigarette, his cough echoing in Rhia's mind.

What is that smell? He asked, his eye tearing slightly as he coughed again.

Kataio stood watching the fighting for a moment then walked up to where Io, Loki, and the others were standing. "How can I help?" She said not knowing what else to do.

Zahar saw Galilee's door open and she ran up to him. 'I am sorry I did not know what to do. So many things are happening.'

Chae didn't hear her, but she did see the movement. Shaking her head she said "No, hun. Getting more bodies in the fray would make it worse, not better. There has to be some way to get them apart."

Looking around for ideas, she wondered. Who the hell was this guy and what was he doing assaulting Io?
