Hane found himself inside a storage closet full of chemicals. Raleigh located a storehouse of electronics and wiring.
Still, the collective of people were noticeably missing.
From behind them, they each heard voices approaching, and the sounds of firearms being prepped for discharge.
"I heard something from this direction."
"All right. Let's check it out."

Raleigh crouched behind some wires, lips pursed with rage and anticipation. He would wait until his enemies came into veiw, then strike.

The adversaries in question were a brown-haired caucasian male and black-haired Japanese female, both human, and both wearing fatigues similar to Robert's. The telltale bulge of body armor beneath their tops was quite evident, and each held a heavy rifle and carried a pistol sidearm. Their eyes held the same glazed expression shared by many of the humans in this Zone.
They split when they reached the near point to the group, with the female going toward Alex and the male headed in Raleigh's direction.

Alex felt the warm, tingly sensation of the flame producing organs in his throat.

The Japanese woman raised her rifle, and began panning it around the area in front of her. She crept up to the edge of the room Alex occupied, hovering by the doorway, and turned to face into the room.

Alex grabbed her rifle, as he was hiding by the door, and wrenched it away. He clocked her, and then tied her up, doing his best to look scary. He pointed his stinger at her forehead. "Listen, and listen good." he whispered. "I want some goddamn information, and I want it now... this stinger, you see it? I have seen limbs explode under the effects of the venom it carries... now, if you don't tell me exactly what Tithe is planning to do with these people, I will paint this place with your GREY MATTER."

Raleigh pounced on top of his adversary, pinning him to the ground with his extra limbs and pulling his head back. "Tell me. What do you know about this Tithe and his operations. Tell me, or I'll rip your throat out and eat it."
