Sho, I'll tell you why that doesn't happen. There isn't enough going into the air. The amount of Greenhouse gases in the air is increasing by one tenth of one percent of one part per billion per decade, and the vast majority of that is produced by termites and rainforrests.

Though the global temperature has shown a raise of one half of a degree per Celcius in the last 120 years, the key spots (polar regions that could melt and flood) show a decrease in temperature and a resugance of ice levels not seen in 6,000 years.

So then the only risk right now is that the main food fish will mainly die out leaving large groups of people to seek other food sources?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 06, 2006 10:57 am

Yeah, but overfishing would have caused that anyway.

If everyone goes around saying that the overall globe isn't getting any warmer then we're going to be overfishing them while the temperature kills them off and that whole industry will flatline twice as rapidly.

(points) Hey, look at that shiny new topic of conversation!

Sho, you're only listening to half of what he said, you're taking what you said, discussing it as though it were also what Phil said, and then adding what he said about fish populations with what you said about fish populations.

It isn't that I care about fish, or people who eat fish, or whatever madness you two were talking bout, i just thought i'd point that out.

NOW THEN. As to this shiny new topic, it IS big and shiny... all chrome like and such.

Ooooh... is it how eveloution is mathematically impossible?

Jon: Ya, that was the idea. I've found that my words always have a lot more weight when they seem to be comming out of the person-on-the-other-side's mouth.

Phil: I'd be sad if that were the topic- not because I don't dislike talking about evolution but because it would require for there to be someone here who thinks it's not (mathematically) possible.

Sho, you don't listen to what anyone says do you?

I didn't say you were making it sound like he was saying the same thing you were, you're just taking what you said eariler, ignoreing the stuff he says, and then acting as though he was saying stuff that supports your opinions... you just did it agian with your last post... twice.

I tend to do that sometimes- but I don't see the second one.
I'm not even sure where it could be in the response to Phil* as that was an absolute statement about my reaction to something (as I already know what the outcome would be- it's always the same with that argument.)

*and the entirety of my response to you just seems to be one occurance.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 09, 2006 6:30 am

well, it's one occurance of the same thing you did to Phil, so it's two.

Anyway, here's what we learned:

Alright. The first time I did it it was a valid point though.

As much as I love talking about the mathematical odds of spontaneously occuring life on a planet in a universe suitable for intellegent life genetically mutating in finite time to form said intellegent life without the design or influence of a higher being and how they exceed the mathematical limit of impossibility, I simply bring it up because I think everyone else is tired of watching me beat your spoon-fed liberal mind to a pulp with real research and not the crap being pushed by the vast left-wing consipracy who want to justify their insane "definition of is" logical leaps and not be subject to some moral absolute.

You know what I like? Talking about things like "not politics."

I feel bad for even bringing up global warming in the first place. Look, all I'm saying is, if global warming exists, it's Dale's fault.

Remember folks: Hate Dale. Hit Desi.
